I really enjoyed this dinner when we visited town. We started with the mozzarella sticks…definitely one of the best I’ve had. The marinara has a little spicy kick which I loved. I had the key lime martini…enjoyed that too I had to get another. My food was really good! I got a burger, but changed a couple things around, which wasn’t a problem. I appreciated that. My husband and dad both enjoyed their food even though I don’t remember what they got. The kids got the mac and cheese…one really liked it, one did not. I didn’t realize it was made with beer cheese….not a fan personally.

Service was really good. I believe our waiter was Alexander (?). He was really helpful with food and beer selection. We’ve brought samples of beer. Service was quick…zero complaints.

Atmosphere was awesome. I could see it being a lot of fun on a day where the weather is better with the back windows open and live music. If we come into town again I would definitely go back.

We went on steak night and the steak was cooked too perfection and was delicious. The brussel sprouts with bacon jam were so good too. The waiter took excellent care of us and I'll be back.

I will most definitely be back once I visit the area again! The Loaded Bar Chips were divine! The Reuben and the Sweet Potato Fries were incredible. The service was top notch too. Highly recommend!

It stays busy so be prepared for a wait but it's fantastic and worth that wait. You can easily grab a drink and play a couple rounds of pinball or foosball while you wait.

The drinks are top notch, the beers are delicious and the food is phenomenal!

The bartenders are amazing and you'll easily feel like you're friends.

For two of us to eat, with an appetizer and two drinks a piece, plus a take home meal it was about $100, so the price point isn't bad for the quality and service you get.

Some of the best food in Huntsville. The bbq burger is super flavorful and the fries are good too. The only issue I have is the noise in the restaurant. They have an AC (at least I think it’s an AC, it is some type of large vent I think) that clicks a lot. Other than that, this place is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who wants to burger.

This was our first time here. Several friends have been saying we needed to check it out. We decided to get out today for lunch/dinner and drinks. Old Black Bear was a absolute delight and we will be going back. If you haven’t been here yet I would suggest going. Outside is Pet Friendly, good seating both indoors and outside. They have live music starting at 6pm. Many daily specials and we will be going back for the Sunday Brunch and checking out the bottomless Mimosas for sure. The atmosphere is super chill and the wait staff make it even better. Quick service, friendly, great suggestions on what’s good and they make you feel at home. Jason A was a super great server. Very pleased with the service that he gave us. OBB is kid friendly also. We will be going back for sure and might even make this a monthly stopping spot. Go check it out if you haven’t and see the daily specials. I still want to check out this 16oz steak that Jason was telling us about on Monday nights.

Great service, great beer, good food! More inviting in warmer weather. the outdoor area has tons of space for groups of all sizes, furry friends included.

OBB has great food, beer, and cocktails! My latest experience was eating brunch. I had the Fried Chicken Benny and a Blood Orange Mule. My friend had an omelet and a Chocolate Espresso Martini. All the food was great. I also LOVE their pimento cheese. If I go for lunch I have to get it, either as an appetizer or on the burger. Yummy!

We had some incredible food at this quaint, old school joint. The atmosphere is so casual and laid back you wouldn’t imagine the food tastes so good!

We started out with fried pimento cheese balls and they were straight FIRE!! There was a drizzle of sauce on these and they melted in your mouth.

I had the It’s the Jam burger with pepper jam, peanut butter, and bacon and it was exceptional. The thin layer of peanut butter paired well with the meat and the sweetness of the jam.

I also had the pepper jam Brussels sprouts which were very good as well. The service was fast and friendly as well.

An amazing brew pub with a fantastic menu. Casual and comfortable, the bartenders and staff are simply the best.

21 Aug 23: made it back for another steak, this time with out of town friends. They followed our recommendation for the steak and were equally impressed and complimentary about the food. Everything was perfect! Jason took extra good care of us again this evening. Thanks Jason for a great job and thank you Old Black Bear for a truly delicious meal!

May 23: Went here this evening expecting to get our usual terrific, brewhouse burgers however--surprise, it was steak night!! My wife had her burger and I went with the hand cut, 16 oz ribeye. All I can say is--wow! That was by far the best steak I've had in a LONG time! I've almost gotten to the point of not getting steak at a restaurant as it is never what we cook at home. Tonight's steak was absolutely spot on. Cooked to perfection and the flavoring was divine. The garlic mashed potatoes and the beer cheese covered broccoli were the perfect complement.

Our server, Jason A. was terrific. Very knowledgeable on the menu and just a great personality. We will ask for him again for sure.

Really great stop here for a weekend lunch. Great beer options, plentiful burger options and creative dishes including vegetarian dishes. Patio seating and fun indoor vibe.

Delicious food! Steak nights on Monday absolutely recommend! Staff is super friendly as well and will make you feel at home! A must go place if you are in the area, hungry and or thirsty!! YaY!

In a nice historic style downtown area. Ample seating inside and out. Bar tender was very helpful with their menu and with other places in Huntsville to visit. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the beers. The Above Ground Pool was delicious, and I'm not a pilsner guy. Would definitely make it a stop if you're in the area. First time for Chicken and waffles, very tasty.

Super impressed with the texture and appearance of the sunny side up egg! It wasn't overly runny, a perfect gooey center with crisp egg white edges. The jalapeño cheese grits were to die for. Everything at our table was a hit. Highly recommend this spot for brunch!

Our favorite hangout spot in Huntsville AL! We were a loyal customer. Loved the people, the food, and the beer! Trick is to go early before the kitchen gets backed up and to get the “smash pattys” for the burgers.

The fried catfish was delicious! My wife had the grilled pimento cheese sandwich. It was just ok. I tried it but didn’t like the texture of it. The place itself has a great atmosphere and good service! We’ll definitely return to try other menu items.

This is our favorite neighborhood spot. We feel so spoiled to have such a great place right around the corner from us. The food and service are top notch. Their drinks always hit the spot, and I love their creativity. The servers are always so friendly. They really make you feel at home. Anna is the sweetest! She is so on top of things and takes great care of us every time we are in. They are lucky to have her. This is our go to spot in the Huntsville area for a chill night out with good food / drinks / atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking the place out. You won't be disappointed!
