The Frozen Pelican

I've been there 3 times and its been awesome good food, milk shakes are to die for ( and this is coming from an owner of a past ice cream restaurant called Bruster's)

I stayed at an Airbnb on lake Santa Fe for a few days, and had to stop in at the Pelican every day to get a shaved ice sno cone. They are a fantastic summer treat! I also tried the onion rings, which were homemade and delicious. I highly recommend this local spot— the quality of their food is phenomenal!

Enjoyed a pick-up order from this new establishment. This time, we had burgers, which were mighty tasty. The ice y was refreshing on a hot Florida day. Wishing you continued success.

We ordered for the family from this place for the first time of many to come. We ordered an array of food and must say it was all very good. My husband and I believe this place to be the best food in Melrose. There are several restaurants in Melrose but we wouldn't recommend any but The Frozen Pelican to anyone.

We look forward to going and eating at Frozen Pelican. We always enjoy the food and feel at home. We have happy feelings there. Highly recommend.

My granddaughter and I went in for the first time today and the cashier said it was going to be about a 30-minute wait. I said that we were just wanting to get a hot dog so we weren't going to wait that long and she said if you want just a hot dog and no fries I can have that in 5 to 10 minutes, so we got them to go. Their least busy time is 2-4. We'll go back, sit inside with the fries and get ice cream next time 😄

We love the frozen pelican! The whole menu is terrific. I've had hotdogs, Philly cheese Steaks, smash burgers and much more. My grands love the ice cream and shaved ice. A wonderful addition to Melrose. We look forward to many years of great food and service.

Came here to have dinner with the family each of us had something different and all of it was sooo good. Such a cute little place will definitely come back again.

If you're anywhere near Melrose, you owe it to yourself to drop by The Frozen Pelican. It's a classic mom-n-pop comfort food lunch (& dinner) counter.

The shaved ice is great. The hot dog selection is terrific. The burgers are some of the best around. On top of all that, the service (i.e., the people) is just top-notch. Nothing disappoints.

The best burgers around. And the Parmesan fries are amazing. Great owners and staff. Worth the trip to Melrose, even if you live in Gainesville, Palatka, Starke, etc.

This place is just what Melrose needed. My wife got "The Mango Tornado" shaved ice and it was the best shaved ice we have ever had. I am a bit of a hot dog fanatic and I sampled 3 of the specialty Hot dogs. They were all amazing, especially the Chicago style one! We will be frequent flyers to this place and look forward to the growing menu.
