Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

The staff was super friendly and my gosh did they get our order ready quick as heck! I have always loved retro burger joints since like, forever! So I was pretty excited when I heard about Freddy's coming to a place near to me. I would say they do a lot better of things that other places don't, like how they cook and season their fries. Give them a try!!!

Being from Wisconsin and a huge Culver’s fan, I had to try Freddy’s in Machesney Park, IL
I ordered the double cheeseburger and fries.
Wow! what a surprise after reading the other reviews. The steak burger was excellent. Perfectly cooked and fresh. The shoestring fries were hot and salted perfectly as for the custard so much better then Culver’s. If you don’t believe try it. I will be going back again soon.

Food was great. Freoes are great.No kstchup on my burger but theuy have is on the side. ALL IN SLL WAS GREAT BUT 10 dollars plus tax is just greed. ThHis is a lot like syral and shake which i love but their combo come in aroud 4 dollars.Sorry but yhrre is too much compotion out there. Drop your prices and ill be back.

Got the grilled cheese steak burger and tots. They accidentally made a chocolate brownie delight and gave it to us for free. Everything was delicious. Thank you guys!

My grandson wanted to go here for his 18 Birthday 🥳 This was our first time here friendly people work here and the burgers were delicious 😋 definitely will be going back next time we go to visit him

When I first got here I got steak n shake vibes! BUT THATS NOT WHAT IT IS! yes they have steakburgers and "shoestring" fries, BUT the food was actually pretty good. I hate shoestring fries but a little jalapeno fry sauce and it was very good! (Hint add the jalapeno fry sauce to your burger!) FULL STAFF and friendly, well they weren't rude lol the young lady at the register seemed just there but everyone else was energetic and enthusiastic! IL definitely be back!

Very clean and fast service food cook to orders and made quick. Amazing ice cream also.

Freddy's was AMAZING when it was first opened, but it's going downhill. The double cheese burger was so overly seasoned with both salt and pepper, my adult daughter only took a couple bites. I tried a bite, I thought the very same thing. We waited to talk with the manager, who was at the drive-thru running it on his own. After waiting for 5 minutes to talk with him, I sat down. My daughter didn't want to wait around to complain, but I paid over $13. for her meal and am very upset. also, the fries were not salted.

Veteran owned and friendly. They recognize veterans and a free meal token was given on Veterans day. Food was fantastic along with service. This is my new lunch spot. Burger hangs over the bun, get your money's worth.

Best fries around and unlike the McDonald's down the street, they actually fill them more then half full. Burgers are great too. They did forgot something in my order the last time I went but when I went back they made it right. Even after that I still give them 5 stars.

Food is good service was slow the last 3 times there.

Staff was very friendly and caring. A member came over to our table to check on us and ask if we needed anything during our meal, which was unexpected but a pleasant surprise. Our food was ready within five minutes of ordering; we were still getting our drinks when they called our number! Everything tasted great to us (their ice cream is delicious!) and came out exactly as we ordered it. My family and I definitely plan to return in the future!

Our first time at Freddy's and our experience was great. We dined in and the food was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly as well and I thought the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Ok the wait in the drive up was at least 15 minutes but to be fair, I think they were short staffed. The food though was so worth the wait! The jalapeño burger was thin and crispy around the edges that made it so yummy! The fries were hot and fresh, not greasy at all. The whole meal was so delicious that it’s one of my favorites places to eat and they’ll see me again very soon.

My wife left a bad review but this is my story. Great burger and fries. Service was quick and the quality was the typical Freddy's way as I'm used to. My wife did order a burger with bacon but did not get any bacon. The restaurant did not make any amends, no refund. Great food but check to see if you get what you ordered.

Absolutely great food, we loved all the different options instead of regular fries, the toppings available for burgers were great also. Our concrete and sundaes were really good as well. Would definitely recommend to others. All the team members were very polite, friendly, and helpful. My family and I will be back.

I'm not sure what all these people are doing wrong that are having these terrible experiences but I've had nothing but positive to nuetral experiences and I've been here 4 times since it opened. As a transplant from Kansas I was very excited to have a taste of home in our back yard.

Yes the food is a little more pricey than a typical fast food place but it also tastes better so I'll bite that bullet.

For all of you saying you waited an hour+ when did you go???? I go at peak dinner hours (somewhere around 530 and 630) every time and the longest I waited was 30 minutes and that was the day after it had opened....

And then everyone saying "they forgot this they gave me this wrong" yeah that happens do you all not check your orders? And don't act like it's unique to Freddy's because the McDonald's across the street does the same all the time and nobody complains. But I've had no problem getting my order right every time thus far.

I think some of you just set your expectations way to high...
