Joe's great food, great service, awesome atmosphere.Delicious stones, mahi, burger and key lime pie at a great price
I visited Joe's stone crabs for the Miami Spice Menu and I was very impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered the burger and the key lime pie, and both were excellent.
The burger was juicy and flavorful, with a generous amount of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The bun was soft and fresh, and the sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned well. The burger was huge, and I could not finish it.
The key lime pie was the perfect dessert to end the meal. It was tangy and sweet, with a smooth and creamy filling and a crunchy graham cracker crust. The whipped cream on top added a nice touch. The pie was also very big, and I had to take half of it home.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was casual. The Miami Spice Menu was a great deal, and I would come back to try more dishes. I highly recommend Joe's stone crabs for anyone looking for a satisfying and affordable meal.

Our first visit to Joe’s Stone Crab was outstanding, thanks to the Miami Spice menu and our fantastic server, Jorge. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, the stone crabs were fresh and delicious, and the salmon was perfectly cooked. The key lime pie was the best I’ve ever had—truly phenomenal. Jorge’s service was impeccable, making our experience even more memorable. A must-visit in Miami!

We visited Joe's after about 16 years and the quality and service is still TOP NOTCH! We were amazed at the standard and the level of service and courtesy --- very high! From the men at the door to the host to the wait staff. Everyone was polite and prompt. The place was almost filled at 6p.m. and we were seated quickly. Our server, George, was a true gentleman! He was both professional and highly knowledgeable about the menu, he was funny and personable too. Our food came fairly quickly and with every few bites, George was checking in. He made us feel like we were the only patrons and that elevated our experience. Our overall experience could not have been any better, George truly made a difference for us. What a memorable evening that was! Everything was amazing! If you have not yet checked out Joe's Stone Crab in South Beach, Miami, you should make it a MUST DO on your to-do list. The crabs are huge, meaty and sweet-- I never liked my seafood cold, but I ate that cold crab like it was a hot piece of chicken. Go to Joe's and ask for George, he will cater to you, which will make your dining experience more special. I hope the management knows of the value that George brings to the establishment. A gem!

A classic.
Food is amazing, we had the crabs, lobster tails (popcorn), Mac and cheese and hash browns. All delicious. Lime pie is amazing! Worth having it.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
It is a family friend place, not the Miami’s typical show off restaurant - here is good food, good service!

Good Food, Great service and good size restaurant. The actual stone crabs were unique tasting esp. with the mustard. Not like your typical crabs. They have 2 beautiful outdoor patios. Little on the pricey side, but not surprised for a seafood place.

I had to see what the buzz was all about, and Joe's did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the most friendly and respectful five-star service. The scallops I ordered melted in my mouth like butter. Although I had to return my first cocktail as I wasn't a fan of the Florida Orange Martini due to its strong bitters, the server promptly replaced it. The team resetting tables is incredibly efficient, managing to clear and set up for the next guests in less than two minutes—way to go, team! It's hard to find anything negative to say about a business that has been thriving since 1913; they clearly know what they’re doing.

One of the best restaurants in Miami. I usually go for their shrimp and crab rolls and crab claws, which are amazing, but I bumped into their pre-fixed Miami Spice menu during my last visit and it was off the charts good. Thanks to my server, Edith, I believe her name was and everyone else. This place knows how to treat the customer like a superstar. Thanks again! 🙏🏼

Wonderful place. Anytime I'm within 50 Mi of here I stopped in at Joe's. Nothing better than stone crab however their entire menu is excellent. Their service is even better. It seems like there's three employees for every one customer. I'm sure that's not actually true but that's the way it feels which is a good thing.

My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt a warm and inviting atmosphere. Even though there was a bit of a queue despite our reservation, it was clear from the outset that the wait would be worth it.

We were greeted by our server, who has been working at Joe’s for an impressive 27 years. His knowledge and passion for the restaurant were immediately evident. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. His recommendations and attentiveness significantly enhanced our dining experience.

We decided to start with the famous stone crab, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, it was a true highlight of our meal. Next, we tried the lobster tails, which were simply amazing. The flavor and texture were spot-on, making each bite a delight.

For dessert, we indulged in the lemon cheesecake. It was gorgeous and unique, a perfect balance of tart and sweet, and the ideal way to end our meal. Additionally, the bread basket, featuring a mix of various breads, was a delightful surprise. We loved each type and couldn’t resist eating it all.

