Awesome meal. We have not been here in a while and wanted to come back and support them. They were busy and short staffed, but it was worth it. We will be back again soon.

We have now been back almost every Tuesday (1/2 bottles of wine) and Nina's has not disappointed yet. I would suggest to make sure you hear the specials and maybe eat outside your comfort zone and try something new. I have and it is always great.

Update: nothing has changed still a great time.

I love this place. They have some of the best mussels I have ever eaten. Sit at the bar and have a drink, or a meal. Chat with the bartenders who make a killer old fashioned. Check out the wine list. Watch a Canes game. Quiet enough that you can actually have a conversation. Eat in the dining room. Great atmosphere and a nice menu. This is not a pizza joint. It is a quiet little gem.

Amber and I finally were able.to connect to celebrate my birthday last night. We were both going to be in Raleigh so I searched Google Maps for restaurants near our location. My favorite food is Italian so decided to give Nina's a whirl! To start we were trying to set up her phone to take a pic and the bartender, Chris, noticed and came outside to take it. Chris also ended up being our waiter and made us feel right at home. He was amazing! We recognized they are a little short staffed and service would take longer which gave us visiting/talking time. They have a herb garden where the chef (Roberto?) And Chris get fresh herbs for the drinks and dishes We ordered the Eggplant Rolletini and Gorganzolla Salad to share. The entrees were the Diver Scallops and Ravioli with Salmon. Chris brought the best Salted Carmel ice cream (Gelato?) with whipped cream and a candle for my bday. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will most certainly be back!

Called right when they opened for a 6:30 reservation and they had a spot for us. The food was amazing! 👏 they started us with complimentary bread/brushetta then our appetizer was stuffed mushrooms (fungi ripieni). I could have just eaten that all day. It was soo good. I ordered a penne con pollo and my dinner companion ordered chicken marsala. Then we finished with tiramisu cake and a chocolate cake. The chicken marsala is off menu and they also have chicken parm off menu too. I have no complaints and know we will be going again.

A couple of things to note:
The restaurant using dim lighting so you may need your phone light to see the menu

It doesn't say on the menu or anywhere else. If you don't have cash, there is a 4% surcharge. They circle it on the bill. I did have majority cash for the bill based on a review I saw about it but it wasn't enough and they still charged me 4%. They really should just hide the surcharge into the food cost and I would not complain.

We went early. Get reservations. Worked out great. Atmosphere was great. Waitress was great. Food was great. A little grizzle in my steak, but was cooked perfectly, and had good texture. The bruschetta was the best ever. Pineapple martini was perfect. We will go again!

I usually go to a restaurant a few times before putting forth a review. This was my third time at Nina’s and all three times the food has been exquisite and the service outstanding. Our server/waiter has been Anthony and he is as I previously stated outstanding. The great thing here they work as a team everyone on the staff is always checking things and making sure the patrons needs are being met. They have a very good wine list. So if you haven’t been to Nina’s I would advise you to go for some great food and top notch service.

We checked out this restaurant on Valentine’s Day and were impressed with the wide variety of selections and professional service. There were several menu items that didn’t contain the heavy sauces that often come with Italian food. Also, the tiramisu was the best we’ve ever had. We look forward to going back.

They accommodate you when you ask for anything that's needed and seating as well. One of the best veal cutlets I've ever had and I've had many of them. The staff is super friendly and always willing to Make your time there pleasant. My entire family loves it. Rich

Great meal - like a true Italian meal! Fresh food, great staff, attentive but not too much. It's like your at home and can sit and chat and not get rushed out.

We had a fantastic experience at Nina’s this evening. The bartender is a delight and so knowledgeable (and he grows the herbs used here.) I ordered the puttanesca and asked for it spicy. It was perfect! The Chianti was very good and the atmosphere was relaxed and so special. Like ALL restaurants right now, Nina’s is understaffed; our bartender was working the whole dining room (not just the bar) and even had to act as food runner. He never once missed a beat and kept his humor up the whole time. He’s worth the visit alone but BONUS: the food is delicious. Oh, and did he say Tuesday nights are half priced wine bottle nights? Hello new Tuesday night tradition. Thank you Nina’s for being open. See you again soon.

Great outside seating for 5 and excellent service ,excellent food, treated us like family . Will definitely go to this great place a real treat. Called at the last min . And they went out of their way to get us in on mother's day weekend. Boy were we happy. And the blueberry Mojitos were out of this world delicious. 2 thump up . It is Moderately expensive. But definitely worth it.

I have been here 6 years and just learning about this place from a neighbor. We are creatures of habit and tend to go somewhere close by, but this place is close. Never knew it. The food was very good, and drinks were very good. staff was so nice. Definitely going back!

I love Nina's. My family goes there often and always have a great meal. I saw some of the reviews below that were not happy about service, and I will grant that sometime you get the odd waiter who is not up to snuff. But most of the staff are very good, and I hate to see the restaurant get dinged for a few bad serving experiences. Could they do a better job with hiring and training their waitstaff? Sure, but it is a high turnover occupation and sometimes you may have to take on someone who isn't quite ideal, or seems good until you learn otherwise. The food is great, and unlike most restaurants, Nina has always been happy to adjust recipes when possible. I love it!

Outstanding cuisine & Outstanding personal attentiveness.
Huge portions and big pours.
Farm fresh ingredients artfully prepared.
More importantly Nina's continues to swim against a tide that has overwhelmed so many small businesses.
Not only will you enjoy their diverse and inventive menu you will be helping Nina's survive! In addition their takeout continues to tickle my taste buds. Say hello to Chris for me.

Last night we celebrated my parents 56th anniversary. When calling for reservations we were warned that they were terribly short staffed. And they were! But, once our expectations were set, we had an amazing time. The food was delicious! We will be back!
