We took part in the morning 3-hour whale-watching tour. The crew were able to find many humpbacks, and provided interesting facts along the way about whales, Maui, and the water environment. The food provided was actually tasty and filling. Would recommend!

I had a Whale Watching tour with Pacific Whale Foundation in feb 2024. $68 per person before tips. The tour lasted 2h and we were able to see many whales as Feb and March are the best month to see them

This was my second time booking an excursion with PacWhale and had a great experience! Plus, knowing that proceeds go to help fund conservation and promote understanding of our under-waters friends is a nice bonus! My husband and I booked a whale watching excursion this go-around and it was great! The first time I booked with them, I did a Molokini Crater and Turtle Cove snorkeling excursion. During this recent trip there was plenty of whale action to see! The narration of the naturalists aboard was very informative and educational. I thought the trip was well organized and time managed. They made time to spend watching the whales and traveling within safe distance to see them as different groups moved about before we had to head back to the harbor. I thought the length of the tour (2 hours) was the perfect amount of time. Definitely bring binoculars! If you have a nice camera, that would also be highly recommended to bring along. These images and videos were taken by my iPhone and husband’s Android. Overall our experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend them for your excursions!

My husband and I went on the sunset dinner cruise and we enjoyed ourselves. The boat was new, the crew great, the captain was very informative and we enjoyed his narration. The dinner was actually pretty good (I wasn't sure about boat food), we had chicken and steak, drinks were a little weak but good. The main event was the gorgeous sunset! It was perfect! Overall I recommend this excursion, the only thing that they can't control is that there were some rough and bumpy parts of the ocean, so something to be aware of and take meds if needed. Mahalo!

What a whale of an experience! I often spot whales from the coastline during the season, but joining this expedition was so much fun! We encountered a "competition" pod of about 15-20 humpback whales. The amazing sounds, closeness, and overall experience was awesome!!! Highly recommend riding with Captain Dan and Mikaela and Kali! Many momma and baby whales with their escorts as well! Highly recommend going early (we did 10:30) as the wind wasn't bad and no motion sickness (I took a preventative Dramamine). We did a light brekkie and we were hangry after the tour - it was exhilarating and mentally exhausting to constantly being blown away with the majesty of the humpback whales! Please go and support PWF!

This tour was by far the best snorkeling trip during my stay in Maui. The crew itself made this tour the best. The Captain, Anna was experienced and did her best to ensure we saw what we were all hoping to see. Since it was not whale season, we were all hoping to see dolphins. Not only did we see many dolphins, she spotted something in the water and decided to venture over to check it out. It just so happened to be two 12-ft wide Manta Rays. We spent 30 minutes watching them give us a show around the boat. The tour was also informational about the different marine species in the area, the company itself, and their part in preserving all Marine life. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui. You will not regret it.

We loved our snorkel experience! The entire crew was phenomenal, and we loved learning from the naturalists on board and in the water. This really set this tour apart from any other snorkel tour we have been on. The fact that the tour supports the Pacific Whale Foundation is even better!!!

Our recent sunset dinner cruise with PacWhale Eco-Adventures exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were transported into a world of natural wonder and sumptuous delights, masterfully guided by Ollie, an exceptional crew member and a marvelously knowledgeable marine biologist.

The evening started off with an effortless boarding process that set the tone for the journey. We were warmly greeted by Ollie, who, throughout the trip, personified the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. His enthusiasm was contagious, igniting in us a profound curiosity and respect for the oceanic wonders we were about to encounter.

As we sailed off into the brilliant sunset, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the coast, our eyes feasting on the dramatic interplay of colors reflected off the ocean surface.

Ollie’s expertise as a marine biologist added an educational layer to the enchanting experience. His intricate knowledge of the ocean's marine life and knowledge he communicated it with infectious passion.

When it came to dinner, the cruise did not disappoint. The food was exquisite – a delicious selection of chicken, steak, mushroom and shrimp. The freshness and quality of the food were top-notch, and it was perfectly complemented by the assortment of drinks on offer. Eating to the soundtrack of the gently lapping waves made it an unmatched dining experience.

In terms of safety and cleanliness, PacWhale Eco-Adventures excelled. The ship was impeccably maintained and clean, allowing us to relax and enjoy our journey in comfort.

Overall, our dinner sunset cruise with PacWhale Eco-Adventures was an experience we will cherish forever. With the combination of picturesque views, delicious food, and Ollie's unforgettable service and knowledge, this trip was truly an eco-adventure of a lifetime. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and enriching experience on the water.

