The Edison Pub and Eatery

Got the Airline Chicken for lunch and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and covered in a really tasty sage sauce. It had a side of mashed potatoes and green beans, which complimented the chicken really well.

I particularly liked how the restaurant was lit up with many yellow lightbulbs, it created a relaxing and cozy atmosphere.

Staff was prompt and friendly. We were seated in a booth which was in a little cozy nook, and really cut down on the noise level so we could all converse comfortably. Kitchen was very accommodating to special requests. And the food was tasty-- everyone was pleased. I had the airline chicken which was savory with a creamy sauce, loads of veggies which were nicely seasoned. Daughter had the Mac & cheese and loved it. Mom had the jambalaya pasta, really enjoyed the flavor and will get at least one more meal out of the leftovers. Remainder of our party had the grilled pork tenderloin, and Philly steak sandwich. Excellent all around --staff, food, environment.

A college graduation party was made extra special by the Edison staff from the owner to wait staff and all others. Thank you all for making our grandson's celebration perfect.

Great food and staff! I had one of the nightly specials, lamb shank, and it was great. Wife had the Cioppino and loved it. Service was outstanding! A+!

THE FOOD WAS HEAVENLY!!!😋😋😋 Prime Rib W/Seasoned Mixed Veggies, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, And Pita Bread Slices With Artichoke Spinach Dip As An Appetizer...YUM! YUM! My Signature Drink Was "The Mimeograph" It Was DELICIOUS Too!!! Service Was GREAT And ON POINT!!! VERY NICE People And Ambience!!!😍😍😍 If You Haven't Tried It, You Must Go!!! This place is amazing! The food is so good! The staff is very nice and friendly I ordered the chicken tenders with fries and the loaded tots everything was very good! The portions are big so was able to save half of my food for lunch meals for a couple days! I highly recommend checking this place out you won't be disappointed! I'm telling my family and friends about this place and to give them a try !

We had the sesame chicken salad and boneless ribeye meal, followed by the lightest chocolate lava cake I've ever had... Yum! The salad had a light citrus dressing, that came on the side, a large amount of sliced chicken, and the perfect amount of Mandarin slices and other toppings, along with two pieces of what tasted like homemade bread. Every part was tasty and filling. The boneless ribeye was tasty, the potatoes were deliciously homemade, and the seasoned veggies were tender.
The various staff checked in on us to make sure we were happy with everything. I also loved the witty watt puns on their shirts.

This was an absolutely perfect place for a fairly quiet, low stress date to try somewhere new.

I was pleasantly surprised by the home-cooked feeling when eating the brisket sandwich, which marked all of the boxes like tender and juicy. The bun was not soggy at all, so I would give it a 9/10 for that alone.

My girlfriend got the Mac and cheese which was great, but she liked, but I can't vouch since I didn't try it.

But the 10/10 moment was when the caramel brulee came to the table and we got the satisfying "crack" on the top, and it was a treat worth go again for.

First local restaurant my wife and I visited after moving to Cedar Rapids. We were so impressed with the service from every staff member. Hostess was busy so the manager Sonja seated us. Waiter Kassidy was helpful and great personality. Server Desi had only been working 3 days but was fast and a sweetheart. Food was delicious and drinks were fantastic!! Def hoping back!!!

Our waitress, Riley, did a fantastic job on our visit. She was attentive, friendly, and diligent; excellent qualities for anyone in and out of customer service.

The food was impressive. One of the Thursday specials was the Beer Battered Cod. Their tartar sauce is freshly made, an excellent complement to the crispy yet moist fish. You get a generous portion for your main course and plenty of french fries (if you choose them as your side). The lemon wedges can help enhance the fish’s flavor even more.

Their fries were perfectly crispy (golden brown, no less) and seasoned. None of them were dry or limp. Also, their cole slaw had a tangy dressing that I found delicious. It also helped that the slaw wasn’t overloaded with said dressing.

In my eyes, Edison’s set the bar high for fish and chips and I’ll have no problem returning for another meal.

Like a lot of other reviews say "you have to try the bacon wrapped dates" I would have never ordered this. Except for the other reviews and they are fantastic!

8 of us had our luncheon there. We thought the food was terrific and with generous portions. The service was great.

Huge seating area throughout the 3 dining areas, the bar and the outside patio. The decor is phenomenal and one of a kind. The staff is welcoming and very pleasant to be around. They definitely want you to have a nice warming experience. The owners are amazing and accommodating to all situations, they also are very in tune with the customers and their wants and needs. They enjoy giving that personal warming experience by checking in to make sure you’re getting the best service possible as well as feedback to make the experience even better for the next visit. When it comes to the food, it’s amazing. My favorite is the airline chicken and mashed potatoes. The flavor is definitely there and the potatoes are homemade with are the best kind in my opinion. The Mac and cheese was fantastic my son is a picky eater and he’s very selective about his food but he couldn’t get enough of it! I love supporting small/family owned businesses and this is definitely a place to come check out for the full experience.

Went here for a bite a beer and some talk with a friend. Nice place. Got there after happy hour and closed it down. I think they closed about 9pm on a Friday but maybe pub not bar so closing earlier.
Anyway liked the food. I had "The Grinder" I assume named for the sausage (ground) and ground beef. The sauce was very good. Smothered in melted cheese mmmm. I had the baked potato with butter and sour cream. Also good.
I had the 24oz Tip The Cow. Mmm nice and dark. That went well with the heavier meat and potatoes.
Friend had already eaten so he just had a creme brulee. That's actually really cool in my opinion that a "pub" serves something unique like creme brulee. He had an angry orchard.
Good time good food. Friendly waitress.

There was a group of 10 of us in there the other day and the service was fantastic!

She attended to us superbly and the food was delicious.

To start, this is just a good looking establishment, inside and out. The decor is a nice little tribute to Thomas Edison. The staff, all the staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The food was good. Good comfort food, especially on a chilly evening.
