Me and a couple of my grandsons had lunch here today!
It’s a small place but has plenty of room.
Has that café diner feeling.
Everyone was friendly.

Our waitress was very friendly and took care of us right away.

I had The Chicken Fried Steak & 2 eggs with Hash Browns, and the best buttery Biscuits.

My middle grandson had The Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich with Fries! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Really Good!

My youngest Grandson had The 8 oz Bill's Big Texas Burger w/Fries.
Burger was flavorful and cooked just right.

All was good and we enjoyed it.

So many things to choose from. I want to try so many different things!

We will be back.

Bill’s is so delicious, affordable and cool that I almost didn’t want to leave this review because it’s Temple’s best kept secret. I’ve tried many local restaurants in town and Bill’s food quality surpasses them in burger, fry and breakfast categories. This patty melt nearly brought me to tears. It’s like a mother’s grilled cheese meets dad’s backyard burgers! (Note: I’m not a fan of onions, those were not included here) The fries are hot and fresh, not over salted and the sweet tea actually tastes sweet! I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

Very old time feel, classic home style food. The service was over excellent, coming from Houston you don't find many gems like this anymore. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

Bill's has a very old school feel to it. I've loved coming here for years, every time I'm in temple. The people work hard but have fun and make you feel like a local even if it's your first time. Could not recommend more if you like good food and an even better atmosphere, and a good price to top it off.

Our waitress Jessica was absolutely amazing. She was working multiple tables, but your cup never went empty, nor did you need to ask for anything. This is a diner, so the food is great. I got the 2 eggs breakfast with bacon, hash browns, and toast. My husband got the 10oz ribeye and eggs, That was the most tender and seasoned steak. It beats a lot of steak houses.

We had breakfast. From the coffee to the last bite of food, Everything we got was great. It was delicious home cookin food. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Prices were easy on the wallet. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

JAN 2021 Update: Don't pay attention to the 2 bad reviews (one person only gives 1 star reviews with constant complaining... And the other, only has two 1 star reviews on their google profile!) lol

We look forward to eating here when in Temple. It's worth it!

I just found a new place to eat!

10oz ribeye & eggs for $12.99 AND cooked and seasoned perfectly? Yes ma'am! My friend had the chicken fried steak and it tasted good (and I don't like chicken fried steak!) It was fresh and not that preformed stuff some places serve.

HOW MUCH? Less than $22.50 AFTER taxes. The service was great and the atmosphere is like an old time greasy spoon diner, which kinda hinted to me that the food was going to be good.

A shout out to Larry the cook, AKA the grill master, great steak, thanks!

Bills is a GREAT mom & pop type place.
They are here to serve you a large good meal and make a living not a killing.
The menu is down home comfort foods.
And it's ALL DELICIOUS.

I will keep on eating at Bill's when I visit the VA in temple.

Bill's is an excellent grill with that old-time atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. It's right across the street from the VA, so the crowd is mostly veterans. All around, it's a great bunch of people.

Great local breakfast spot!

My friend Morris and I went in and had scrambled eggs, w/ hashbrowns, biscuits & gravy, and toast. It was hands down delicious and it hit every taste bud on my tongue you could think of this place is also good for a cup of coffee if you're not hungry. I also like how they have their seats setup @ their breakfast bar.

Best frozen mango margarita and burgers! I tried to be good and had grilled chicken salad but fried pickles as appetizer🤣🤣

Great customer service. Very friendly place. Nicely priced. Simple order. Loaded Baked Potato, no bacon. Coffee. 😋

Regularly checked in on our table. Not too busy. Alot of tables were full, however they never shorted you on service! ☺

Due to dietary restrictions, not a whole lot I can order from the menu; glad they had bakers! It's a been a while. 😋

Great service especially since they only had 1 waitress, she did such a great job you wouldn't have known they were short handed. Food was good and the cook knows what an over medium egg is.

I had the 3 meat omelet which came with biscuits and hashbrowns. The omelet was meaty and delicious! The biscuits were the best I've had in a long time! They were moist, yet crispy on the inside. I never had anything like it. Give this place a try. I am definitely going back to try their lunch and dinner items next.

This is a friendly place with great food. Prices are very pleasing as well as atmosphere.

Good food the old grill adds spunk to your meal and brings back good old memories and the last cooking sure knows how to use it

Been going to this restaurant every since I was a kid. I really miss it being open 24 hours. The food is great! The staff is great! The owners are pretty cool. Just an overall good place.

The food is good.
It's what you would expect, from a Dinner.
It's small, But the atmosphere is very comfortable.
The service there, It's friendly, And assisting. ( If you need it.)
It's kind of a place where veterans go,
After they've left the VA, ( Due to the hospital being right across the street.)
But you will also find regular folks there too.
All in all. It's just a good place to eat.
