RCRBJJ is the place to train if you want to get good. John is an absolute wizard at both the practice and the teaching of BJJ. The team is the best group of people I've ever had the privilege to spend time with. Very welcoming atmosphere and the group really does feel like a family. If you're considering starting, or getting better at BJJ come to a class, you'll get hooked.

RCRBJJ is a great series of programs here in Madison for kids and adults. John, Bobby, and Adam are great coaches and do a tremendous job with kiddos of all ages. John has gone above and beyond, training my special needs son with amazing patience and really connecting with him. Bobby has done a phenomenal job also, taking extra time training my daughter and really accelerating her technical skills. The adult program run by John is awesome, with multiple sessions per day to accommodate tough/busy work and personal schedules. On any given day or night you can find a mix of ages and skill levels all dedicated to putting in the work to make each other better. It’s truly a big family and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to join it.

RCRBJJ is a great place to train with an amazing group of people. The adult BJJ program run by John is awesome, plenty of options throughout the day/night to train when it best suits my schedule. John and the team are always happy to stay back after class provide extra help when needed!

I've tried another bjj gym before and it was an unpleasant experience. Rocket City Revolution was incredibly inviting and made me feel safe and welcome to train. I would recommend this gym to beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Can't say enough about this gym.

I visited Rocket City Revolution several times while traveling in the Huntsville area. They had a very inviting and friendly atmosphere, and the professor, John Bruss gave quality instruction. As a visitor to their gym, I felt very welcomed. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to train BJJ.

I have trained in martial arts for many years and feel lucky to have found Rocket City Revolution. John Bruss (Head Instructor) is a great person as well as a great teacher and he comes from a awesome jiu-jitsu lineage. I have been going to this gym for about 4 months and I absolutely love it. I was nervous to go to a class by myself but everyone, instructors and students, are so welcoming and kind. The instructors have a great passion for teaching that really shows in their classes. I have learned so much in just four months of training here, as well as becoming more physically fit and confident. There is an awesome group of ladies to train with here too. They have very reasonable prices and good class availability during the week. I highly recommend checking them out.

100% the best Gym I have ever trained at! I have been rolling here for almost 8 months and it feels like everyone is just one big family! John is an amazing instructor and can help you through any move and is really supportive, and Seth is awesome with analogies that really put techniques into perspective. Absolutely awesome environment to train in; John and Seth are 2 extremely skilled instructors and truly care for each and every one of their students. The difference between this gym and others I have visited is night and day; from day one it feels like you aren’t just joining a gym, you are becoming part of a family. I stopped in for a class while visiting family and now wish I could find a gym like this where I live. Best atmosphere I’ve ever had in a bjj class. Best gym I’ve been to in the Madison/Huntsville area! Very informative, with plenty of helpful and encouraged time to work one on one with friendly, knowledgeable instructors like John and Seth. Great mix of detailed technique being taught, in addition to tough live matches that will push you to progress.

At the end of 2020, I started looking into BJJ gyms for my teen daughter, and after researching the ones in the area, I contacted RCRBJJ. They responded quickly and kept communication with me thru and after the holidays. They offered a one week free trial & provided a military discount! RCRBJJ was the only gym that was offering some normalcy after they reopened from the mandated COVID shutdown. They still take all the sanitary precautions and encourage anyone who isn't feeling well to stay home.

I love how much the instructors care for everyone that comes to their gym! They make you feel like family! My daughter loves going there and has learned so much in such a short time. She competed in her first tournament end of July and practically the whole gym family turned out to support one another.

Great gym, with a great price and great environment. Rocket City BJJ has everything from an incredibly experienced black belt, to a team full of knowledgeable upper belts who want nothing more than for students to learn as much as possible. If you show up ready to learn, it’s impossible not to get better. This gym starts you off on day one learning, rolling, and becoming part of the team. The best part in my opinion is that John does not focus on all the formalities and promotes an environment where lower belts learn from higher belts. BJJ in general is an incredibly humbling but difficult sport that teaches you a ton about yourself. Do jiu jitsu and do it here!

I have completely lucked out by moving to an area with a Revolution BJJ school! John Bruss continues the awesome lineage of Carlson Gracie Sr and Julio Fernandez. The classes are challenging and rewarding. My former Instructor, Robert Hugus, told me "You're in good hands with John!" and he was right. Great atmosphere and the other students are are there to learn, not crush each other. RCRBJJ was vetted and selected for the "We Defy Foundation"🇺🇸. Also, it's highly recommended for Law Enforcement. Give it a try. The first week is free.

Great school! Professor (John Bruss) and the students really care about the school and each other. Everyone is willing to help you learn and to progress. John is super patient and really helps you nail the details. Whether you are in it for combat sports, tournaments, or just because you are interested in BJJ, this a great place to be. Been going since November 2018.

Awesome environment and was able to drop in from out of town, very welcoming. Learned alot and helped me bridge the gap in different areas needed to improve my game.
