Fantastic experience! Dr. Patterson is thorough and really cares about his patients. The office staff is friendly and efficient. Scheduling was a breeze and I was in and out in no time. Oh, and they had a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. It was difficult to choose, but the optician there helped me pick out a fabulous pair of Coach sunglasses that now I won't go anywhere without!

I highly recommend Emerald Coast Eye Care to anyone who is not already a patient there. I have been a patient there for almost 3 years and have been incredibly pleased with the service and care that Dr. Patterson and the staff at Emerald Coast Eye Care have provided. Dr. Patterson is professional, kind, and great at communicating. In addition to Dr. Patterson, the staff at Emerald Coast are so helpful, nice, and caring. When I was being fitted for my contacts for the first time I was really bad at putting my contacts in and it took a while for me to get the hang of it, but the optometrist techs there were patient, helpful, and reassuring in teaching me how to correctly put my contacts in. I have never had a problem with any of the contacts or glasses that I have purchased from Emerald Coast, the daily contacts that they recommended for me are super comfortable and the glasses are high quality and durable.

Had a eye exam done here, purchased glasses elsewhere. After getting glasses had trouble with them adjusting with my eyes, went into Emerald Coast Eye Care and the older gentleman who does the glass fittings sat down with me and did some adjustments with my glasses. Even though I didn't purchase the glasses there they were more than helpful in correcting my problem. I would definitely recommend these folks to anyone!

Emerald Coast saved my business trip. I had forgotten to pack my glasses or contacts in my overnight bag. Once, I contacted my doctor in Atlanta, Emerald Coast gave me a trial set! Thanks again!!

I've been going here for years (almost 10) and Dr. Patterson is awesome! He spends time with you and listens, and makes sure that your satisfied and understands his recommendations. They are very accommodating as well when it comes to appointments. The only thing is the price of their contacts have went up a pretty good amount (as with everything I know). It stinks because now with online ordering it almost forces people like me to go online and order my contacts instead of being able to stay local. Lastly, the process of co-pays if you have a medical issue that's discussed or not is kinda confusing at the office. All in all, there's no other Eye Doctor I'd rock with other than Dr. Patterson. Period.

Went to pick up glasses and a guy comes out of the back and hands them to me and that was about it. No adjusting or fitting. Just have a nice day.

Well unfortunately I had to downgrade my review and I really never like to do this but.. I think all the growth in the PCB area has diluted the personable service that this office used to offer. I didn't get a reminder that my eye exam was due and so when I called running short on contacts to get my exam there was no exam available for 3 months out. I understand certain medical guidelines have to be followed but telling me my only option was to wear glasses for months until I could get in on an eye exam was completely unacceptable. Two recommendations: 1) office staff needs to be friendlier and act like they're happy you chose this practice, not you're lucky to be in here. 2) If you're so busy, you're booked three plus months out for eye exams. At the very minimal. You should have long time customers on a reminder system 2 months out that their eye exam is due!

Crooks! I get there and have a ton of things I have to sign, one says that other than a copay, you also have to pay a "contact fitting fee" which can range from 50-100 dollars! If your eyesight has changed even a tiny bit they'll charge you more. Because of my vision insurance which pays for contacts, I still had to pay $150 and most of it was just for checking my vision!

My exam was excellent. But the pricing on their glasses was ridiculous . Found out after purchasing, I could have saved about 200.00 by going elsewhere. Even with my insurance, my glasses were over 400.00! So go there to get eye exam, but please do yourself a favor and shop around for you glasses.

If you think you will be able to schedule appointments from their website (because thats what they say you can do) think again. This was a deal breaker for me because I wish to do less and less business by phone. They just missed out on 6 more patients. Sorry Emerald Coast Eye Care. Let me know if you change your policy.

I absolutely love the frames. Unfortunately, I was informed by the receptionist after spending an ample amount of time looking at frames, I first had to purchase an eye exam THERE to be able to purchase my prescription glasses through my insurance.

Eye Exam was fantastic! EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH GETTING GLASSES THERE!!!! CROOKS!! Here's my story...When I went in for my exam I was asked if I'd considered progressive lenses. I told the dr I was concerned about motion sickness which she agreed some people can get from them but said they may work out for my vision and said I should at least consider it as an option at some point. The gentleman fitting me for glasses was a bit more pushy and convinced me with the guarantee that I could bring them back to exchange them within 30 days of trying them if I was not happy with them for any reason. The progressive lenses cost me an additional $125 bringing my out of pocket cost (after insurance paid there portion) to $500 for my glasses. I did have issues with motion sickness just like I thought I would so I brought them back within the 30 days to have them switched to regular lenses. No problem with that. What they did not mention to me when they were convincing me to at least try the progressive lenses was that they would not reimburse me any of the $125 I had to pay to get the lenses I didn't really want in the first place.
