Gem of a diner! Visited CDA during the 4th of July and got to see the parade right in front of Jimmy's. As such, the restaurant was busy but my family of 6 was able to be seated quickly. We saw the huge pecan roll being served to someone and had to get one for us! It didn't last long and I didn't think my kids even liked pecans. Literally everything we ordered was incredible. I've been to places that serve large portions but the quality is lacking. Not here! I had the Crab Cake Benedict. I admit I don't have a lot of experience with crab cakes coming from Utah but this flavor combination was delicious. Eggs were perfectly poached, sauce was flavorful, and the hash browns were done perfectly and not greasy. Other dishes included the Big Texan, an omelet, and the 4th of July Blueberry Pancakes. Everything I sampled(Dad tax 😁) was superb and everyone had leftovers to take home. The atmosphere was great, including some "banger" oldies song selections, as my kids described it. You can tell Jimmy is a true patriot and takes pride in the product he and his family serves.

This busy but fun little restaurant was on our visit list on a recent trip to Idaho. The waitress was an excellent server and made sure that our coffee was kept full. We came in for breakfast and had the Down the Street Scramble and the Pecan Roll. The scramble was very good and made for a hearty breakfast. Of course, we came for the Pecan Roll based on its reputation from DDD. And to be honest it was just okay for me. To be fair it was late in the breakfast service so maybe it just wasn't as fresh... but I ended up wishing I had ordered the Cinnamon Roll instead as it was just a little dry. The portions are very generous and there were a ton of really awesome breakfasts listed making me regret that I didn't live closer. All in all, it was a good experience and next time we come back I will try the Giant Cinnamon Roll. Also, this place is popular.... so show up expecting a wait, especially on the weekend... it is worth the wait, but we saw some people that seemed to be a little irritated that they couldn't come right in. Good things come to those who wait.

This is the REAL America in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, Idaho! Seriously, you can't get a more down to earth, delicious comfort food meal like this many places in the USA. The restaurant exudes America. Flags everywhere including sticking out of your meal. The ceiling even has a stylized flag on painted on it. The atmosphere is true diner. The service is just really friendly and the food is over the top. I had a Country Eggs Benedict which is...two oversized homemade biscuits, topped with two sausage patties with two eggs and covered in sausage gravy. Wow! It's not just a mound of food either. The flavors are perfect. Nothing is over or under cooked and the entire meal is special and well worth the trip. If you are anywhere near Jimmy's do yourself a favor and drop by for some goodies.I have eaten too many places that were easy to forget so it's always a pleasure to have a meal to write home about.

Jimmy’s Down The Street is a must-visit!

The service was excellent and super friendly, capturing the perfect hometown breakfast joint vibe. The food was absolutely amazing.

I had the stuffed hashbrowns and they were incredible. My wife loved the biscuits and gravy, calling them the best she’s ever had. I wish I could share a photo, but we enjoyed it too quickly!

We came back a second time and I remembered photos today. Wow!

Best breakfast in upstate Idaho! After having hotel and supermarket breakfasts for days, arriving here was a massive improvement. We ordered two All-American Breakfasts which had perfectly done eggs, crispy hash browns, sourdough toast, plenty of gravy and butter, and a giant biscuit. BEWARE!! THE PORTIONS ARE ENORMOUS!! The pancakes were ginormous and the Country Benedict was the best I've ever had. Highly recommend the Caramel Pecan Roll as well, which was cooked to perfection. The service was great too, super attentive and happy with providing whatever we needed. Bustling atmosphere, lively atmosphere, clearly a favorite to many in the Coer d'alene area.

My 3 friends and I enjoyed a late breakfast at Jimmy's. I had a "Down The Street Scramble" and it was delicious! Very good coffee as well. Huge portions, a retro-diner atmosphere, and an excellent staff made for a good time. I'll be back for sure. As we were leaving they brought out some fresh pecan rolls that were ENORMOUS... it would take 3 or 4 people to eat one, or you could have it to go and make it breakfast for a few days. Thumbs up!

I just wanted a really great waffle and Jimmy's delivered. 😊 I enjoyed my food and time spent there. My teen son absolutely raved about their biscuits because they were tasty and the size of hand. He couldn't believe it! He can't wait to go back.

I don't normally write a review after one visit, but I'm making an exception for Jimmy's! Service was fantastic - my coffee cup was never empty, the staff friendly and food was fantastic! I ordered the Irish Benedict -AMAZING! I saw their famous Pecan Roll and they're HUGE! Seriously, probably could be split amongst four people - and since it was just me today, I figured that would be a good reason to come back with friends!

I came here because Jimmy's were featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. It did not disappoint. I had a 15-minute wait but that gave me time to take in the decor. I ordered the giant pecan roll to go and I had the Irish Benedict. A jalapeno cornbread piled with in-house made cornbeef and two over easy eggs with hollandaise sauce. I loved it all, and I will be back!

I have breakfast here at Jimmy’s as often as possible. The food is consistently delicious. The atmosphere is retro, patriotic and cheerful.

This morning, Nicole took great care of our party of four. As usual this diner was very busy. Nonetheless, and as always, Nicole took great care of us in every respect. Coffee and beverages were topped off as needed and Nicole delivered our meals promptly and ensured they were correct. She is a wonderful person and fun to talk to.

The All American Breakfast was prepared perfectly: Crisp bacon, over easy eggs cooked just right, hash browns and colossal biscuits were excellent. The veggie omelette with mozzarella cheese was just delicious. It truly doesn’t need meat, and the veggies were fresh. My stack of 3 pancakes could have fed several people. 8 or 9 inches in diameter and more than half an inch thick, these monsters were very tasty and filling. All in all, a perfect Saturday morning.

Absolutely phenomenal! The caramel pecan sticky bun was spectacular: soft, sweet but not too sweet, rich…good grief. It’s perfect! We got the corned beef hash (tasty), and the jimmy’s omelette (delicious with a good amount of hollandaise). The waiters were awesome! And service was fast. We will absolutely be back soon!

Jimmy's is one of our favorite restaurants for breakfast. The waitresses are friendly and efficient, the food is delicious and portions are huge - just don't forget to ask for ketchup if you need it, hot sauce is already on the table. Love taking out-of-town guests here too!

What a great place! Our party of six split the cinnamon roll and it was delicious! Sharon, our server was excellent as was the food!
Stuffed hash browns, YUM, Irish Benedict, EXCELLENT. If you’re in CDA, don’t miss having a meal here. (We are visiting from Sonoma County) thank you for your hospitality.

The grits were worthy of the owners' southern roots. Both the cinnamon and pecan rolls are not only generous portions but delicious, not obnoxiously sweet. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were top-notch. This place has a welcoming personality with plenty of character.

Cool diner in CDA. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was laid-back, comfortable and friendly. I liked that the owners were out mixing it up with the customers too. Really good home-made corn beef hash, and potatoes.
