V.eye.P. EyeCare

I am new to V.Eye.P Eyecare in Urbana and had a wonderful visit with Dr. Gertz. He was thorough and kind. He answered all my questions with enthusiasm and patience.

I enjoyed typing up my new patient info on their computer system versus having to write it down on paper.

Also, when I asked about checking eye pressure, Dr. Gertz used yellow eye drops instead of the dreaded machine that shoots air puffs in your eye. Much easier!

The front staff was also kind and laid back, including the gentleman who helped me decide on choosing my eyeglasses. I appreciated how up front he was on pricing and the different options I could choose for lenses, night glare, etc.

I would recommend the Urbana location to anyone!

Such a welcoming office! My sister and her family recommended V Eye P eye center and I’m happy they did.The doctors and front desk were all so friendly and professional. Dr. Kim did my exam today, and was so wonderful, friendly, professional and answered all of my questions. My exam went well and I had an overall excellent experience. Dr. Kim was amazing ! She was very thorough and efficient during my exam. She has a great chairside manner, and I was very comfortable during the examination. I cannot recommend this doctor enough. 5/5 stars

I scheduled an appointment as a new client. Upon arriving, I was shown the best, genuine hospitality. All the staff were very friendly and inviting. Anyone who provided information to me relayed it perfectly with no room for confusion. They were also very prompt for my appointment and taking care of me. Would highly recommend.

I made a last minute appointment because my left eye was red and painful. They were able to fit me in on a Saturday before my trip. I came in earlier and was seated promptly. Dr. Gertz was welcoming, very professional and knowledgeable. He was very concerned about my eye and wanted me to see an specialist right away. Since I was going out of town, he prescribed eye drops to get me out of discomfort and after 3-4 days my eye felt much better. I went back to Dr. Gertz for a full eye exam and the visit was quick and informative. I would highly recommend V Eye P Eye Care. Everyone was nice and I didn't mind paying out of pocket since they did not participate with my insurance.

I started going to V. Eye P. Eyecare in 2017 when I found rimless glasses that no one else carried. My eye care insurance was honored and because they are an independent shop, I got a much better discount there than I did at a previous national optical shop. The quality of the frames is far superior to the discount place and the service is so much more personal. Recently I lost a piece to my glasses and they mailed me a replacement part quickly at no charge. Michael and Rose, thank you for your great service and products!

Just had a first visit with Dr. Gertz in Urbana. He and the entire staff are absolutely amazing!!!! The camaraderie among the staff was that of a family. Dr. Gertz did all of the testing himself and was very thorough in explaining step by step what he was doing as well as the reason why. They were not pushy at all as far as trying to sell me products. They were upfront about testing I would need to pay out of pocket for as well. It was such a great experience from start to finish. 

Literally the best experience I have ever had at the eye doctor. The entire staff is kind, and willing to help, and the doctor couldn't have been kinder. He took his time to explain what was going on and how my prescription was affected by the structure of my eye. I will always be coming back to this office!

Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I went in to get tested for contacts and new glasses. Very professional. The eye doctor was very personable and took the time to explain to me everything about my vision and the shape of my cornea etc. I transitioned here from “My Eye Doctor” and I much prefer this place.

Dr Gertz is an outstanding provider! His staff is extremely knowledgeable with one of a kind service. They are truly a team of exceptional professionals. Could not be more happy with my choice.

I look for frames that are light, well-fitting and stylish which is no small task. Michael did an outstanding job helping me throughout the whole process from picking out glasses, advising on the proper lenses, communicating and answering numerous questions I had. Far exceeded my expectations. Will get all my eyewear needs from V.eye. P EyeCare in the future.

Prompt scheduling; I was seen quickly; welcomed in; all staff were friendly; wide selection of frames (price, material, and style); Dr was clear, answered questions, explained testing; and discount made the final bill acceptable.

It’s always easy to get a appointment and everyone there is so nice. They always help you with any questions. It’s always clean there.
And my kids and mom go there too they feel the same as I do !

I love this place!! I switched from another local optometrist and I can finally see again. My prescription had been wrong for years and the optometrist here finally made it so I could see far away and closeup!! Finally, no more squinting 😍

Wow! Dr Gertz is great! Really took the time to explain all my options, that I had no idea were even out there! I'm really grateful this place was recommended to me by my insurance!!!
