Great experience at mean mug today! The staff was really friendly, the food and drinks were amazing, and the space was super cozy. We got the avocado toast with smoked salmon and a Morningstar sausage biscuit sandwich for food. Both were top notch. The London fog and matcha were also incredible. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a coffee shop around Chattanooga!

Delicious, quick breakfast spot! This was my go to spot after being on vacation in TN for a week. One of the best biscuit sandwiches I had while in town. Not only was the food great (bagels, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, etc.) but the service was great.

Was visiting Chattanooga from Florida for labor day weekend, went here for breakfast everyday during my stay because my GF and I fell in love with this place. The food was excellent the staff super friendly and the prices are unbelievable. In Boca Raton you would easily spend double for the same food and wouldn't taste as good.

First visit today. Loved that the music was not blaring. My London fog was lovely. Service was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend it. I will be going back to try food items in the future.

In a nice old building and they kept the ambiance! Very friendly service, had steel cut oats and fruit 😋. Coffee is good and hot! Didn't try but they have some donuts and cinnamon rolls plus more for a sweet tooth.

Amazing little breakfast spot. Was taking a trip to Chattanooga and needed a quick stop for coffee. Ended up getting Salmon bagels. They were delicious. Coffee was great as well. Staff was friendly, and the building had a great overall atmosphere.

Finally checked this place out during one of my bi-monthly excursions to Chatt. Their London Fog is among the better ones I've had, along with being served at a very acceptable temperature. The Alice is a big win, especially when one adds bacon. Portions are reasonable and you would definitely get plenty of bang for your buck. The overall vibe is laid back and definitely a hipster joint. The service at Mean Mug is amenable and overall experience is not stressful in the slightest. There were several dogs that other customers brought with them, so if you're an animal lover you'll get even more out of this experience. Highly recommend this low-key establishment.

What a great little neighborhood coffee shop with excellent food options and fresh in-house baked goods. The service is exceptional and the young man attending the counter was very warm, welcoming and engaging (sorry, I didn’t get his name). This location seems like a hidden gem. I live close by, however, I haven’t visited as much as I’d hoped. That is sure to change. Highly recommend the Breakfast Biscuit.

Being walking distance from my office I meet clients here whenever I’m needing to meet a new client outside of the office. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is calming. Food is great. Drinks are great. I always get the horchata steamer, best drink ever. Definitely recommend it. Seating can be difficult at times if they are busy. If your alone, othen times you can snag a seat an occupied table without issue.

Horchata Steamer alone is worth the visit. I love that the homemade granola was beautiful, filling and included healthful protein rich seeds.

The biscuit sandwich was hearty, homemade and authentic. Delicious!

Even the muffin had fabulous crumb and excellent flavor balance!

The whole family was happy with their orders and i *love* finding businesses like this. They deserve the all the success!

Love the Pink Lattes from here!💗 They have some really nice hot drink options that are healthy sweetened with honey that actually taste good! Great location with a nice patio to bring your fur friends. Their oatmeal and scrambled eggs are good and they give generous portion sizes. The Nutella muffins are very yum as well! Love ordering delivery from here too! This place is absolutely amazing. 💗

I love Mean Mug! It's my favorite coffee place in Chattanooga and they have the best cinnamon rolls that I've ever had (outside of my Mom's.) Their drinks are always good and their menu is really fresh and tasty. My favorite is the smoked salmon bagel. I tried their homemade yogurt and granola this morning and it was great too.

nice little coffee shop. great coffee. only gave them 3 stars on the atmosphere because of the amount of dust accumulating on top of light fixtures and ceiling fans. owners need to step back and look up.

Breakfast and coffee were hot and fresh. Only took a few minutes to get what we ordered. Great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Service with a smile.

Great vibe, with good food and coffee! I got the prosciutto biscuit sandwich with the pink latte. So filling and tasty. The sandwich had great flavor! The pink latte was good as well, with beet root, orange, ginger, honey, and coconut milk.

We had breakfast here twice during our Chattanooga visit. They do plain black coffee very well, and their breakfast biscuits or croissants are great. If I lived here, I'd be a regular.

Wonderful coffee shop in a nice part of Chattanooga. I got the peppermint latte, my wife got the lavender latte. The lavender was phenomenal. Smooth as silk and not too sweet. The peppermint was also very good, and also not too sweet. I highly recommend checking them out if you want some great coffee.

Parking: plenty of street parking all along the block.

Coffee: fast, delicious, big-city prices (my double dirty chai latte was $6.50.)

Pastries: surprisingly affordable. Great selection, made in house.

Service: fantastic. Friendly and diverse in appearance. Very welcoming.

Physical shop: beautiful chic industrial with exposed brick. Classic bay windows with a couple outdoor seats by the main entrance and a full patio on the side.

Perks: bathrooms and FAST Internet. A great place to perch and work, or back up your photos and download an iOS update!

Overall: A+, will be back.

Had breakfast with an oat milk latte, definitely prefer the latte to their drip. I was able to get the avocado toast on a gluten free bun (it’s an Udi’s gf bun). They toasted the bun which is the key to making any gf bread palatable.
