Overall this medical office is amazing. I moved to Alabama from California, but I just love it here. If I were to compare this medical center to my California doctor, there is no comparison to how amazing this place truly is. Front desk was very nice and communicative. The assistant nurse was awesome, I felt she really listened to me and decided to do blood work rather than writing me off as depressed (which is what my other doctor in California had put me down as), she really made me feel better about my concerns and gave me relief to what I could be going through but to make sure, blood work would need to be done. I’m so grateful and happy that I will know, what going on with my body, good or bad. Thank you Avalon Family care!

I have been treated by Dr Finnila for years and have been treated well. I address my health issues and he always helps me to find a solution. He has helped me with my anxiety and depression, and years ago I had post partum depression. I have an auto immune disease and he referred me to a specialist. My skin has cleared up. If you have any skin problems i recommend asking to be referred to a dermatologist.
The staff is nice and they were very helpful the times I needed their help with questions and with pharmacy billing issues.

I am so impressed with Dr. Finnila and his staff. He diagnosed me with something in my labs and sent me to a specialist! Communication through the portal was great. The office staff and nurses were very professional and extremely nice. I recently saw a NP Pleasant. She was very thorough and ordered an Ultrasound for me. They really do care about their patients. Although you see the NP, Dr. Finnila came in afterwards to check on me since it had been a while since my last visit. He really does care. I highly recommend Avalon Family Care!

I absolutely loved my visit at Avalon Family Care. My family has been in need of a good family doctor for quite some time and this office fits the bill perfectly. The staff is friendly and explained all the procedures and costs (we signed up for the medical plan offered by Avalon), the doctor was knowledgeable, and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns about both of my daughters. I did not feel rushed or belittled. The office is beautifully decorated, clean, and quiet. I highly recommend this practice!

Easy and convenient Patient Portal to communicate results of tests performed. I am glad that I decided to establish my Primary Care with Avalon Family Care. We just moved here to Madison in July, and I’ve been thoroughly researching different places through my Cigna app, to try and find the best family practice/doctor. I actually ended up resorting to social media, and asked on a madison Facebook group if there was any family practices/primary care places anyone recommended. Someone mentioned Avalon, so I googled and the 5 start rating really stuck out. Made an appointment and had my first visit today. I was VERY impressed with how professional and sweet the front desk ladies were, and how the NP Laura made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. She didn’t make me feel rushed, and was very patient with me getting all my family history and my medical history. I also got to meet Dr Finnila today, and he as well made me feel very welcomed and made sure to let me know after every appointment, he likes to come check in on his patients. I’m VERY pleased with this practice, and highly recommend this place.

Avalon is so polite, nice, and caring. They made me feel comfortable and were patient with my questions and health concerns. I love that they send you all your visit information via email and you can do all your blood work and obgyn right in the office.

Office is not full when I come to my appointments. Never have to wait long. Nurses & Receptionists are very nice. Dr. Z is very personable, I have a tendency to talk too much and he listens to my concerns and gives great feedback. I recommend this doctor to everyone.

Avalon Family Care offers the best care you can receive. The staff listens to you , you set a plan in place to work on your concern. They also have on-site blood draw for your convenience. They also use an app for all your appointments and health details! Great recommendation!
