Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Decorah

We were working in the middle of nowhere and there were hotels 30-40 minutes in several directions but I picked a name I can usually trust and it didn’t disappoint. The location of the hotel is great with close proximity to several restaurants and food options. The view was actually pretty nice too. The hotel is modern, clean and inviting. Front desk staff was friendly. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. I stayed at another hotel I normally put on the same level the night before and this hotel met my expectations where the other fell short. Look at my pictures and video of the breakfast to see for yourself how this hotel shines. I didn’t get to the pool but it looked nice and the gym looked above average for a hotel.

Rooms were very clean and they have ample, well lit parking. Hotel staff was very friendly and professional. Easy access on the highway.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff went above and beyond. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The facility was modern and updated. The gentleman at the front desk even wrote a note from the tooth fairy for me, which was a lifesaver, as my kid did compare handwriting. Thank you for everything you do!

This was a very quiet, very clean, great location hotel. Free breakfast super comfortable bed and typical amenities of a 3 to 4 start hotel. We stayed one night and was very comfortable there. If we were in Decorah area again we would definitely stay again.

I arrived early and was greeted with a "your room is ready" . Room was exactly as picture and looked even better in person. I was placed on the 2nd floor across from elevators...I will mention this is directly over the pool(I was noticing a bit of noise) Called front desk asked what time pool closed(10 p.m.) so early enough to not infringe on my sleep. Bed was comfortable, room warm enough. Complimentary wi fii moved quickly. Breakfast was good, nothing dried out or inedible. Definitely passable for a hotel breakfast Complimentary coffee in the lobby as well. Also front desk staff was happy to share suggestions for where to eat as well.

You gotta stay here! Amazing customer service. Even if the building didn't still have that new construction smell, we suspect it would still be clean and pleasant.

We had an amazing stay here! Great staff, lots of parking. Room was very clean and updated. TVs had Netflix capability which was great for our kids! Pool was small, but very clean. Nice outdoor patio with tables and chairs. Breakfast was delicious. Good variety: eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, breakfast bars, etc. Free ice water in the lobby was perfect for the hot day. We would definitely stay here again.

My stay this winter for around 40 nights was Incredible!! The rooms were clean and homey with breakfast every morning. I couldn't have picked a better spot to call home while away. Teri, Jeness and Amber were Terrific in making me feel welcome and at home.

First impressions are everything & this place did a wonderful job!! Had reservations for 3pm arrived early at 10, & drove 3 & a half hours to get here so we can go see the waterfalls at Dunning Springs & it’s been raining all day so was seeing if we could check in early, they accommodated our needs & are so polite & just over all wonderful customer service.

Very clean and modern hotel. The suite was very large with a huge bathroom and fit our family of 5 perfectly. Breakfast was great in the morning as well. Pool is kinda small, but it was a week day so we were the only ones in there so it didn't matter. Great stay overall.

My family and extended family stayed there this past weekend for Luther College graduation. Check in/out was quick and friendly. We found the rooms clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were ample. The views from the rooms were lovely. My family spent time in the pool and gym. The breakfast was delicious. There was a steady supply of food and the area was clean and well stocked. The lobby was inviting and relaxing. The hotel was easily accessible and the parking lot was ample, clean and well lit. The outdoor patio has a privacy wall and we all enjoyed the fresh Iowa air. Everyone's customer service skills made us feel welcomed. I was a little disappointed with the Wifi service though. I and my family just wanted to say Thank You staff.

Everything was wonderful, the rooms were great and the rates were in line with other places in Decorah. The gym is well equipped for a smaller hotel and the pool seems like it would be great for kids. Check-in/out was a breeze and all of the staff we talked to were great. Let's just say I won't be needing my rewards account with another hotel chain that may or may not be on the same road.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Quiet with comfortable beds. They have a very nice fitness center, but the pool is tiny. I don't think you could get two strokes in if you tried to swim across it. Wish they would have put a large hottub in instead.

Great place for family and friends! I always recommend this hotel. I like how it feels city-like. It’s newer and very clean here. I like the overall feel, modern and comfortable. No noise complaints EVER here. Lots of perks, including a fitness center, pool, and complimentary breakfast. It also has a cute outside area to relax in. :)

Very nice new hotel in great easy to access location. Rooms are cozy but well decorated, designed and cleaned. Front desk staff is very friendly and all of our needs were met in a efficient and competent manner. Would definitely stay again!

Staff was very friendly during our stay. Have a decent exercise space and pool. Nearby a few later evening food options if you didnt want some of the choices inside the hotels pantry style snack area(for purchase). Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, plenty of pillows, and good water pressure. Would stay again if passing through.

Very clean, nice pool, but very crowded near 6 pm. Comfortable beds and pillows. Minimal breakfast choice. The pool was at its deepest at 4ft 6in

Loved it. The bed was firm, very comfortable for our taste. The room had plenty of room, nice TV with Netflix/Hulu/etc. Large shower - 3 or 4 people could get in there if they were really friendly, but I showered by myself. Black-out curtains on the window so low light if you want to sleep during the day. I didn't look at the pool but the fitness room had a good assortment of exercise machines. The building is near new. It was quiet when we were there but I suspect it could be a bit noisy if crowded. There was a 5 yr old with huge stomping feet in the morning when they were going to the pool. It wasn't really a disturbance as we are used to having kids around but that is the reason I think it could get noisy at times here.
I heard coyotes outside during the night but was too lazy to get up and try to see them.
Breakfast was pretty decent for a free hotel breakfast. Yogurt, a couple of kinds of fruit, eggs & ham, hard boiled eggs, waffles, an assortment of juices - mostly stuff that comes off a truck, but filling and decent.
I asked about discounts, veteran and senior, and was told the government price was $94 (regular price $79 or 74, not sure) and senior price was $67. I thought it weird that the government, or veteran, price was higher than regular price but didn't have time to discuss it. $67 was a great price for this hotel.
If I need a hotel in Decorah again I'll choose this one.we
