ABA Next Steps-Riverside Coffee Shop

Ok on this Memorial Day after a outing to the nursery for flowers we stopped in for a quick bit and to try this very clean inspiring place. With books to read while you indulge in very fairly priced drinks and food, that were in my opinion beyond any chain. And the mission for the staff, and even some of the artist that have wares there, heartwarming and just what I needed as of late I have lost hope in a lot of life. I had the biscuit and gravy, a nice little portion and a coffee, (gone so fast I missed the photo) wife and kid had sandwiches as seen. The place is so clean, with large easy to access handicap friendly bathrooms. Many seating options if your alone or with friends, a very contemporary yet sheik feel. I give them five stars, and I know this I will be back for their $4 grilled cheese with a book to read, and one to leave to share with others. I will be back to support the vendors as well.

Staff is great. Very pleasant place to just sit and rest for a bit. Coffee is good. Why not patronize a small business that is also doing good by giving purpose to those with a need for dignity. For me…supporting local folks and local businesses like this is far better than feeding franchises and national corporations.

The iced nitro cold brew with lavender, vanilla and oat milk is the PERFECT pick-me-up! 😉🥰 Delivery was super fast and the drink came with a cute sticker. The Ham and Gouda Sandwich was so delicious and is exactly what I needed today!

Absolutely love the reason behind this coffee shop. I admire what they do to help disabled kids/teens get introduced to adult hood in a way they can be comfortable with and it’s nonprofit so all the proceeds made go towards the program for the kids! Plus, the coffee is super good with so many unique and yummy flavors! I highly recommend the honey lavender iced latte! (:

I already loved that the coffee was well made and worth the value, but when I heard the mission of this place I knew it was something special. Anywhere that chooses to make positive changes to the community deserves patronage. Thank you for everything you do, and good luck to all of your graduates!

My favorite local coffee shop with a beautiful mission. Every employee is so friendly and their coffee is delicious as well as the sandwiches. Anytime I’m out and need a coffee or snack, this is my go to and always will be. Customer for life over here!!

Wonderful 1st visit here! Drink/Food: Coffee (they use Vienna's beans) was great. They do have 1 GF option for muffins.
Space: Adorable space to sit, read, meet with a friend or work on school / office. Seating on patio outside as well. Warm welcoming environment with many comfortable options for a quick cuppa to sitting a while. Clean bathrooms. Book swap library available to take 1, bring 1. :-)

Extras: Drive-thru available. Plenty of parking right by the door.

What made this place a 5 star was Miss Faith! She's a super knowledgeable Barista that lights up the room with bright conversation. She will take extra efforts to tailor make a coffee to your particular wishes.
100% worth a visit - will be back.

Cute coffee shop with limited, but nice, menu. Open, mellow and interesting atmosphere and super nice staff. As a side benefit, it supports great cause. But I'd give it 5* even if it didn't.

Amazing local shop with very affordable options, great coffee, delicious sandwiches, and a truly amazing leadership in place to help these beautiful young adults be able to thrive in the work place and life in general.

The London fog was soooo good and this place is so cute! I haven't tried the food but the pastries look delicious. Will definitely return

I paid $8.50 ish for a fresh breakfast sandwhich and their large iced caramel latte. Both tasted great and were gone in roughly 5 minutes.

The business is built on a great strategy and I'm happy to be working next to it! Gonna be my go to place for coffee! Hopefully they start offering tea in the winter months as well!

Great atmosphere, yummy coffee, and awesome staff!

After a winter walk with the family, we stopped at The Riverside Coffee Shop for a delicious gingerbread latte and they offered us free sugar cookies to boot! This coffee shop provides job training for young adults with special needs! There was love in this coffee shop!

The best hidden gem in Knoxville! Wonderful staff, friendly atmosphere, and delicious food - all for a good cause. My Grandpa comes every morning and loves it. Keep up the amazing work!

Riverside is out of my normal travel path but I was going this way today and made a point of stopping in. I had a basic drip coffee with a shot of hazelnut and some banana bread and both were delicious. And their mission is so worthwhile that I want to support them more. I may start making a once a week detour this way to drop in. They not only have coffee, teas and bakery items but their menu board had a list of breakfast sandwiches so I should be all set! The decor is open, bright and inviting. They also have cozy seating nooks, jewelry and other items for sale. Get out and support these folks for the good they are doing for the community!

Coffee with a Cause. Great little coffee shop that helps train young people with disabilities. Worth the stop. Check it out!!

We love this sweet coffee shop with a wonderful mission! The setting is right next to a beautiful church which is fitting for the love and blessings this place adds to the area. Not to mention their wonderful coffee and food selection! A must try place that beats any chain coffee shop.

Cool place, staff is really nice. The pumpkin spice latte was not very good, so I will stick to coffee, next time. Black Forest ham and Gouda was fantastic!

This little coffee shop was really cool! The breakfast sandwiches we had were awesome! The layout and decor were different but really clean, appealing, and neat! The atmosphere was great, and there was even a little library/ study area designated for students!

This is a great coffee shop staffed by amazing baristas! It's a non-profit company and all of the proceeds go toward an awesome cause. The coffee was great! The atmosphere is nice. Please stop by and support this awesome non-profit and the wonderful people who work there.
