Black Hog BBQ & Bar

Stopped in after a sporting event at local high school. Quaint little restaurant. It wasn't too crowded, so we were seated immediately. Server was very polite and responsive. I ordered the brisket with baked beans and fries as my sides. Portions were very large, I was quite pleased with the amount of food that came with the platter. The brisket was moist and tender with a very nice smoke ring. Others in our party ordered dry rub wings and a Mofo sandwich. We were all more than happy with our meals.

The brisket and ribs were delicious. The potato salad and mac and cheese made from scratch. Brittney was a fantastic sever.

Nice surprise!! I enjoyed the Gumbo, cornbread and sweet potatoes. My husband had the 3 meat Mofo sandwich and fresh cut french fries. Stopped during our travels and will for sure stop here again, delicious!!

My wife and I have been coming here for many years now. The parking lot is plentiful even while sharing it with the other businesses around. The atmosphere is comforting, as the lighting is dim and the locals are always gathering at the bar and having fun. Whenever we come in, we either get Brenda or Shawn, knowing we’ll get the best service possible every time. We’ve met the manager plenty of times and he’s a good guy. The kitchen staff always get the orders right and we’re never disappointed. We’ve never had a bad experience here. We’ve been to the other Black Hog locations, and even if another location is closer at the time, we take the extra hike for this specific location. They’ve got the best gumbo I’ve had out and the sandwiches and meats are always a pleaser. If you’re not about meat and get a salad, you get a massive one.

Black Hog has the best BBQ sides I've ever had. Every side is a grand slam. I could roll around in a pool of their potato salad. Freaking delightful.

The meat is so delicious too! You really can't go wrong with any menu item here. Love it!

As always Black Hog does not disappoint, the food was delicious, especially the gumbo, absolutely amazing, especially with little buttered cornbread. Mac and cheese and Southern greens are the best, my wife says the sweet potatoes are the best. Don't forget dessert, nana pudding and apple crisp.

Really great BBQ and the like. Great service. Even Carolina style.

The food is fantastic. Just skip the brisket if you like brisket as it's not that good. The chicken, the ribs, the gumbo and the sides are worthy enough to continue going there

I gave the food an 3 I ordered ribs they were burnt, you can tell they use powered cheese for the Mac and cheese and store brought potato salad, this isn’t a soul food restaurant. Otherwise the service was great, my waiter came over twice to see how things were, The food just wasn’t what I expected. 3 out of 10

Can you say " yummmmm" ? OMG love this spot. The best BBQ I personally have ever had! If you're in Urbana, you should definitely stop by!

My all time fav are the Josh's BBQ fries. So yummy! I always have leftovers but that's okay cuz it heats up perfectly.

One of the best BBQ I have ever had. I love the coleslaw, ribs, collard greens and delicious corn bread.

Wings were barely average and not very hot ... room for improvement.
