Used to live in Cary, now live in Apex. Apex's utility game is STRONG. Customer service is great. Love their updates that they email as well. very impressed. I don't understand how they don't have more 5 stars...

Great customer service! We had just moved and needed services started asap. It was easy to get real people on the phone and they were eager to do all they could to help us. The online application was intuitive to complete and easy to find. They took the time to follow up with me via phone and got our services started same day.

Great experience! Real people ready to answer questions and help people. The town hall building is nice, there are some COVID-19 updates. There's a temp scanner and hand sanitizers on the way in. Loads of stickers on the floor at 6' intervals. Masks required.

I was in and out quickly, and the employees answered all my questions!

Regarding bill overcharges: Just spent 32 minutes on hold, finally got to number one in the cue, and . . . The call got disconnected! Next day I showed up at Town Hall, spoke to a very polite woman who patiently explained why the bill was inflated. Hence the 3 star cumulative review.

The town of apex back in the early 90s when websites were just becoming a tool created this website and left it lingering back in a time warp. They really need to update this site. Especially for mobile users but more importantly to get into the next century. When I moved apartments in December I disconnected my old service and opened a new account. Only problem is they never actually disconnected it. So I kept getting billed. Then claimed they had no record even though I went through all the steps on their early 90s website. The customer service is so poor and lacking I had to talk to a supervisor. They really need to get with the times and update their sites and their employees customer service skills or lack there of. And I barely even use maybe $22 Dollars worth of water but my bill is almost $45 with their overpriced sewer charge.

The portal is non existent, all of a sudden it wont' let me login to my account, tried everything even recreating a new account, even then it says that my account could nto be verified been trying to contact their office to no avail. What now? They better not show up and disconnect my service due to their incompetence or I'll sue the daylight out of them!

Since the Cyber Attack they have been using your bills from last year to define what you pay this year for the months of July and August. They are making people pay extreme bill prices with no form of change. They are making people seem like they are crazy for their Miss handling of your money. The meters couldn’t even be read properly during the attack. Yet they are still making Apex residents pay a high bill. The elderly and disabled are having their lights cut off. The Town is doing nothing to fix the problem. They jacked everyone’s bill up in Apex. To make up for a cyber attack that nobody has talked about since. Not even the News. The Town of Apex are Criminals too. They have made an Attack on the Residents with the up charge of our bills. The Government isn’t doing anything about. Why because We are a small town!! We work too!! The Town’s Electric Service are Cyber Bullies!!!

Power went out 4 days before our payment is due and they chose to cut the power on the hottest day of the year on a Sunday when they’re closed and have no way of contacting the Town of Apex. Keep in mind that the household has 3 elderly residents here. Tried calling but no answer then tried calling the emergency outage number but nothing.

After 12 months of service suddenly the Town of apex took it upon themselves and created a second account without our authorization and had been double billing us for services. Then on the coldest day of the year decided to shut off our services which means no heat for not paying on the SECOND account.

The website really needs to be updates, it feels like it's 20+ years old, customer service attitude is not the best also. I don't have problem the services but I always have issues with their website when having to make payments or check something.

The lady who answers the phone does not even have the mental capacity to explain unreasonable and drastic fluctuations in my electric bill. Like a typical government employee, she tried to pass my problems off and actually just hung up the phone. There is no recourse to solve a problem with this department since the customer service representative will hang up on you when she is prompted to actually do her job. Absolute joke...

Poor website design, poor customer service, poor billing service (sewer charges questionable), apex utilities charges water bill more than Durham county, a lot higher. Payment system also poor. Poorly managed and can’t be synced with Arcadia powers to track better utility usage and save money.
