It took forever for me to decide what I wanted in a dining room table. I received my table with apprehension. I was told that the wood would not be like the sample I had chosen. It was like the sample. I really, really liked the table and quality.

The design for the Dining Room set was an Elm and was not quite what we wanted. So through Superior Fine Furnishings, we asked for some changes to make the table more stable. The re-designed it and it is beautiful. Only issue is the latch does not connect and we have tried since April 2020 (now March 2021) to get fixed. Besides this, the quality is real good. Except for the latch!

Some of the highest quality Amish furniture available today. The attention to detail and care in craftsmanship is superb. I highly recommend Barkman for anyone looking to purchase more modern, heirloom-quality Amish-made furniture.

Within a month after delivery of my Barkman table I noticed a split in the edge of it. As I ran my hand across the edge a large splinter broke off. After inspecting it further this crack has more splintering and branches in it so it’s not a clean split. Barkman says it’s a seasonal split and they will let me send it back for repairs - a lengthy process, but will not replace it. The furniture store I purchased it from offered to have their repair person work on it. I expect the edge will need to be sanded down quite a bit and I’m not sure what kind of oil and finish will need to be applied. I’m skeptical that I will have the beautiful live edge table I purchased. Again, I had this table for one month! I will not purchase another Barkman product.
