Dr. Tran is a very caring doctor with a great since of humor and wonderful bedside manor. He has helped me with this annoying cough I’ve had for the past 3 yrs. Very pleased. I wish he was a primary doctor so I could see him regularly for all my health care needs. Thanks for everything, I am happy I was referred to you.

Dr. Tran is excellent! I've been extremely happy with his attention to detail, information given during visits, and care received.

Dr. Tran performed surgery on cysts I had in my head - he explained everything in detail before and during the procedure, and his follow-up was above and beyond, as I had lots of questions throughout.

I've read through other reviews that talk about wait times. I used to work in a medical office and I can tell you that is in no way related to the Doctor. Think about it - a patient shows up 15min late, then say the appointment runs another 15min late due to questions/new things brought to the doctor's attention - then he has to get his notes in order and review the next patient's chart before seeing them. That culminates into a good 40min of wait for the next patient. If there's 2-3 of those early in the day, it just snowballs. The scheduling staff can only do so much to factor this in. It's a balance between quality of care and seeing impatient patients who want to be seen immediately. You've got to remember, he's a specialist.

The longest I've ever had to wait was about 30min. I've waited in an ER lobby for over 6 hours before. Everything is relative. Dr. Tran is awesome!

Dr. Tran takes special care of each of his patients, treating each one with great consideration. If you have to wait, it is only because he is caring about another patient. I prefer that over a rushed doctor with no concern, any day! He has treated my husband and done surgery for his scarred sinuses and deviated septum, and he has treated me for removal of deeply embedded cysts.

I lived in PCB years ago and began to have vertigo, I was referred to Dr Tran and he did a procedure that actually made the vertigo go away, It did take 2 treatments to work permanently, But well worth the time, expense and Dr Tran is highly recommended in my book!

Extremely competent and very caring doctor! He took care of my tear sac infections and my husband’s Meniere’s disease (malignant vertigo)! I highly recommend Dr Tran for any ENT issues.

Dr. Tran is a world class physician in a small
town. How lucky we are to have him here.

Maybe a good doctor but tough to schedule an appointment over the phone. MUST give insurance info over the phone prior to making an appointment for a patient that has been there before. Bet they will want to see it again and make copies when we show up too.

Dr. Tran is very knowledgeable in the field, and is great with his patients. Unfortunately, the administrative side of his practice needs some adjustment. Each time I've been to Dr. Tran's office, the wait time has been incredibly long (1.5 - 2 hours)... Patients are booked so close together that there is no way for Dr. Tran to see everyone in the time allotted. Granted, Dr. Tran does spend about 20 - 25 minutes during each appointment shooting the breeze with his patients, which is half the problem. FOR DR. TRAN: Please do not schedule patients so close together, and I will not have a problem with going to your practice. Unfortunately, at this time I will be seeking treatment elsewhere.

If you look around at different places, you will see his review is generally around three stars. He earned this rating. I have been to him for surgery and needed it redone. He might’ve been good a while back but he’s not so good now save your time find someone else.

Dr. Tran? Not even sure if he exists. Haven’t seen him a single time after 3 visits. They will schedule visit after visit after visit to milk patients as much as possible. I still didn’t feel the urge to write a review until they had sent me to another location to do an audio and visual test for my very serious vertigo episodes. At this point I’ve spend $80x2 for 2 appointments for them to send me to get tests (for $300) then a follow up appointment to “review my test results” so I walk in for my “appointment” and she handed me my results from the testing center, then sends me on my way without even discussing a single detail of the results with me. I asked “do I have to pay for this visit” and was ready to pay even though I had been there for under 5 minutes and we didn’t even enter so much as a room to discuss my results. In and out in maybe 1 or 2 minutes. They said I don’t owe anything which I then replied “are you sure” to, and they said yes. I thought it made sense since it could hardly be called a visit. Weeks had gone by and they send me a bill in the mail for $80. I call to ask what it’s for and it was for the visit that they had told me I owed no money at. I tried to get ahold of an office manager and they wouldn’t let me through, I had told the person I spoke with that if they were going to make me pay that bill, I would never be returning again, BUT, told them I would pay it. They put me on hold then hung up the phone. You’re lucky if they even pick up in the first place. Then they sent another bill in the mail and it’s now $84. Then I get a letter from a collections agency for the amount. So basically they said I didn’t owe anything in person because they knew the appointment hardly even happened (after already having 2 previous full price visits with nothing being accomplished) and they back stab me with a bill in the mail. AVOID this place if possible. You will never see a doctor, only a PA. They will have you at 2 or 3 visits without even so much as a proper diagnosis, and they will milk every penny they can out of you. I was very disappointed as I had heard Dr. Tran himself was very good back in the day. I will now be reaching out to collections to pay them money without receiving a service. Place genuinely seems like a scam to me. I hope they can turn it around there and find their integrity again.