My wife and I did the Molokini Crater tour on our honeymoon and we had so much fun! Our captain and the crew were very knowledgeable and hospitable through our journey to the crater and back. The waves got a little choppy so we had to cut our snorkeling short 20 or so minutes and due to the choppiness we did not get to do our second snorkeling session. They ended up giving us free drinks while we were just cruising the ocean instead of taking us to the Turtle Bay part of the snorkel adventure. The Go Pro cameras they sell you for 40$ at the gift shop would not be worth it in the event you do not get to snorkel, but we had a great time with it! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it.

Great sunset sail with Captain Vaun and the crew (Jordan, Des, Caitlin). We did see whales, and we did travel by sail power for a good chunk of the voyage. Everything was amazing, including the sunset. No ukulele, but everything else was as promised.

This trip was wonderful! My wife and I did the Molokini SnorkelingTour on 6/19/2022 and it was incredible. They have GoPros there for you to rent so you can take pictures. The crew on the boat were all very well educated on marine biology and answered all our questions. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. 100% worth it.

We loved our snorkel cruise with Captain Daniel and his crew. They were a fun crew! We saw lots of whales on our way going out to snorkel and coming back. Unfortunately it was too windy to go to the crater but the crew made the best of a windy day. We enjoyed the places we snorkeled. I liked that the crew was out in the water with us keeping us safe. We had fun learning about the fish and reef. All around a great day!

My wife and I had a wonderful time with PacWhale. We signed up for the Dolphin and Snorkeling tour.

Our Captain, Bobby, was super knowledgeable, funny and made the experience super enjoyable. The team of marine biologists on the boat were informative, caring, and attentive.

For breakfast, we were served fresh fruits and juice. For lunch, we were offered hot dogs and grilled chicken burgers. We had the option of macaroni salad and bean salad to accompany our meals. They also offered a complimentary alcoholic beverage.

Like others have mentioned, the "check-in" process is a little confusing and somewhat unnecessary. Their store is maybe a 5 minutes walk away from the marina where you'll board the boat. At the store, all they do is confirm your name and stamp your hand so that the crew knows you've checked in. Our experience with boarding the actual ship was pleasant, but our group was less than 25 people so there was plenty of space of the ship.

For snorkeling, we were super lucky. When we arrived at "Club", which is a popular snorkeling location off the shore of Lanai, the Captain was pleasantly surprised at how clear the waters were and we had a great experience.

For the dolphin watch, we got the chance to encounter the "rarest" of the types of Dolphins in the area, which were called Spotted Dolphins. Truly magical experience that I'll never forget. It was a pod of more than 20 dolphins and they swam near/with the boat for over 30 minutes.

Overall, if you're looking for an eco-friendly, informative, and fun tour of the waters of Maui, PacWhale is a fantastic option.

Wonderful experience with Pacwhale’s dolphin watch~ we had never seen these much dolphin at the same time. They played near our sailing for a long time. The team is friendly and helpful, food and drinks are good! Nice experience for families with kids! We also got an amazing family photo before boarding, highly recommended!

I joined the molokini and turtle snorkeling tour with Pac-Whale a dew days back. The trip was very well organized. It was my first time snorkeling and I had a good time, though very sun-burnt.
Not that this is relevant, but I almost died later that day because of severe allergic reaction. Not sure what caused it as I did not recall touching anything or being bitten by anything. Thanks god I survived it. Phew!

We had an amazing trip today with Captain Aaron, Jack and Matt. We were on the Molokini Wildside trip and had perfect weather and calm seas. We saw turtles, whales, tons of pretty fish and coral. We’d definitely go again.

I went on the voyager today for a Lana’i snorkel and dolphin watch. Man, it was one of the BEST days ever. Boat rides are awesome to begin with but once we got closer to lana’i we had a pod of dolphins come hangout and I thought that was the highlight…not even close. Shark fin rock, a former place only for Ali’i (royalty) was our chosen snorkel spot. A spot so unique it could have only been known by a kanaka (native) which luckily our captain was. Captain Bobby told us stories that only a kanaka would know and enriched our experience 10 fold. In addition to a great captain, we had an above and beyond crew. Kae, Josh, jack and Claire were the epitome of a friendly, educated and prepared crew. Claire and jack were the main naturalists on board. Their ability to get on the microphone and talk publicly, tell jokes and most importantly educate others was admirable. I’m very thankful and stoked that I chose to go with Pacific Whale Foundation for this trip.
