Having a busy job, I knew I needed a wedding planner to help plan our big day. I had reached out to a few planners however after my first call with Tina, I knew that Food For The Soul would be a perfect fit for us. Tina is amazing at what she does and made my husband and I feel at ease throughout the planning process. She is caring, detail oriented, organized, and a true pro when it comes to planning weddings!! We truly would have been lost without her! She helped us navigate the overwhelming process of planning out every detail to ensure our wedding day turned out just as we envisioned it (even better to be honest!!). Tina was so responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I was quite indecisive with certain aspects of our wedding and really relied on Tina for recommendations on set-up, design, and the selection of certain vendors. She did not disappoint! Our wedding was perfect thanks to Tina and our very talented vendors. If you are looking to get married on Maui, we highly suggest going with Tina and the Food For The Soul team!!

From initial coordination consultation to the big day, Tina was an exceptional communicator and listener. Additionally, she has great leadership skills and is sooo good at her job. Rob and Tina have helped our family for 3 very important events in the past 8 months. They did an amazing job for each party, and they helped with not only the food but also the tents, tables, chairs, linens and desserts. It was so easy to place our trust in them and to know that our events would run smoothly. The service they provide is incredible, and the food is delicious. Tina and her team are truly a dream to work with. You will NOT find anyone more trustworthy, proactive, and detail-oriented. I truly feel like we hit the jackpot with Tina.
The minute Tina showed up on my wedding day, all of my stress melted away. She is organized and timely, but also manages to be relaxed and fun. Tina built our timeline and executed every event and detail PERFECTLY!

I have gotten so many complements about how amazing the food was and continue to get them still, all because Chef Rob! He prepared the most amazing appetizers for cocktail hour and the main course, plus adding in a late night appetizer was a HIT!
I seriously want to get married over and over again because Tina was so amazing and she truly made my wedding everything and more. I recommend Tina to all future brides and am so grateful she made our special day absolutely amazing!

We are so grateful and happy that we hired Food for the Soul for our catering and for our day of wedding planner. Tina was our wedding planner and her husband Rob was the head chef. They make such a great team and are incredible people. We got to know Tina very well during the months of planning leading up to the wedding. Even though we hired her for a day of planner, she was helping us organize and giving us vendor recommendations throughout the whole process. It far exceeded our expectations of what we thought a day-of-wedding planner was. Tina knew of every detail to cover and you can tell she and her husband have a lot of experience doing lots of weddings. On the day of our wedding we were able to relax and enjoy everything because Tina and her assistant took care of everything from setting up and organizing the vendors, making sure all of our guests were taken care of, making sure my husband and I set aside alone time right after the ceremony, setting up all of our tables, ensuring all of our vendors were paid and received their tips and cleaning up everything after the wedding. She and her assistant were truly angels and we wouldn’t have been able to have the wedding we did without them! When it came to the food, we were so impressed! Rob is a great chef and so many of our guests mentioned to us how great all the food was. We had a few appetizers during cocktail hour and then for dinner had Mahi Mahi, Roasted Chicken, and a vegan pasta dish. We also had late night snacks (saimin noodles, pizza, and sliders) which were delicious and such a hit with our guests! We also opted for a small 6” round wedding cake and a dessert bar with mini desserts. I am vegan and was so happy that they were able to accommodate making vegan options for me. They even made a vegan cake and vegan cupcakes. Our wedding cake was so good we already broke into the frozen leftovers and ate half of the portion we were supposed to save for our 1 year anniversary!
We would highly recommend Food for the Soul if you are catering an event or wedding. Not only will you get great food and service, you will be working with 2 people who are genuinely caring and embody the aloha spirit!

One of our most favorite things about our Wedding was the FOOD! Food for the Soul was just incredibly amazing. They have the best team and will deliver the best service on your special day! I was so impressed by their professionalism. Everyone was raving about the food that was served! The one thing I could not forget was just how delicious the poke was! Me and my now husband are both born and raised on Maui, so trust us when we say that we know what good poke is. And the poke that was served was so so good! I'm still thinking about it! Everything was delicious! The staff was also super kind and friendly. After we were done taking sunset photos, they already had plates prepared for us to enjoy! I'm so happy we chose them to cater for our wedding. I can't express just how much we enjoyed having them be a part of our day! I'll be recommending them to everyone we know on Maui!

Tina and Rob are two very incredible people. They are easy to work with and professional. The food is some of the best we have had on the island. They treat their staff like family, and this is reflected in their superior service. Our guests are still talking about how wonderful the food and hospitality was, that Food for the Soul provided. We highly recommend them for any event held on the island, but especially a wedding.

Tina was our wedding coordinator but also a lifeline many times. We had several bumps in the road on our wedding planning process. Seven months before the wedding, our wedding venue fell through. Tina helped us find a new venue and get the date moved not long after we were notified of the cancellation. It was such a relief to know that we had someone we could rely on in that situation. She rescheduled the vendors and quickly removed that stress for us. Tina was so wonderful on our wedding day. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and that is in large part to Tina and her team. She kept everything running smoothly and I was able to enjoy the day without worrying about a thing. We cannot recommend Tina and Food for the Soul enough. They helped make our wedding day perfect. We are so grateful for all of the help and guidance along the way.

