La Chula Mobile

While this is at a gas station in no where Michigan I just say I was very impressed but the food we received. It came out in less than 5 minutes and was fresh. The meat was tender, the lettuce was crunchy and the flavor was on point.

Stopped at St. Julian Winery where I came across this mobile! Service was excellent and the tacos were super good! The meat was soft and delicious and the tortillas were also soft and warm! The green salsa was exactly how I liked it. As a Mexican, I approve!

Funny it's right next to Taco Bell and by far the better choice. Higher quality food, lower prices, and faster service. Can't beat it!

I was getting “tacos” from Taco Bell when I see this mobile food trailer parked in the parking lot next door. A week later taking my lunch I decided to try it, great decision!
I ordered two pork tacos and two pork tamales. On the taco order I was asked “American or Mexican style?” Obviously I answered “Mexican!” Now I eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants, I enjoy the small, authentic, mom & pop type places that generally have a family of women in the kitchen cooking. That being said, these are some of the best tacos I’ve had! Nothing fancy, just well seasoned meat topped with onion and cilantro and a lime wedge to squeeze on yourself. The corn tortillas, flour optional, were perfect with just a hint of crunch at the edges bringing a delicious layer of texture into each savory bite. I couldn’t put them down! Finishing off I moved on to the tamales. These were excellent as well, though not quite the same caliber as the tacos.
The overall value here was excellent! I got two tacos and two tamales for under ten bucks! That’s a better deal than I’ve had for lesser quality food. I had good service and the food came out fast despite being quite busy, there were about seven people there ordering and waiting on food, it was about five to seven minutes total wait. Better than the run for the border drive-through next door!
If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won’t regret it!
Also, there is apparently a sit down restaurant of the same name uptown. I expect good things, I’ll let you know...
Update: The restaurant in town IS as good if not better than the mobile. I tried it on a day the mobile was not in its usual place.

Wasn’t planning on getting dinner but saw this food truck and went for it. They pleasantly surprised me with some of their options: corn or flour tortillas, and even “Mexican” or “American” style tacos (I.e., cilantro and onion only or the works). Of course I got Mexican, steak and pork. Everything was delicious!

I don’t post often, but this ambitious food truck in what I imagine might be a tough area to thrive definitely merits your visit and support simply because they make great food.

Stopped to get gas and saw them from across the street. Got some delicious tacos, was a dollar cheaper than other trucks I've been too. Hopefully I will seen them again next time I pass by.

Originally there were plans to take photos to show off the meal I purchased, but I didn’t make it that far! You see this truck- walk up to it and get a taco.

After attempting Taco Bell next door (& having terrible service) we left and went into La Chula. It was fantastic! Between the four of us we had the chicken burrito, chorizo burrito, pork tacos and steak quesadilla. The salsas were fantastic and the food was perfect! Would definitely stop here again!

Awesome food glad it was parked next to taco bell!! Wish we had a place like this in Iowa!

Chorizo tacos were amazing! The salsas the came with the meal were so delicious. I had chips and guac which were good also.

Food was excellent. So good in fact, I went back the next evening. Wish I had stopped in sooner while I was working.
