Jeong's Yong In Martial Arts

My son has been in Taekwondo since he was 5 and when we moved from our hometown, his previous instructor researched and found this Taekwondo school and we have love it and he is doing great! The sense of teamwork, camaraderie, discipline and family has been nice and I would definitely recommend anyone considering Taekwondo here.

This Dojang is absolutely worth every cent we pay. They are welcoming, caring, professional and absolutely wonderful. They take the time to get to know each student. They will even take time after class to talk with you. They not only focus on growth in the Dojang, but growth at home and in the world. It has not quiet been a year yet. But I see so much growth in my child. I could not have chosen a better place. We absolutely love every single one of them and know they love and care for us as well.

This place is the real deal. We have only been a handful of times, but the look on my 4 year olds face is PRICELESS. I have never seen him so proud of himself and so joyful. This family makes him feel so special. We are still brand new and I feel at home when walking in and I know my son does too. I got emotional today during his practice because I was in awe at watching all the kids train. I could see in their little eyes how proud they were and how hard they were working. This family will change lives for the better. I love Jeongs!!

We started our son here a few years ago after we scouting a lot of other places first none of them were as welcoming, kind, professional, and none of them demonstrated the true Taekwondo spirit. The Jeong's Young family are very kind, understanding, they work very closely with their students. When you come here to learn you are not just a number to them, you become family part of something that will help you grow in life. I have seen a big change in my son over these past few years he has been with the Jeong's Young family. He looks up to them they are not just his masters they have become a part of our family. The Jeong's Young are simply the best there is. You can go any places to train and get fit but if you truly want the best this is the place you need to come to. My son has been a part of this amazing team for a while now. There is no greater place for your child to grow. There is genuine love and respect in every session. Yong In is a solid family and they make you a part of it! To top it all off you are being trained by a family of champions that have earned the right to be called such. Master Yong and his family groom competitors and thinkers. Hands down number #1.

What a great place to train! The whole Jeong family, from the grandmaster to his youngest daughter, treat us all like family. They are infinitely patient with us, and have helped us immensely on our martial arts journey. My son is 13, and just earned his black belt, my other son is 7, and will be testing for his soon. I am about 9 months from a black belt myself, and my oldest, who is 24, will be testing in a little more than a year. We started with Grandmaster Jeong when he opened the school, and everything has been wonderful. We could not ask for better in a school.

My 5-year-old daughter, 8-year-old son, my husband and I have joined Jeong’s Yong In Martial Arts for more than a year now. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The owners, Master Jeong and Master Lee, are professional, compassionate, patient, accommodating and highly experienced. As former Korea/US national team coaches, they are extremely thorough in their teaching skills, providing individualized guidance to kids with many different personalities and abilities. Their approach is gentle and fun, yet challenges each student to become more confident and competent. The owners’ four children are all Taekwondo masters who have won many national and international championships. What makes this place truly unique is the inspiration and example that these young masters have shown to our kids. The Jeong family’s big brother demonstrates excellent leadership with lots of humor, their big sister shows expertise and diligence, their middle sister is delightful and caring, and their little sister is patient and encouraging all the time. Our kids get to watch and spend time with these big brothers and sisters --- what they are learning is not just Taekwondo skills, but how to become a well-rounded person with a big heart! On top of all the goodies for the kids, this place is good for adults too. All the masters take special care to teach adults in a way that fits our physical level, and make us feel at home. Jeong’s Yong In is a hidden gem in Madison. I highly recommend this place to any kids and family!

Absolutely amazed with Jeong's Yong-In. The students are respectful, the instructors are fantastic, and Master Jeong is an extraordinary teacher and motivator. I go to this school as much as I can in the week and I still wish I could come more often. I definitely would recommend Jeong's Yong-In to all people in Madison, Alabama who are interested in learning new things. Go visit!

We love this family owned and operated Taekwondo school. We were in a franchise school for 3 years and although we enjoyed the experience, Jeong's has really taken our Taekwondo experience to another level. The entire family, two parents and four children, are involved in sharing their knowledge with the students. They are awesome examples of excellence in Taekwondo. Grandmaster Jeong has exactly the right balance of enforcing excellence and discipline while showing love for the students. This is not just a business for the family, it is their lifestyle and it shows in everything they do. Jeong's Yong In Martial Arts is a member of Kukkiwon and the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) which is the only recognized Taekwondo for the Olympic games. Both senior masters are graduates of Yong In University in South Korea which is significant because they are highly educated in Sports Science in addition to their proficiency in the art of Taekwondo. I feel my son is in good hands and Jeong's Yong In Martial Arts will ensure he can achieve his potential in an Authentic Korean Taekwondo school. We consider these guys to be part of our family!

World class Taekwondo Dojang! Not only do you get the best instruction, but the family that owns the studio is also wonderful.

Our first experience with this dojang (Korean for martial arts school) was when my daughter came to a classmate's birthday party here. She was immediately hooked. She has been to camps at other martial arts schools and enjoyed them, but she was adamant to go to this dojang. So one summer, my daughter (7 at the time), my son (5), and I (42) tried it out.

A family of Taekwondo Masters (husband, wife, and their 4 grown children) run the dojang. You can tell right away that it is a great family atmosphere. They are as great with kids 4-5 years old. They give opportunities to higher belt teens to help lead small groups and classes. They are forgiving to out-of-shape adults like me. The Masters do not look for perfection from you in class and during tests, but look for genuine best effort provided by the students. That said, the dojang's goal for you is high. Being a family of U.S. National Team representatives, they will help you reach a high-level of performance if you put in the effort.

Overall, this is a great environment for kids and adults to learn discipline, challenge themselves, and exercise. There are many more great things and examples I can give about this dojang, but you should really experience it yourself. The dojang usually have introductory specials that you can utilize to try out. With the COVID concern, they have options for online classes and good procedures for those attending in-person.

We have been with the dojang for 18 months and are about half way to reach black belt and hopefully higher.