Overall, our experience at Joe’s Stone Crab was exceptional. The combination of excellent service, outstanding food, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit. We can’t wait to return and enjoy another memorable meal.

It was a very upscale dinner! We had a fantastic time there. But be prepared for the payment. All the staff dressed very formally, and the floor was huge! We ordered a medium king crab to share with 2 people, and it was enough food. We had a fantastic seafood paella as well. Our favorite was a homemade piecunts pie and signature lime pie. Wort trying!

One of the top spots in Miami that I adore and highly recommend if you enjoy fantastic food and great hospitality! From the moment you step in until you bid farewell, it's an unforgettable experience. The stone crabs are a must, but honestly, everything on their menu is amazing. It's hard to believe I haven't revisited since before the pandemic 😦. I definitely need to change that soon!

Possibly my favorite restaurant ever and the first reservation I make when visiting Miami. From the moment you enter Joe’s, you can tell that you are in for an unforgettable time.

A classy old school dining room filled with tuxedo dressed waiters, paintings, photographs, and memorabilia referencing Joe’s storied past and century long history.

I’ve been four times and every single visit, the food and service has been the highest of quality. Every server I have is funny, kind, hospitable, and perfectly times when to bring out what.

Stone crabs are a must on your first visit but I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. Fried chicken is amazing (and an incredible value, as the half chicken is $9) as is the grilled tomatoes with cheese and conch fritter appetizers.

A visit is incomplete without trying their famous key-lime pie. I promise you will not regret dining here - no matter the party your with, occasion, or price range; you can have the perfect meal for it at Joe’s.

I don’t eat seafood, never ordered a seafood dish at a restaurant in my life, but decided to here with the stone crabs. These were unbelievably fresh and the mustard sauce is off the hook. Also, the bread at the beginning is addicting we went through 2 baskets. The bread pudding is probably the best I’ve ever had so far. Service here does not lack, wine is always filled up to the brim, informative, and a great personality, I recommend asking for Matt!

Amazing seafood and delicious dessert. Try the apple pie, its house made, and add that ice cream for a lingering taste. Our server was a wonderful italian guy. One of a kind. We appreciate him serving us. We will be back!!

Everything about this restaurant feels like a movie! Reminds me of “Beverly Hills Cop”. From the ambiance, to the stylish servers, to the delicious food. Joe’s Stone Crab really outdid themselves!

We walked in early with an appointment and had 0 wait time. We were served by Alex who was absolutely phenomenal. Alex made sure we enjoyed ourselves, the food, and even keeping great conversation.

We each ordered the Seafood Trio which was absolutely delicious by itself and the sauces were just icing on the cake! Tasty! We also had the hashbrowns (thank you for recommending it Alex) and they were hands down the BEST hashbrowns we’ve ever tasted! The Lobster Mac & Cheese did surprise us a bit as we didn’t get the flavor we were expecting with how good it looked, but could be attributed to just that day. The fried chicken I ordered to go was delicious!

Overall everything about this place was very great and welcoming, making us feel like we’d been there so many times even though it was a first.

I highly recommend trying this spot out! Well worth it!

Great upscale place but be prepared to pay.

The vibes were really old school so was cool to see.

We ordered a lot of food, here’s the whole rundown:

Chicken- great for value but didn’t match the hype we were hearing about
Ribeye steak- cooked very well and very flavorful. Sleeper dish for a seafood restaurant.
Stone crabs-really enjoyed these but think this is just something you try once and your tastes are quenched for it after.
Lobster tail-most memorable dish, nice and chewy with a great texture. Glad we got it fried too.
Creamed Spinach-another unexpected side dish that we really enjoyed. Coming from someone who doesn’t enjoy spinach at all. Would recommend.
Hash browns- great too but was forgettable.
Lobster Mac and cheese- would recommend! The combo of mac and lobster was so unique and tasty!
Key lime pie-if you’re in Miami you have to try the key lime pie and this is the place to do it at!

Had the best time! Kiera was my server and did a fantastic job - such a great way to celebrate my anniversary. The key lime pie was perfect and the crab was some of the best of my life. Amazing service and great atmosphere.

A classic restaurant in traditional setting. The restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings but highly recommend reservation beforehand as the place is most likely going to be full of patrons. Our server is nice and professional. Food is on higher price side and tastes good though candidly is what you would expect from a decent seafood place and nothing out of ordinary.

Nice location near Miami beach and worth checking out once to cross off the list.
