Smith & Wollensky - Miami Beach

I am in Miami Beach for the weekend. Was looking for something a little higher end and was referred somewhere, but go to that place and unfortunately it wasn’t open yet. Quick google search provided me Smith & Wollensky. The shrimp cocktail is one of the best I’ve had, the bread for the table was quite delicious, and the truffle fries were super good. I got the 10oz standard filet and it was solid. We had two servers, not sure if that’s normal or if one was being trained, however both were very nice and attentive. They had east coast oysters on the menu and we ordered them, but unfortunately I didn’t react quickly enough as I was focused on the shrimp and I didn’t get anyway. I ordered a lobster tail as a side for my steak and it was the only disappointing part. The lobster tail was pretty mid, however it was only $19 and I’m use to paying at least double if not quadruple that, so I wasn’t upset. As for a table by the water. Great views. Even got to see the world’s largest cruise ship pass by. Mind you, I’m not exactly into cruise ships but it was so massive it was just cool to see in person.

Such a nice evening celebrating our Anniversary. We were told no wait, then there was a wait but then when we got to the outdoor seating area, they made sure to seat us right away. The food was delicious as were the drinks (espresso martini, lemon drop martini and the bottle of wine). Will definitely be going back.

Had a good time at Smith and Wollensky; I wanted to sit outdoors and try some appetizers. The food was good, I really liked the bread they provide, the clam chowder was my favorite of the three things I ordered. Forewarning; the birds will hound you if you choose to sit outside. I loved their location, watching the boats go by was lovely. Pricey location for a cocktail hour snack; for Bowl of Clam Chowder and two small appetizers (The shrimp came with three pieces of jumbo shrimp and the scallops come with 4 scallops) my total was $80.

Thank you so much for making our 2 year anniversary so special. The food was delicious, the Signature Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The Twin Petite Filet Mignon was equally as delicious per the Mrs. The Truffle Mac-n-Cheese was amazing, a fantastic dish to share. We both loved it. The Coconut Cake dessert was also fantastic and delicious. The service was spectacular and the view of the ocean was beautiful. It's on the pricier side but worth it. We can't wait to go back.

The location of the diner is very nice, sitting by the window allows you to see excellent water view and big cruise lines passing by. It was our first time trying dry-aged steak and we were awed by how good it tasted. The service was amazing, our server Jerilyn was very friendly and humorous, which is not always the case with servers in Miami. We enjoyed our time there and we are glad we went to dine there.

It's a perfect done in place along with an excellent outside and indoor bar. The food is cooked to perfection and the choice of available options is immense. I loved their shellfish tower along with their medium rare lamb chops. Good place, will surely visit again if in the area

FOOD WAS AMAZING! Great steak house! Me & My wife had the swinging tomahawk ribeye & man was that amazing! Presentation was amazing as well! Waiters are very professional & make sure you are good through out your dining experience! Very impressed! Also had the Mac & cheese that just melts in your mouth! The crab cake was really tasty ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STEAK HOUSE YOU GET AN AMAZING VIEW & AMAZING FOOD IT JUST CANT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!

One of the best waterside experiences in Miami. Don’t forget to top your meal with the most delicious coconut cake. Great job from Angel and Yarelin. We had the Rib Eye and Filet Mignon — cooked to perfection. Highly recommend to add the mashed potatoes and the corn as side dishes. Will be back soon.

We recently enjoyed a delightful date lunch here. We absolutely loved the place, it exceeded all expectations. Marco T. has been taking care of us and he made sure our experience was absolutely fantastic. He had informed us the restaurant has been open for over 40 years and it was a pleasure to be guests of such authentic historical Miami place with breathtaking views, great food and flawless service.

Our culinary journey began with super fresh shrimp cocktail and beef tartar which happened to arrive with bone marrow😋 Mind blowing delicious. For our main courses, we had tender salmon and a perfectly cooked steak. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor.

Extensive wine selection catered to match every pallet and to pair with the entire food menu. If you are a cocktail lover, martinis were deluded and mixed to perfection.

Though not inexpensive, every penny spent was justified by the exceptional quality of the experience. We were very satisfied, already planning our return visit.

Beefsteak was tasty with special vegetable that I thought it was only in my country. With me beefsteak is good with medium rare that I can feel the soften, juice and sweet. With me 300gsm is tasty enough. Salad and bread hare were also good.
I love the atmosphere, the beautiful decorations and feeling cozy.
Go to America, you should try the beefsteak.
It perhaps normal with USA people but with people who travel there, the price in the menu which not include tips. Should pay further tips with the bill.

I sat at the outdoor bar. Ceasar and William were great! I've heard so many positive and negative things about this location.

I kept it simple and had the Wollensky Salad and MANY margaritas. It was all amazing.
I will return and I do recommend it to friends and family.

I decided to take my wife’s here for a birthday brunch, and I’m glad that I did. Making reservations was easy, and I left instructions for the host to wish my wife a happy birthday, which was executed perfectly. Our waitress, Jennifer, gave an awesome explanation of the menu and the day’s special meals. Jennifer was attentive to our needs, and kept the flow of the meal going, as to not have us waiting on the next course, or drink unnecessarily. We had a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. 5 stars all day.

My boyfriend and I came for brunch on Sunday for our anniversary and we couldn’t have imagined of a better place or experience. Ianko and Brian were AMAZING and went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible dining experience. We will definitely back!

The crab cake starter was very good (not the best I’ve had but still good). The wagyu filet mignon was superb, well accompanied by caramelized onions and asparagus. Fantastic apple pie to finish off. Service was a dream and Hugo was attentive and very knowledgeable, even if super busy. I’ll definitely return when I’m in Miami again.

I had the fillet with asparagus and enjoyed it with a whiskey on the rocks. The servers were incredibly attentive, and the service was impressively fast—I ordered a drink, and it arrived in less than five minutes, followed swiftly by the food. If you're seeking fine dining with delicious food and efficient service, I highly recommend this place. I'd definitely return for another visit.

Everything about this iconic Miami Beach restaurant is great. The views of the ships passing by with Fisher Island on the background. The super fresh seafood and made to perfection meats. The sides come as shareable portions, I like the whipped potatoes & the spinach. A must try for desserts is their coconut cake, it’s so good. The restaurant is pricey but worth every penny.

This place is beautiful!!! Most romantic restaurant I’ve ever been to.
My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement here.

Our server, Fernando, was absolutely marvelous. Courteous, knowledgeable, kind, very fast service, and didn’t judge me when I asked my drink to be remade because it was too strong.

The restaurant gave us free champagne to celebrate! 🥂

The steaks were exquisite, as were the brussel sprouts (as you can tell from the photos, it was so good I forgot to take a picture before we finished!).

The Mac and cheese was the only dish that wasn’t excellent. The flavor was fine but it was on the greasy side. I understand a truffle Mac and cheese will have some truffle oil in it, but these puddles were too much. Still, everything else was superb, not worth docking any points.
