Proof Kitchen and Cocktails is an absolute must-try if you're in the Star/Meridian area. From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere makes you feel like a regular.

The menu is outstanding, with a focus on locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients from farmers and purveyors in the Treasure Valley.

But you can't leave without trying one of their craft cocktails! I had the "43 Revolver" with local Seven Devils Whiskey, that was so refreshingly unique. They even have an entire "Zero Proof" mocktail menu for non-drinkers

What really sets Proof apart is the incredible attention to detail and focus on sourcing the highest quality local ingredients. The chef/owner Bryan has created such an exceptional yet unpretentious dining experience. The food is absolutely to die for. So don’t miss out!

I really liked the atmosphere of this place. It was peaceful, the drinks were great, and the service was very friendly. I'll definitely be coming back again!! (I also heard their pizza is fantastic!)

It's awesome finding a great place for food and drinks where the staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. Their beignet dessert is awesome too!

Great spot for lunch! Enjoyed the weather on their covered outdoor seating and played bags while waiting for our lunch. Enjoyed the chicken wings to start, and the buffalo chicken sandwich with truffle fries for our main. There is also a nice selection of summer drinks.

Today was our first time eating here. The prime rib dip is usually my go-to sandwich choice if we go after church to eat. This one was next level. It was so moist and cheesy and flavorful you really didn't have to dip at all. It was, hands down, THE BEST I have ever had anywhere and I do a lot of traveling for work. Absolutely freaking delicious. The service was great. Everybody was really friendly. We sat on the patio and it was very pleasant. Looking forward to going back for dinner sometime in the future.

First time here and I’ll be back! Had the buttermilk ranch fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing! While waiting for food, went and enjoyed some cornhole! Great spot here in Star!

Wow! I almost don’t want to leave a review for fear of this place becoming too crowded but it’s too good to gate keep! Talk about the perfect date night, evening out with family, quick drink stop after a long days work! We came for date night and it was AMAZING. From start to finish. The staff literally had Pep in their step. Bouncing through the restaurant taking orders, bringing drinks, food. Man, I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re debating coming here, do it! Just go! Thank me later. The pizza, the fries, the margaritas, the salads. I’ll rant all night about how amazing it was and we already can’t wait to come back!

Ps- Chad is a FABULOUS server! And so is the sweet gal who came over to mention how beautiful I looked. Best customer service in the valley thus far! Even the owner took time to stop by our table- this place is easily a 10/10 and will visit again!

We enjoyed our first visit here. We arrived at 5:15 on a Saturday and were able to get seated right away in the covered and heated outdoor area. The drinks were delicious and the potato appetizer was enjoyed by everyone including the kids. We all ordered pizzas (pepperoni, hot Italian and fig get about it). All were really good! We ordered a kids Caesar for my kids to share and I felt it tasted kind of odd like the lettuce wasn’t fresh but my daughter enjoyed it. The doughnut dessert was so so, probably wouldn’t get again. As far as price goes, I have no issue paying for a good meal. Restaurant work is a hard business especially these days and I can appreciate the dedication and love that goes into it. Their menu has their prices so if you aren’t prepared to pay that then just don’t go 🤷🏼‍♀Staff was friendly and the service was great. We are excited to go back and try other items. I do hope they start taking reservations because it is kind of like playing Russian roulette when you show up to a restaurant with three kids and no reservation 😂

The best glazed Brussels sprouts! The rolls are not a bad appetizer too! Special amazing beautiful cocktails 🤩 and very good thin crust pizza that l enjoyed🤩 To finish up, the doughnut kind of puffs with chocolate for dipping (were a bit salty) but l generally recommend this place. Well heated and protected nice patio that l liked. Our server was a sweetheart 🥰

First time going here and it was good. There was a wait...15-20 min. Not horrible for a Friday night though. First time having Whiskey Fries and I love them! They remind me of Poutine, which I love, without the cheese curds. I had the Prime Rib Dip with a Cesar salad side; both very good! The place itself is not large, and when it's full it's kind of loud, but it wasn't unbearable. I'd definitely go again. (The picture is of the Whiskey Fries... Forgot to get the food ones.)

