Gilligans Bar & Grill

Attended the Luau at Gilligan's on a Wednesday evening for a 530pm show. They say get there at 5pm but if suggest 10 min early max. We paid $440 for two premium VIP seats to sit in the front as there is no stage and it could be tough to see the show if you sit behind the VIP section.
The food was fantastic! I tried everything and so yummy! The service was awesome and with alcohol included, it was a wonderful free flow from the servers who earned the extra we tipped. The dancers were phenomenal, the sunset was perfect, the live music so good. Great experience overall though they really should work on options for all to see the show better.

We had a wonderful family time! We went with the VIP seating and glad we did! Fantastic Musicians! Wonderful show, beautiful dancers!! Food was good with unlimited drinks! Great service! I'd recommend if you're looking for a reasonable priced, intimate setting for your luau!

We paid for VIP seating and I thought the show was incredible. The dancers, the MC and the musicians were amazing. Beautiful costumes, singing, storytelling and dancing. The serving staff were attentive and helpful. The food wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but plentiful and lots of variety. I’m never “wowed” by buffets because they are, well, buffets. But all and all, I enjoyed the food and drinks very much. If you are staying on the south side of Maui, it’s a wonderful show to check out.

The show was fantastic. I have been to several Luau's in my lifetime and this one did not disappoint. They followed the islands and did the dances beautifully. I loved how the music was live and not recordings.

The food was plentiful and delicious and the servers were great. Very attentive!

We took our kids to a Luau at the venue and so glad we did, they were mesmerized by the show the whole time. I loved the more intimate setting in comparison with other larger shows, every seat has a great view and you don’t feel crowded or trapped into a tourist activity. Dinner and the show was very well paced. We got to enjoy the sunset over the golf course while listening to the music and sipping on our cocktails prior to the show

Good timing of dinner, beautiful sunset. Get the vip ticket, worth sitting up close and eating early with a family (antsie kids). Don't know what the bad reviews are about, people weren't packed in at all, felt spacious. Chicken and pork were excellent. Not worth spending resort luau money, this one is more authentic dancers, as good of food and service.

My wife and I were in Maui for vacation and decided to see the show. Perfect from the start. Check-in was very organized. We were given leis and escorted to our seats. The buffet was very good which included dessert. Open bar was also included in the price. Our waiter was on point. We never had to wait for a refill. The MC was very knowledgeable and informative on Hawaiian culture and knew how to get the audience going. The dancers were beyond Amazing! From their flawless dance moves to their beautiful costumes. The Fire Dancer was captivating. He’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. The venue is smaller than the other shows around town but that made it even nicer. So glad we decided to see the show before heading back to NY.

We have been to many different luaus over the years, this one was quaint and personable. After a bit of mis communication on seating arrangements, the owner accommodated us very graciously. The food was very good and plentiful! The one thing I would suggest is that the dessert try to be served colder. Those mousse desserts served colder would be fantastic! The servers were very attentive. The singers and performers were fabulous that ended with a fire dancer. The drummer even invited our 4 year old grandson up to join him. We will return again in the future!

Went for the luau, food was excellent! Buffet type, the show was really great! The performers actually seemed happy to be there and went all out to make sure that everyone had a great time!

The one we had planned was flooded out in Kauai. We were looking to find one and we came across this one. Very glad we did, the food was great. The drinks were amazing and the service was awesome.

We loved the luau and the food! This was the first of three luau's that I have been to here in Hawaii that didn't allow for the patrons to take pictures Wyeth the performers (other than the drummer). As a travel advisor I would highly reccomend that you have the performers stick around for 10-15 minutes after the show in their costumes and allow the patrons to take pictures with them. Other than that the dood and entertainment was exceptional! #gilligansmaui #buzzybooth

Luau was so fun. Really enjoyed myself. Small, intimate, luau which was nice. We didn't get the VIP tickets, but the lines moved quickly and you still get a lei. VIP gets a lei with 3 flowers on it. Not too crowded and the servers paid attention to you. Had to wait 5-10 mins for a drink, so order the next one before you're done.

Drinks were strong on the first one and progressively got weaker. My 3rd drink tasted like no alcohol at all, just juice.

Blue Hawaiian was so good!!!! Gilligan's, was ok. POG driver was amazing.

Food needed a little help. The chicken was dry, but the pork was amazing. I'm not a vinergrette fan, but the pineapple vinergrette was soooo good! Oh and take the bigger plate, you will need it.

Music was good. Dancers were amazing. The fire guy was superb!

Overall, I totally recommend this luau, especially for a first timer.

We attended the Maui luau at Gilligan's, and had such a wonderful 👍 time! The food was delicious. The entertainment FIRST class! What a show! Even through the pain and heartache 😞 of what is going on here right now! Just beautiful ❤. We want to give a warm shout out to the local artist Jeff who jumped right in to help us out with an Uber to get home, versus the city bus. And thanks to Randall, the Uber driver for getting us back to the hotel safe and sound!

Absolutely beautiful scenery overlooking the ocean, island, and gorgeous golf course. I went to the luau. Loved to watch the sunset with some great entertainment. The food and refreshments are what you expect from a buffet.

We did the luau experience, it was a lot of fun. The location was wonderful, and it overlooked the golf course. It's a smaller place which made the experience that much better. My kids were immersed and enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish. The performers were awesome and engaging. The emcee and singer made the whole thing. The food and drinks were plentiful.

My wife and I have been to a few different luaus. After reading mixed reviews online we decided to give it a try because the price was really good and it was 7 minutes from where we stayed. I'm glad we did! The food was amazing, service was great, and the show was awesome! They had the crowd get involved and the atmosphere of the whole show was great. Highly recommend the Luau. Well worth it! 10/10

Phenomenal show, fabulous performers, and the food left me wishing I had an extra stomach. Go for the cheaper tickets, as we did; the more expensive seats put guests in a large communal table that's too close to the show so you won't be able to really see all the performers.

Did a Luau here, was a lot of fun! The staff is fantastic, the food was good, especially the pork. Great sunset views as well

What an amazing luau experience! Perfect intimate atmosphere, fantastic food, and a mesmerizing show! Great job!

Last Sunday getting ready for a round of golf we found this little hidden gem. We hit the grand opening and it was definitely grand. Chicken and waffles Bloody Marys (multiple) and football at at 0800(almost missed our tee time). Luckily for us Gilligans is on the course we were playing. We came back after our round and were greeted by friendly and energetic staff. The Beer battered mozzarella sticks were amazing and had to be some of the coldest beer I’ve had in a while. We will be back before we fly home on Friday (Thursday night football maybe). Just one more big “thank you “to the super friendly staff that are truly there to make your experience memorable.
