The Inn At Rye Place

Really can't say enough good things about this place. Planning a 2 night stay in the area for a funeral, we were looking for 2 rooms... clean, quiet, and conveniently located. The Inn at Rye Place was perfect in every way. Easy to book, great communication, and extremely accommodating. We had some travel & logistics issues on our way to NH. The staff was very understanding and helpful. Every person we met there, from the housekeeping staff, the office staff, to the owner, was friendly and kind. I generally don't give reviews, but our stay was so positive and refreshing, I was compelled to leave one. If you're looking for a place to stay in the Hampton, Rye, Portsmouth area, this is it! All of the 5-star reviews you see here are accurate!

We've travelled halfway across the country and back again, and The Inn At Rye Place was the cleanest accommodations we encountered. The room was well set up with a little eating area and a bath (always nice for kids). We had to pay a $60 fee for our dog, but that is normal for the area. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We had a late dinner from the Southport restaurant around the corner in the same premises (the food was great!). Rye Beach public access is an 8 min drive from the Inn. We would highly recommend The Inn At Rye Place and we'd stay there again without hesitation.

The Inn at Rye Place is a hidden gem. Spotless rooms, comfy beds and all the necessities one could want. Fran was able to book us rooms beside each other for our family to enjoy. Modern rooms with a touch of the past being able to drive up and park next to your room was great! Breakfast was excellent each morning! Love the personal attention we got!

My wife and I just spent a week at The Inn at Rye Place while visiting some of our snowbird friends. This place is a hidden gem! The rooms were completely refurbished a few years ago and are immaculately clean and quiet. The service was excellent and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The next time we are in the area we will definitely stay here.

Such a beautiful hotel which allows your pets. Our room was incredible, hardwood-look tile floor, large walk-in shower with high end fixtures, large TV with every channel, the beds were incredibly comfortable and made/dressed with very high quality sheets, comforter and the pillows were outstanding (I took off the pillow cover and pillowcase to see the brand - FYI, owner uses Marriott Hotel products). Staff was fantastic, housekeeping extremely responsive. Nice area to walk your dog(s), with fire pits to enjoy a fire. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back! FYI, I bought two of the pillows!

The inn has a cute, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Jessica was very friendly and attentive. Beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The beach is just a short drive away. I highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Location is perfect, immaculately clean, staff is very kind and responsive and the free breakfast is great. A huge bonus is the restaurant next to the place which is superb-excellence all around. Will definitely stay again.

This Inn is spotless and well designed with the most comfortable bed I ever slept on

Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Friendly staff and central location to Hampton Beach/Portsmouth and not too far from Boston. I will be staying here again and have recommended to others who travel the area.

Nicest place we stayed on our trip through New England. My partner and I just did a trip to see the Fall leaves, driving from Montreal to Boston. We stayed at all kinds of places and found the Inn at Rye randomly but glad we did. They recently redid the place and the beds were top notch, the room clean and fresh, nice places to sit outside.

It looks like it was a simple motor lodge that they really made nice. I would highly recommend it. I also met one of the owners Joe and you could tell he really cares about quality and making a great experience for guests.

Thankful to have found this gem on our travels through the Northeast. We enjoyed it so much that we actually backtracked, after some sightseeing in Boston, just to know we'd be spending the night in a safe and clean place. Our kids enjoyed the games out back and the beds were so comfortable. The free breakfast was nice! Everyone we encountered during our stay was great. Thanks so much!!

The property was well maintained and well designed. There were shelves and hooks and small details everywhere. Our room was well designed and thought out by someone who clearly cared about guests having a comfortable stay.

The staff went above and beyond to help us when we left the parking lights on overnight on our rental car. One staff member loaned us a jumper battery from her car to jump start our rental vehicle. When that didn’t work, another staff member went home to get jumper cables and we successfully jump started the car the old fashioned way. This was service above and beyond what I would have ever expected. I’m so happy we stayed at the Inn at Rye Place.

Several years ago, my sister and I stayed at the Rosewood Inn at Rye, which was comfortable but a little dated. When we recently planned another visit to Portsmouth, we looked it up, only to learn it had a new name and was under new management. We went ahead & booked it and were delighted by the changes. The rooms have been completely modernized and decorated so beautifully. There is new and attractive landscaping, with firepits and outdoor seating areas. It has a brand new laundry room, with washer/dryer, and vending and ice machines. Everything is impeccably maintained.

An added bonus are the delicious grab n' go breakfast options at the office. Finally, the front desk staff was always so friendly and helpful -- shout out to Fran!

A wonderful place to stay while we explored the NH coast. We hope to come back for a fall visit, and will definitely be staying at the Inn at Rye Place! Highly recommend!

We can’t say enough about this hotel and it’s staff. We took a chance on it based on photos from their website and a few reviews we read…but you know how that goes sometimes. This is NOT one of those times. Trust me. We were greeted by Howie (one of the co-owners) at check-in and were immediately impressed by his story of buying and re-building this hotel during Covid. The place is brand new inside and out…and it’s gorgeous! The cleanliness is second to none and it’s close to everything you want on a vacation…beaches, shopping, and great seafood restaurants. We highly recommend The Inn at Rye Place!

I was visiting my daughter at UNH and stayed here because it was reasonably priced and not too far from campus. I was more than pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to find a beautifully decorated room that was clean and spacious. Every detail was updated and the wallpaper accent wall was a work of art! I had a chance to meet the owner who was kind and lovely to talk to. Hearing about the effort put in to styling and renovating the property made me appreciate it even more. The owners are artists and craftsmen and it shows in the details! Excellent find!

We stayed at this property for a week and were very pleased. Completely renovated, clean and quiet. Great access to the beaches, Hampton and Portsmouth. Owners were super nice and accommodating. We will definitely stay at The Inn At Rye Place again.

I am so glad we stayed here! The rooms were spacious and clean. Everything was updated and well cared for, including the grounds. The location is great there are many restaurants around and it is a short drive to the beach and state parks. We will definitely be staying here again!!

My family and I stayed at The Inn at Rye Place this weekend, it was a fantastic stay! Fran was super kind and accommodating to us and even got us ice, the wifi password etc. They made sure if we had any necessities to let them know and they would help us achieve those needs. They were talking about how the inn was rated best new motel in the area and I 100% second that statement. Its a great little hidden gem nearby to popular places such as Lagoes Ice Cream and Al's. The grab and go breakfast was simple. Super quiet and clean stay for a great price. 5 stars!