We were thrilled to hear how much our wedding guests LOVED the food! From appetizers to main courses, Food for the Soul provided mouth-watering meals. Our only regret is that as bride and groom, because we were moving around so much, we didn’t get to really sit and enjoy everything—but that’s to be expected. If you hire FFTS, make sure to try everything because it’s not to be missed! Tina was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the planning process and even assisted with our rentals. The FFTS team made our wedding day seamless, and we highly recommend their services!

Food For The Soul was our Wedding Planner and caterer for our 100 person wedding in Kapalua, Maui last weekend. As a planner, Tina made sure that every detail was handled, while also ensuring reasonable pricing and sharing helpful tips that made the day go smoothly. What I appreciated most was that she worked with us, our budget, and our vision to find the right trade-offs to make our day a reality. Compared to other planners, she told you what the facts were, even if you didn’t want to hear it (aka it’s windy in Kapalua so you need sides on the tent!) and that made the day-of totally smooth, even when we ended up with unexpected weather. We loved her recommendations for vendors, and were impressed by how well they worked together as a team.

As a catering staff, the food and service was impeccable. Multiple guests commented on how delicious it was. We had the island luau buffet and our favorites were the Kalua pork and the Japanese potatoes with coconut cream sauce.

All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend Tina as a wedding planner and Food for the Soul catering. They deliver exceptional value and are fantastic partners.

I can't say enough good things about Tina and her team! Planning an event from the East Coast presented its challenges, but I couldn't have asked for a better partner on the ground in Maui. The Food For the Soul team made sure every detail was in place, we had a contingency plan for the rain, and that our guests were always fed and full of drinks. Tina and crew we're AMAZING for our catered vow renewal. They customized the menu to exactly what we wanted, food was 5 star restaurant quality cooked fresh in our kitchen. Food for the Soul did an incredible job at our wedding. All of the staff were friendly, fun, and professional. They were easy to work with and had no problem fulfilling our special requests. Our wedding had to gluten free to accommodate Celiac disease, and they made it incredibly easy. They worked with us and found a vendor that could provide our gluten-free dessert: creme brulee. They also helped us make a spiked blueberry lemonade drink that our guests raved about. Their food is delicious and the service during the wedding impeccable. Thanks Food for the Soul!

If I could leave 20 stars I would. Food For The Soul, Tina and her entire team are incredible people, the food was excellent and the service was second to none. The event was a memorial service for my in-laws who were tragically killed in the Lahaina fire in August. Tina handled the planning with so much care. I took a guess at how many people would attend and how long the event would be and the team made it all work. I wish I had a happier event to plan with Food For The Soul, I'd love to have them all again under different circumstances!

We hired Tina and her company for our intimate wedding at the Maui Pineapple Chapel for catering, rentals, and day-of-coordinating. Tina went above and beyond. We had frequent phone calls to ensure that we were on track with wedding planning. From beginning to end, Tina helped us stay within our budget, answered all of our questions, and supported us in planning a Hawaii wedding all the way from California! We are so blessed to have worked with them.

Rentals - Tina ensured that all rentals were delivered to the venue AND had her crew set them up! This took so much stress out of our day and made it so easy for us. She and her team helped assemble decor that I had brought from California and the venue looked AMAZING.

NOW THE FOOD - we were married in May 2023 and friends and family are STILL talking about the food! It is the best food we have ever had at a wedding - visually stunning, delicious, and no one went home hungry.

FFTS was more than we could have expected! I reached out to several catering companies and FFTS hands down had the best menu selection and pricing. We had appetizers and plated dinner which were all so delicious! The filet mignon and Mahi Mahi, was high end restaurant quality food, in no way was this typical "wedding food". Our guests were amazed by the staff service and food presentation/quality. We had guests that do not like steak and/nor medium rare steak but they said they actually enjoyed the steak and would have it again!

Thank you for making our wedding day more than we could have imagined and providing our guest and us with an experience of a lifetime!

We had the pleasure of working with Tina as a day of coordinator and using her company Food for the Soul as our caterer. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with both! Tina helped us with everything on property and made everything run so smooth the day of. Because we are from Colorado my husband and I did not make it out to Maui before the day of our wedding to taste test any food, which was one of the things we were most concerned about. Tina took the time to walk us through everything over the phone and offered fabulous suggestions, answered all of our questions, and helped build us the most delicious menu. Everything tasted absolutely incredible from the passed appetizers, to salad and main dish, to our bite sized desserts. Our guests could not stop talking about how good everything was for DAYS after our wedding. We could not have dreamed of a better experience! Tina and her team were INCREDIBLE! The two biggest compliments we received about our wedding was how delicious the food was and how amazing and helpful the staff was. All thanks to Tina and her team! We got married at the Pineapple Chapel, a place we had never even seen before, and Tina made the entire process seamless and completely stress free from the start.
