Amazing beach for families. Many kids are boogie boarding and we had lots of fun hanging out on the beach. Hard to find parking though, so the best way is to walk somewhere and walk here.

Good for swimming. Relaxed beach vibe. Outdoor showers to wash up before you leave.
Perfect to sit and watch the sunset with a glass of wine too. Small rocky areas for kids to climb on.

A massive Green Turtle leisurely swam past us as we bobbed around in the afternoon surf!! Approx 3pm high tide.

This beach is just metres from our apartment and while we explored the WHOLE island. We decided this was the best beach for easy snorkelling, safe swimming, guaranteed turtles (4 of them, and saw them each time we went for a dip!!) And lots of lovely fish!

Charley Young Beach is absolute money! We arrived relatively early (maybe 8am?) and were able to get a prime spot on the beach. We figured we would just enjoy a nice swim and some time on the beach in the sun, but that's when a lovely couple approached us offering their snorkel gear as they were heading home and didn't have room in their luggage!
This opened up an entirely new world, we were swimming away not realizing how many sea turtles were floating literally a few feet away from us. You absolutely need to rent some snorkel gear to truly appreciate this beach. I saw dozens of turtles, countless species of fish and my wife was lucky enough to see a puffer fish!
Especially if you have gone up the road to visit the Maui Ocean Centre, being able to see that and the very same creatures in their natural habitat is truly special to see.

Awesome beach with rock-free buttery sand for skim boarding, wave jumping, and floating with a nearby rock outcropping that provides a small reef for snorkeling. If you keep an eye on the horizon during calving season, you can see whales breeching just off shore. A turtle decided to nap on the beach one day, so I did as the locals do and napped too.

Our favorite beach by a huge margin. Better than anything on Lahaina side. Clear water, great sand, excellent for swimming.

My favourite Maui beach, and right near our condo so an easy walk. Shallow with easy waves usually. Some lava rock jut outs at the end of the beach provide a good snorkelling area. Oh, and BEAUTIFUL sunsets from this beach.

Love love love this beach. Always good for a sunset. And always see turtles swim by me when standing in the ocean to cool off.

I recently vacationed in Maui and this beach was across the street from the condo. Absolutely beautiful beach that was never too crowded and I enjoyed talking to locals and tourists. Sunsets were awesome as well. I enjoyed this beach every day on my vacation.

Wonderful beach 💚💙🌴 we stayed at Maui vista condos across the street and it was a super short walk to this wonderful beach. Nice little rinse/shower station at the top of the stairs. Usually looked like there was parking available in the lot there. Not very crowded when we were there.

An amazing beach across from Worldmark, Kihei and the one that we have been visiting for the last 10 days. Easy access up and down the beach with multiple paths from the street. Wonderful sand and a great walking beach with the waves ranging from very mellow to some serious surf (enough so for the lifeguards to post additional warnings along the beach when they deem the surf to be more dangerous). Sunsets from here are magnificent and the beach draws the tourists from a number of the resorts every evening (6:00 pm in the middle of January) for pictures and pure enjoyment of what Mother Nature has to offer. We spent one entire day on the beach, having rented chairs, umbrella & cooler and throughly enjoyed our selves.

This was our absolute FAVORITE beach during our trip. It wasn't the most beautiful, but what beach in Hawaii ISN'T beautiful, am I right? However, from a family perspective this was perfect. I had a teenager, an elementary schooler and a toddler that needed to be satisfied on beach day. This was the clear overall winner. We had early morning walks and late night strolls here. It was within walking distance from our place so that helped. Looking back, my favorite part of the day was heading over to this beach.

We have been in Maui for a week and this is the best beach so far that we have been to. Lots of space so we are not crowded on top of each other. Wind is not so crazy, but there are moments of gusts. Nice sand area for us all to share. It was exactly the beach you imagine when you come here.

We're on an island so everywhere is a beach unless you're in the mountains. This beach is easily accessible and is located near plenty of eateries, stores and gift shops.

Beautiful beach! Lots of rocks to snorkel and climb on, plenty of sand planned for the kids. Has showers, and parking is easily accessible!

Great beach right next to the Maui Vista and Pacific Shores condos! The waves are great and the beach is usually not too busy. There is a shower, lots of parking, and sand to set up chairs and umbrellas. I would recommend this beach to anyone in Kihei! Looking forward to visiting again!

Beautiful beach, soft sand. We enjoyed our time here even though there was a storm.
