What a good find. Good food and good prices. Lots of options including old favorites as well as delicious new ones. Very popular among the locals and they even have a wall of personalize mugs for their returning customers. Staff were excellent and attentive checking on their tables and others. Lot’s of seating inside, and parking around the building and back of the adjacent building. It’s a must stop.

Staff are the best! If you are a local you need to make this a regular stop. Ask to join the coffee club. If you are passing through - you won’t be disappointed! Great food at great prices and they know how to load your plate :-)

Golden Egg was exactly what I wanted from a beach restaurant spot. Staff was friendly, wait was much shorter than expected, restaurant was clean and bright, service was great, food was excellent. Very generous portions and reasonable prices. I will absolutely be back next time I’m in the area.

This place is absolutely amazing👏 . If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The food was absolutely great can't wait to visit mrytle beach again just to eat here. We ate at several places while on vacation even captain Benjamin's which cost 3 times as much but this was the best meal by far. There were no complaints from anybody in our party of 8 everyone thought it was great. We even picked up a t-shirt on the way out

Golden Egg is absolutely delicious! Great service, family friendly atmosphere, and down home country cooked breakfast to die for!! This morning I ordered California Eggs Benedict w home fries and my beautiful Sam ordered three eggs, home fries and french toast! Thank you GOLDEN EGG PANCAKE HOUSE!!!

The food was good. The service was great. Prices were reasonable. This is one of the most popular breakfast places in the area, so going during the week is best if you don't want to wait. I will say they flip the tables very quickly. It is worth checking out.

We went in for Memorial Day breakfast. They had a 15-20 min wait time. But our table was ready in 10 mins. Food came out fast once we ordered, and everything was delicious.

Rain or Shine prepare to wait outside! Stopped in this morning on the way home from our trip. Business was booming. The food was well worth the wait. Everything was cooked perfectly. The home fries were absolutely delicious! I would definitely eat there again.

Holy smokes this was a nice breakfast! It was so tasty, we ended up visiting twice during our trip. The Benedicts are made well, perfectly poached eggs and lots of hollandaise sauce on top. The home fries were surprisingly good and I'm not a huge potato fan. The staff was super friendly and made our experience even better. The rest of the items we got were all tasty and the whole family was satisfied. Keep up the great work!

We have vacationed in Myrtle Beach since the 90s and somehow have missed this gem until this year. After reading numerous reviews, we decided to try The Golden Egg for brunch. We arrived around 10:30 and given an estimated wait time of 25 minutes. Nearly on the 25 minute mark, we received a text that our table was ready. The food was fantastic. Quick service. Reasonable prices. We ordered The Barnyard, The Golden Egg Special, Reese’s pancakes, and strawberry stuffed French toast. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next day, a bit earlier. Given a 10-15 minute wait, yet again, text received spot on. That day we ordered the Carolina omelette, the Western omelette, and the Breakfast Wrap. My mom and I returned once more during the week; estimated 10 minute wait. We ordered the BLT and pancakes with a side of potatoes and bacon. Everything was fresh and delicious each visit. We will definitely make this a regular spot on future trips to Myrtle Beach.

I will warn that the Reese’s pancakes are very rich. The taste is great, but hard to eat much of on their own. They are plain pancakes covered in peanut butter & chocolate sauce then topped with Reese cups.

The potatoes say they have Greek seasoning, and are cooked with peppers and onions. They are a must have and do appear to come with most items.

My family and I stopped in on our vacation and were happy with the service and the food. Pancakes were huge and fluffy. Decent prices and waitress/ staff were friendly. Will definitely be back!

Great pancake house! Loved the stuffed French toast.

The food, service, and cleanliness was very high! The potatoes were excellent, forgot to ask for the bacon to be crispy and it came that way by default. The service was excellent, and the owner was pleasant and even gave me a free t-shirt. Oh I almost forgot that the prices are more reasonable than other nearby breakfast joints. Definitely the place to go in surfside!

Add: I have made several visits here in the years following this post and every experience has been extremely positive and the food remains the same excellent quality!

Sooooo good that in our 8 day stay at the Beach, We ate here 3 times because their Breakfast is just that good. The Mish Mash was delicious, my eggs were cooked a little harder than I like but it was still good. The 2nd time I had the Chipped Beef and man this time I asked for soft scrambled eggs and it was perfect. The 3rd time, I got the Country fried Steak with eggs and tomato slices and this was fantastic. The Service was a little slow, but the food was definitely worth the wait.
P.S. Their tables are very small and with 4 people sitting together and the sizes of the Meal, You would expect a larger dining table to enjoy this wonderful breakfast and they stay busy. I Highly recommend this place for Breakfast, Remember, it's the most important meal of the Day!!!

Fantastic breakfast joint! I had the Golden Egg signature dish with all the breakfast staples and a waffle. Every item was delicious. When we first walked in I noticed a bunch of local police officers having their breakfast. Based on my experience, anywhere you regularly see the 5-0 chowing down is going to be one of the best restaurants in town!

Amazing amazing amazing!!!! Can not say it enough. It was so so so good. Very busy, little bit of a Wait for a table and food but man was it overly worth it!!!!!

Fantastic food and atmosphere! Multiple staff members checked on us and were all extremely kind and on top of things. The menu choices all sounded good it was hard to choose. Will definitely come back if in the area. I see why this place has good reviews now. Very pleased!

We have been coming to the Golden Egg for several years the reason why is simple. The staff. From the moment you walk in the door the hostess is friendly and welcoming. Now since we’ve been coming, they remember us and treat us like we are family. Our daughter has special needs and they are more than accommodating to her and our family. Two years ago, my daughter had a medical issue and this same hostess came over and checked on us in a calm manner. She has always been so kind and goes above and beyond to make sure that not only us but the other patrons are taken care of. The additional perk, is that the food is delicious and they will cook it your liking. Don’t be afraid to ask…they will do it right!