Doctors throughout my life have been concerned about the amount of ear infections I get per year and the severe pain & vertigo I experience so they referred me to Dr. Tran. I was told that all of my issues are due to "morbid obesity" (absolutely untrue) and that I have likely not had many ear infections in my life because doctors are quick to diagnose them without the patient truly having them. Boy, I cannot wait to report all of this back to my doctors and see their reactions despite my lengthy history of ear troubles! Ear dysfunctions run in my family and most of my family members have tubes in their ears to get relief from fluid buildup. I was also told that I have TMJ, but I have been to TMJ specialists (to rule this out beforehand) who have told me I didn't have TMJ. He says they don't know what they're talking about either. Lastly, he said that my depression medication is creating all kinds of horrible symptoms for me (untrue, it has literally saved my life) and that most of them do, so take care of this so called "morbid obesity" issue and it will "solve most of my problems". I am 5'8 and he says that I should be no more than 150 pounds which is outrageous. I have never heard of such thing in my life from any professional about my weight/height ratio. It was incredibly insulting. He wasn't even going to look in my ears - I had to ask him to do so. Did not check out my throat or nose either despite me marking "sinus/nose/throat" issues as well on my paperwork. I was charged $175 for this experience including him talking about how Americans eat so much junk food compared to where he comes from in Vietnam and other absurd irrelevancies. This was very disappointing for me and I had a witness along who also couldn't believe what was said. I've had family use Tran in the past with no issues, but they were elderly. I absolutely will never return to this place again.

I am an existing patient of Dr. Tran and even had surgery done by him a few years ago.
He is a,wonderful, caring Dr but his staff is another story.
I mentioned my recent ear problems to another Dr. I see and he told me to get in to see my ENT Dr asap. I'm having extreme pain, high pitched noises and can hardly hear in one ear.
I called, explained that I was an existing patient, told them my syptoms and that my other Dr said to see Dr Tran asap. They made an app for me with Dr Tran for 6/6. I even confirmed back that on 6/6 my apt is with Dr Tran at such and such time, they said yes.
When they called to confirm, it was with a PA. I was upset because I specifically requested Dr Tran, was an existing patient and suspect I have a serious ear issue.
The very rude staff member, hung up on me because I was upset. I called back, and she said that she would not talk to me and that she cancelled my appointment, so now I have no appointment, than she hung up on me again! When I called back again, she turned on the answering service.
I was refused medical care, refused an appointment with my existing Dr, and hung up on twice! What is going on? Do we no longer have a choice as to who we see for what is probably a very serious ear condition? If I could reach Dr Tran I know he would fix this, but I can't get to him!
Unfortunately this staff member has caused some liability issues for the Dr, especially if I completely lose my hearing, or have something more serious like a tumor.
The lack of concern and care by the staff is repulsive and not acceptable by any means.

My primary doctor in Nashville told me to see a ENT doctor. We lived in Nashville for 21 years & I realize I am spoiled by the best! But how absolutely inappropriate to leave a potential patient waiting on the phone for 6 minutes! All I said was, “I’d like to make an appointment to see Dr. Tran.” I got a: “Hold on, please” 6 minutes later I am still holding? I think I understand the poor ratings. I am a retired Oncology RN of 25 years & I have also worked in a doctor’s office. If a receptionist will leave me waiting over 6 minutes to just make an appointment, then how long will I be expected to wait to see the doctor? Now I know why everyone here says “Go to Dothan to see a doctor!” The “you can wait because only MY time is valuable” small town thinking is not for me! Idk. But I’m moving on. NO THANKS!

I only gave him one star because I can not give a review if I don't give at least one star. First appointment to see Dr Tran I never saw him. It was a woman and she was a nurse. She had no clue what I was talking about. Second visit I saw Dr. Tran long enough that he decided at 60 I needed tube for the first time in my life. Several thousand dollars later. No change. After surgery I saw the nurse again and I tried to explain that I had stents in my ears and wondered if they could be plugged up. She had no clue where they would even put Stent in my ears. I just gave up. These people have no clue.

I was hoping he could help me but several things were questionable. I understand ENT are expensive but he's not very thorough. First visit, paid $146(new patient cost) for 40 mins and referred me to an audiologist due to my vertigo. Within that appointment, I had a hearing test. Audiologist appointment went well (inner ear is good) and referred me back to Dr.Tran to have a sinus X-ray.

This is what got me upset was the second appt, I waited 1 hour for a 20 min service. Paid $108 (2nd Visit), on top of that $75 or so for the hearing test on the previous appt.
Called the Staff about it and told me they didn't know what extra service I would have for my first time. (Understandable)But second appt almost $200, he only checked up my nose and ears again. He also couldn't do my sinus X-ray because he said my insurance needs more information about my symptoms????The first initial consultation I told him all my symptoms, I also told him the same thing on the second. So I basically took work off for not even a half hour for him to look up my nose and look into my ears again.

Everything you can solve in 1 Visit he breaks it up in 100 visits. ($$$$)

Very disappointed. Please don't waste your time.
