La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Elkview - Charleston NE

My husband and I were looking for a clean, pet-friendly place to stay on our road trip. We lucked out and found this La Quinta, which wasn’t too far off our existing route. Jacob was incredibly helpful and professional when I called, asking for more details on their pet policy. At the time of our stay (early November 2023) we paid $25 for both of our toy poodles for one night stay (Jacob was really good about reiterating “$25 per night, not per pet” by phone). When we checked in, and throughout the evening, Jacob and Jeremy were at the front desk. They were so friendly and professional! I got the impression they enjoyed working with each other and helping the customers.

Our room was clean, and our hallway was quiet. I appreciated that we were given a room at the end of the hallway so that our dogs don’t hear too much disturbance.

The pet area is toward the back, facing the library. Was clean as well, no gifts left by other pets.

Would recommend this hotel if you’re in need of clean, pet- friendly accommodations.

One of the best hotel stays I have ever had. I stay in hotels very often and this was one of the best. Great price, great people and great breakfast. Nothing fancy just well decorated and very clean. The breakfast was far better than expected, especially at this price point.

This is a wonderful hotel, Mrs. Kristen is fabulous, the gentleman serving breakfast was awesome , you can tell they are both kind hearted people , everything was exceptionally clean , from the lobby to the room when we come back to the area we will definitely be staying here again. Money well spent.

Elkview WV property — we stayed here 12/31/23. The front desk clerk was exceptional—professional, congenial, knowledgeable — the property was clean & comfortable. Hot shower, new thick towels; the bed was comfortable. The only negative was the road traffic, but it was tolerable. I would definitely refer a family member or friend to this location. Thank you!

This hotel is by far a must stop. It’s always a great trip when we stop here. Our room is always very clean and accommodating. The housekeeping staff was beyond friendly and always kept with our needs. Especially Stacie, Marlena, Kylie and Jade. We loved being welcomed by and meeting Melissa, Jacob and Jeremy. They made our stay and we cant wait to be back! The decorations and fireplace make it feel even more like home.

I love this hotel. I stay here every other week for a day or 2. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean on check-in. Beds are comfortable. plenty of food options nearby. Yesterday I tried the continental breakfast for the first time and loved it. Went back for seconds. The scrambled eggs were awesome. This place has a homie atmosphere and is quite livable. Thanks for being the Dream Team of staff. See you all in a couple weeks.

Everyone on staff was personable and happy to help guest with needs and request. I would happily stay at this hotel again, everything was clean and well stocked!

We absolutely love staying at this hotel! Kristen, Kylie and Stacie made our check in smooth and made us feel beyond welcomed. Marlena and Jade made sure our rooms were spotless and kept up with our every needs. Melissa, Jacob and Jeremy were the best at night and helped us so much. 10/10 would recommend staying here with this excellent staff.

The front desk staff was awesome! Breakfast and dining server were amazing! Beautifully decorated lobby! I really appreciated not being grilled about my need for a service dog or providing a certificate, staff was very well informed of the legality of doing so. The one nominal fee for two dogs is very reasonable!

Would definitely recommend joining the la quinta elkview family and staying here. Jeremy and Stacie had such great customer service in welcoming us. As a frequent stayer to this hotel Melissa and Jacob were very nice and accommodating. Kylie and Kristen at the front desk were absolutely FANTASTIC. They made my grandson feel welcome even though he’s rather loud and wild. Jade and Marlena left our rooms always clean and smelling fresh. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Absolutely amazing and friendly people. I'm on crutches and the cook even helped carry my plate and get me stuff I wanted for breakfast. Rooms were nice and breakfast was great!

We traveled to the area on a family vacation (My Dad, Brother, and me). I have nothing but accolated for this facility. The location was perfect, with easy access on and off the highway. Adjoining Plaza has all you need in terms of food, pharmacy, and retail. The rooms were very clean, and all the amenities of a standard in a room in this price range. The FREE breakfast buffet would satisfy any of your breakfast wishes with a wide variety of hot and cold offerings. They use fresh eggs for the scrambled eggs!!!

I wish to congratulate the franchisee/management of this hotel for attracting an incredible staff. They were like staying with family.

A wonderful place to stay, the staff, Melissa,Stacie, Jacob, and the tall gentleman that prepared breakfast were so nice and accommodating!! As a frequent traveler driving over sized loads having parking in a safe place and a friendly person to talk to helps unwind after a long day... Thanks again!!

Jakob at the front desk is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! My daughter left her favorite stuffed animal in our room and he took the time to find it and mail it back to her.

The hotel was just what we needed along our road trip. Jason at check-in was warm, friendly, enthusiastic and helpful to us weary travelers. He was a real highlight of the stay.

This is the second time we stayed about five nights at this hotel. The staff were all awesome very polite very professional the rooms are very clean and the breakfast was wonderful, we will go there again

Jacob was very helpful and friendly. I have a daughter who is known to be rather loud and obnoxious, especially when she is bored, and he was more than happy to help entertain her while i filled out the paperwork. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and breakfast was very good. The pool is currently under maintenance, so I am not sure how it is, but everything else was perfect

Jake was super helpful and welcoming after a long drive from nyc. Hotel is nice and most importantly dog friendly! It's hard to find a good hotel that's clean but also friendly to animals. And again Jacob at the front desk really made things very easy !

We were warmly welcomed by the Manager Mellissa who was very helpful with the check in process and orienting us to the property. After a long day on the road her warm smile and attitude was very welcome. Clean rooms, good food, friendly staff and weight machine in the exercise room. Lots of stores within walking distance.

Great service. Was getting a little frustrated that our room key wasn't working but the third time was a charm and we got in. The employees were very friendly and did a great job. Breakfast was great and they worked hard to take care of their customers. Would definitely stop here again if in the area.
