I heard of this food truck via positive word of mouth. Jumped on good 'ol Yelp and saw not many reviews being that they were so new. One selection caught my eye and I was intent on trying it.

LOCATION:
Currently, the truck is parked in the Lowe's Kahului parking lot at the east end. They're open daily from 10a - 7p. It doesn't look like they're moving anytime soon as the address was printed on the menu (214 Hookele St.). I reported the address to Yelp but it wasn't accepted. I tried!

MENU:
Tlacoyos, sopes, tacos, burritos, tortas, tostadas, quesadillas and soft drinks.

FOOD:
Al Pastor Quesadilla - $10.00
Going only by instinct, I was hoping this would be good. Pinch me, as I thought I was back in Puerto Vallarta and ordered from a street stand. It was that good and authentic! A large flour tortilla was quartered and filled with gooey cheese and tender pork finished in an insanely flavorful sauce. Yes! Fresh guac and sour cream came to the side. I have a good appetite and barely finished it. Highly recommended!

SERVICE:
The sole woman taking orders and cooking was welcoming and friendly. Just one person was ahead of me so total time spent here was 10 minutes tops, regardless of the made-to-order freshness.

OVERALL:
Great homemade flavors and prices. If you know me, you know that food trucks aren't my forte, but a handful of them are. This is one of them!

Wow! You need to try this place, it is definitely in my top 5 taco trucks of all time. Tacos, Sopes, and the nachos were all amazing.

Authenticity to the max. Street tacos are delicious, green sauce is a ten. Will be coming back.

Had the delicious Mahi Mahi taco plate. It was incredible. The rice & beans are not to be missed - no idea how they get their rice that perfect, wish I knew the secret.

The food is great! The Al Pastor Burrito and Birria Burritos are 🔥. Both meats are so good. Their salsas are good as well, the red salsa reminds me of the red salsa from the King Taco chain in L.A..

This food truck is a bit out of the way from all of the other food trucks that seem to be clustered around the island. It's located in the Lowes parking lot right now with no seating other than your car so be ready for that or to just grab and go. Burritos on the beach?! I think yes!
This is some real authentic Mexican food. Not that anglicanized mess we see everywhere. I got the AL Pastor Guarache. If you don't know what a Guarache is, here is what Wikipedia has to say: Huarache is a popular Mexican dish consisting of masa dough with smashed pinto beans placed in the center before it is given an oblong shape, fried, topped with green or red salsa, onions, potato, cilantro and any manner of protein such as ground beef or tongue, then finished with queso fresco. Wikipedia Mine came with green salsa, shredded lettuce, sour cream and al pastor meat, and I inhaled it!
The rest of the family got burritos with the exception of my youngest who went with the nachos. The burrito people stated that "this is the best burrito I've ever had". And they ate it so fast that I didn't get a chance to try a bite! My nacho kid let me share, thankfully. And I think I can honestly say that these nachos are amazing. The chips are thing and crunchy and don't get soggy. I was so full after my guarache that I couldn't eat more than a few bites off of this nacho plate, and let me tell you, my heart was so sad because those nachos were delicious!
You might have to wait a tick to get your food, but that's because it's all super fresh and handmade (with love). So be patient because it's worth it.

Was hesitant at first due to the fact that it's parked in a home Depot location,this is a first for us. They did not disappoint. The torta bread was fresh, green salsa on point and the Birria tacos tasty af!

Where we live, in Pasco WA, we have dozens of taco trucks who make really great food. However, here on Maui, this is the first taco truck we have been too. I have to say, compared to the dozens of other taco trucks I have ate at, this is one of the best. The food was fresh, muy rico, y bueno.

I highly recommend the tostada ceviche and the tacos el pastor. Both full of flavor and fresh! Salsa verde was on point and their salsa roja had a nice smoky flavor to it.

Best tacos on the island my wife has lots of allergies and they made sure she could eat there if I could I would give 10 stars this truck rocks

Excellent Mexican food. They are in Lowe's parking lot. The Pork Carnitas Taco and Nachos were the best. Even had real Mexican Coke in the bottle made with cane sugar. Plan on sharing the nachos with a friend they are large.

If you want authentic Mexican food,this is the place.i moved here to Maui from the bay area and believe me this is the real deal.food seasoned to perfection;not too salty nor too bland, just perfect.a must have is the horchata; literally the best horchata I’ve had in Maui.this spot tops Fernando’s and amigos by miles.they also have a location in Kihei with more food options. 10/10

This is the best Mexican food on the island !! Always service with a smile! Wait times are not that long. It's our local go-to spot for fresh Mexican food ! Prices are comparable to the other food trucks on the island. Never disappoints !!

It is the best food truck on the island. Prices MORE THAN REASONABLE, you can get two super tasty fish tacos for 10$. Their homemade tamarind drink is amazing. So good!

We went at an off time and this place still had quite a few folks ordering! We got their carne asada taco plate and an al pastor burrito - both had wonderful flavor! We really loved the al pastor. The beans on the taco plate were also delicious. The service was very quick and kind, and there is ample parking. Definitely worth a stop!

Amazing food. We were returning from Haleakala and were looking for food options and luckily we found this. They had lot of veggie options as we are Vegetarian it was perfect. We ordered Veggie Burrito, tacos and cheese quesadilla. All items were fresh, nicely prepared. Burrito was so nicely done and packed. Kids loved the cheese quesadilla with guacamole and cream. We loved the food so much next day on our way to airport we packed so much food from here and enjoyed in flight. Thank you for amazing food. Far far better than some of chain restaurants.

A godsend for people that appreciate authentic Mexican food! Best Mexican restaurant on south side Maui! Generous portion size and beautifully prepared. Not expensive. This island desperately needs superior food at an affordable price.
