Hilltop Needmore Town Park & Preserve

Great place to walk. Safe, quiet and picturesque. We had an absolutely gorgeous day with no humidity, blue skies and sun and the temperature was just right. If it had been hotter or humid we would have felt it because there is very little shade. There are a few different paths you can take, most of the walk being flat but if you veer off you can catch some hills as well. Definitely coming back again.

Since I am not a good golfer, my favorite part of golfing has always been walking the course. Hilltop Needmore is like doing that without the carts and greens. It's beautiful and well maintained. A great way to spend an hour or two in the outdoors.

We love this park. Red trail is just over 2 miles and has nice hills. Yellow trail is also just over two miles and is flatter. Blue trail is a comfortable .6 miles.

Look for the nice family photo bench on the yellow trail (see my photos).

Old gold course turned into walking trails. They have easy walks and extrem hilly walks. Dogs welcome. The kids love going down the big hills on their Bikes and skateboards. Very peaceful for a walk or run.

So glad there is new walking park in Fuquay-Varina. It has rolling hills and is very scenic ! Three different trails that can total 5 miles for a great workout . I really enjoyed walking here . There was a lot of people using the trails but not crowded. A large group of women had just finished a workout with a trainer . Plenty of open space as it used to be a gold course.

This old golf course is really pretty and the red path is definitely a challenge. The hills are fairly steep, which is great for the challenge. It is over 2 miles so be prepared.

LOVE it here, it's never busy so I am able to take my dog off leash and throw a few sticks to him (note it is NOT an off leash park). Beautiful trees and grass spaces. Not a lot of shade for the summer time.

Good trail for running, biking, strollers, most of it is not shaded, some big hills but mostly flat.

Lovely wide open green spaces and some ponds. Nice 3 mile hike. Not very shaded on the trails, but there are big fields and trails. Would be great to bring the fam for picnics and football. Paved trails. Air conditioned rest rooms were a nice surprise half way down the red trail. 3 trails total. Good sledding too!

I’ve walked these trials almost daily for the past year. So grateful for this park. Cannot recommend enough

Beautiful former golf course converted into three scenic walking trails. Great for portrait photography, picnics, burning off children's energy, bike riding, running, walk & talk w/friends, dog walking, & recreation.

Nice place for jugging and outdoor activities. There are two loops each 2 miles.

Absolutely gorgeous!! The highs and lows of the trail are perfect for endurance training..
If only there were more trees, would really love the sounds of beautiful birdies while running through the trail.. would be great if they could change a little bit of the golf course in to a nice trail of trees..

What a beautiful place to walk or bike! There are 3 different paved trails/loops (blue, yellow, red). I like that the trails are color coded. The trail map at the parking lot makes it easy to decide which loop is right for you.

What the town of Fuquay-Varina has done here is a hidden gem if you haven’t already discovered it. Multiple paths are color-coordinated and it has the scenery of golf course.. because it used to be one! This is the perfect place to work on your fitness and enjoy the open, professionally sculpted landscape.

Enjoyed the hike around on the paved walkway. Mostly level with gentle hills. Scenic.

Great old golf course to walk or ride around. Waiting for a good snow, the sledding here would be awesome.

Love the paved path ways. Neat that it was converted to a park from a golf course.

Very nice place to walk, just you or with friends / family. You can walk your dog to but has to be on a leash.
