Chickens were well packaged in their box. They had grogel gel to sustain them on their journey. It took them less than a day to get acclimated. They are enjoying the coop and free ranging. Very healthy birds. Will purchase from DRF again.

Shipped on day I requested, everyone made it and is happy and healthy! Plus they sent extra chicks which is greatly appreciated!

Our new Wellsummer pullets are still in 30 day quarantine but are all doing fine. They are healthy, active, and inquisitive in their new coop and run. The Wellsummer Roo in the coop near theirs is excited. The long drive was worth it to get these young hens.

All ten of our Welsummer chicks arrived alive and well, despite the USPS completely losing track of them for 24 hours. The chicks were packaged very well, with a straw mat for their safety and comfort, and electrolyte gel to help sustain them. Allison was extremely helpful, and patiently answered all my questions in detail. I would highly recommend Deer Run Farm to anyone looking for quality chicks from a professional breeder. I ordered four specific chicks and the remaining six were “breeder’s choice” but I put a note with my order what breed I preferred if they had extras that day and they completely fulfilled my wish.

Bought Americana fertilized eggs for my brooding hen. Arrived quickly and perfectly. Sadly, I did not have an incubator and my hen stopped brooding halfway...out of the 12 eggs I purchased I had potential of hatching 6 chicks. I will buy again and appreciate the customer support.

Got our first two started pullets from this farm! Easy ordering, scheduling, and pick-up experience. The girls were already in an appropriate cardboard box when we arrived -- ready to go! The farmers were very friendly and helpful and the hens are still doing great. We're happy customers :) My only suggestion is to write the hatch date on the cardboard box so that info gets automatically transferred to the new home. Thank you!

Ordered Olive Egger hatching eggs. Great communication, packaging and quality of eggs. They included three extras and all fifteen arrived in perfect shape. Let's hope the USPS was gentle with them in transit- they arrived perfect and ready to go!