My husband and I had an amazing experience! The wait was short and the inside is super cute. We tried the Brussel sprouts and OMG they were YUMMY!! My husband had the pepperoni pizza and I had the clam linguine followed by their chocolate moose dessert. We highly recommend this spot and cannot wait to go back!!

Not bad at all.. A bit pricey for us long time Idahoans but the food is way more sophisticated and delicious than other restaurants. Our server Rhiannon was really fun and informative. Astonishingly our food came super fast! They have this order cube thingy that they use... it is wirelessly hooked to the kitchen... I think that helped speed things up. I ordered the filet. Sans the gorgonzola - Delicious - really best cut of meat I have had in a while. Sunday night pasta was great also. Lots more meat than meets the eye. Some combination of meatballs and a roast beef?? Not sure. But good. The caprice salad was great. Mozzarella combined with the tomatoes and arugula with the best balsamic vinegar I have tasted in a long while. The same vinegar was also used on the Brussel sprouts which actually IMHO needed a bit more. If you hate Brussels sprouts you just might like these.
The salmon was really good and the pizzas were great. We had the roasted chicken pizza and the cupping pepperoni pizza. Both were fresh tasting and delicious. They have 3 deserts we ordered the Carmel apple tort and the chocolate moose/pudding with whipped cream. The chocolate pudding was good nothing fancy but very good. The Carmel apple tart had too much cinnamon and too little Carmel for my palate. Cut the cinnamon in half add a dash of nutmeg then triple the Carmel and you will have a great dessert.
Seating - this place is small but they have an overflow area that doubles as an outside dining area in the summer. It's pretty cold and slightly uncomfortable in the winter.

Proof is one of my absolute favorite places in Star. The staff is friendly. They willingly make modifications to accommodate my dietary needs. Their cauliflower crust is so amazing, even my husband enjoys it. Everything is locally sourced, made with love, and veteran owned.

What a great addition to our little town. Food was great. Very fresh and full of flavor. Nice selection and a fabulous full bar. For only being open 4 days they are doing a great job and the service was fast and attentive to our needs..

We tried the potato spring roll, and I will definitely get that again. My friend got the chicken fried steak, which was delicious, I got the fish tacos, and her husband got a delicious pizza. I think it was the bee one. Everything was tasty, and the service was fantastic.

My wife and I just moved to Star. We are checking out the local eateries. Today, we came here to celebrate Father's Day a little early. We arrived around 5 pm today, a Saturday. I thought people might be out celebrating Father's Day, like us, but though the place was busy, we were able to be seated at a nice booth right away. I neglected to get the name of our server. He was a clean shaven man with a shaved head. He did a good job of taking care of us, even though he was very busy.

My wife ordered the salmon, asparagus, and mashed potatoes, because she loves salmon. She thought it was cooked very well. I ordered the Bee Sting pizza, spicy sausage, shredded mozarella, herbed ricotta cheese, roasted garlic puree, and hot honey drizzle. Delicious. I had a local IPA that began with Georgetown, also very good.

We were pleased with our first trip to Proof Craft Pizza. I look forward to trying many of their other dishes. And so nice to have a good eatery so close to home, in Star.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Star! My fiancé and I always choose this as our go-to date night spot and have never left disappointed. Amazing staff, food, drinks, and atmosphere. I always recommend the pizza menu, but you really cannot go wrong! A lovely addition to the State Street options.

Ate there for the first time yesterday, and am blown away! We got the Margherita pizza, Brussel sprouts, chicken Alfredo and wings. Everything was top notch! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back to try more off the menu!

Three of us went to proof on a friday night and it was delicious. started off with bee keeper and gold rush for drinks, as well as the clams and chorizo. i’d say there were at least 12 clams and the sauce had some orange in it that we didn’t expect, as well as some fresh mint. they were not overally rich. order the fig get about it, short rib, and fried chicken. all of which we enjoyed. crust was awesome for the pizza. the short rib falls off the bone. the fried chicken was probably our favorite. the mashed potatoes served with both dishes were excellent with their parmesan twist.

Yesterday we had a party of 10 our server was excellent (service with a smile)!! Also she was training a girl she was pleasant as well. Food was wonderful !! Highly recommend…
