The Flying Spatula

Take the time to enjoy the food here at the Flying Spatula. We have tried this place a couple times. The 3/4lb burgers are delicious. We tried the bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and mayo. The burger had crispy edge with a juicy bite. The bacon was small broken pieces in every bite. And the bun did not get soggy as it was lightly toasted. Added Fries, good flavor, but not as crispy as we prefer. Overall the meal was just right. Try the breakfast, lunch or dinner options here. They are open for breakfast and lunch hours so come before it’s too late. The service was nice and the family is sweet.

Very good small restaurant. With a big and quiet parking lot for semi truck. Good service, very good lunch and big portions. The lady seem to work all by herself inside so she work hard and she’s very gentle. I recommend and will be back there for sure !!

Food was good and not very expensive. Waitress and staff were excellent I just had breakfast this time but I'll be back another day for supper. Parking for about twenty trucks.

Authenticity of this place cannot be replicated. It's simple, comfortable, charming and has the markings of being well used over the years. Had a great breakfast. It's been my go to when crossing the border over the years amd I hope to continue the tradition.

This place is wonderful! Don’t let the lack of paint or faded sign scare you. They are quite open. The owner is a pro on that grill. Gives LARGE portions at a cheap price.
I’ve never seen an owner work so hard. And her waitress is a doll. Always smiling and serves that food FAST!
Go there! You won’t regret it.
Oh…and if you like great wings, she does that too!
I’ll miss that place!

Great small spot to have some breakfast. The locals dining in looked at us weird & didn't seem to appreciate our visit but the staff waitress was outstanding

A perfect oatmeal followed by scrambled eggs with mushrooms and an extra onion.

Fantastic place for a long haul trucker to pull in and have a well-deserved meal. Portion sizes are generous the coffee is fresh, staff is friendly, and the price is right. I am making point to stop here whenever I have time.

Was in the area this afternoon. Stopped by for a breakfast. Thank you to our waitress as she was the only one working them tables. I am a southern girl and them homefries were like sitting in my Grandma Mary's kitchen. I am heading back to grab one of those Cinnamon Buns. Better then Grandma Margaret's♡

Come to this gem off exit 49 of I 81 lafargeville exit! The pie lived to hype and the blueberry pancake and omelet were great. Help a small business instead of hitting mcds or some corporate chain. Also bacon was crispy how I like it so many fail at this not this place cmon down today!

Friendly service along with good food and pleasant dining area. Stopped there again 9/22 and changed my review. Pricey for a less than good breakfast with small servings. Will not be back.

One great Rubin sandwich! Truck parking

Easy access from interstate 81. Large parking lot for transports of cars. Large portions of tasty food and at great prices. Friendly staff makes you feel at home. No WiFi but the place is bright and clean.

Great place for a quick bite to eat. Service was excellent, and portions were larger than expected. Nice quiet atmosphere. Very clean, tidy little cafe. Will definitely make this place a regular stop.

Great place to stop for a bite..Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. As I'm a Truck driver it's convenient ample parking lot is a Blessing. Side note..try the BLT on Sourdough as it was one of the most fulfilling sandwiches I've ever had...Coffee is Superb

We found this place by accident after leaving Alexandria Bay and not seeing anything that had parking or looked open. This is everything you want in a little dinner. Lots of options on the menu with daily specials. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available when they're open ( Friday Saturday and I believe Sunday they're 7am to 7pm. The rest of the week 7am to 2pm). If you are in the area stop in. I wish they had mugs or shirts for sale I would have gotten one.

Just had breakfast with my son. First time had the garbage omelet it was amazing. Extremely busy wait staff with only one person working. They did an amazing job keeping up with everything.
