Duke Urgent Care Cary

I was hit by a car while on my bike ~ noontime on Sunday which resulted in bad abrasions on my left arm and knee and both shoulders and arms got so stiff and sore that I could not lift either hand above my chin. After a couple days of frustration trying to be seen elsewhere I checked again for urgent care near me and decided to try the Morrisville Urgent Care facility. Honestly I was already frustrated and prepared for a bad experience based on the some of the negative reviews I had read here but I was in a lot of pain and needed to understand what might be wrong.

However my experience was the best I could have imagined. The receptionist was attentive and efficient. She told me the wait was 20 minutes and that was accurate. The nurses, PA and XRay technician who did the assessment and provided care were all excellent. They were attentive to the details of my history (and I was till pretty shook up so probably overly talkative) did a thorough physical exam, and x-rays of both shoulders and elbow. Initially the order was only for an X-ray of the left shoulder and elbow but when I reminded the technician that my right shoulder was hurting too she immediately communicated that to the PA who changed the order.
The explanation of the results (all negative gratefully) and directions regarding the possible follow up with an Orthopedist were articulated clearly and patiently. I left feeling much better about everything.

Furthermore , at the first visit, because I had already applied bandages to the abrasions on my left forearm I forgot to ask them to check it out. But when I took the bandages off after a shower the next day it looked bad and hurt a lot. So I made an afternoon appointment, was seen promptly when I got there and received the same excellent care. They cleaned and dressed the wound gently but thoroughly and provided some materials and clear instructions on how to repeat the process at home for the next couple of days.
I won't hesitate to return to the Morrisville Duke Urgent Care facility in the future.

Duke Urgent Care Green Level is the best place when you need urgent care. I had 2 experience’s in one week! First I filleted my finger with a bread knife, and my family was worried the receptionist was very sweet and helpful. The nurse was very professional and took time to understand me… DUC staff are all so kind, helpful, and understanding. My second visit was to receive care for Covid, and again different staff, same high quality of treatment and care. I recommend you to seek help when needed at this location! Thank you all at DUC, I appreciate the doctor, who took time to understand my condition and need for medical attention. X2

Great experience at Duke urgent care this morning. I arrived just before 8:30 and had a short wait time. Every team member was polite, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.

Myself, my husband and my son all have been to the Duke Urgent Care Green Level within the past two weeks and have received excellent care. I didn't even realize I had wheezing/chest rattle but the PA caught it, ordered an x-ray and low and behold, I had walking pneumonia. Son was tested for both Covid and Flu and the triage nurse was very gentle and kind. Everyone from the receptionist to the cray tech to the NPs and PAs are great! Very minimal wait time also. I highly recommend Duke Urgent Care Green Level.

Dr pickle was really nice. I took my brother their for ear infection and ear wax removal she was so nice and gentle with my brother. Their was a RN too who helped us and he was so nice to us and helpful. Dr pickle cleaned my brother ear so well and she was so gentle to take it out and my brother is feeling so much better now. I would recommend to go duke all the time

My 10yr old broke his arm in a bicycle speed-test on a Sunday evening and we were luck to find this place open (vs an ER). The entire experience from checkin to having a splint on, incl. them making an Ortho appointment was pleasant. The radiologist and the attending physician were really nice & caring with the kid. This place is a gift to parents on a weekend. There was a bit of wait time, but I understand the nurses, radiologists and the physician did their best. Imaging being at the ER instead!!

I am not sure about the poor reviews but I had good experience multiple times I have visited here. The front staff and nurse , doctor and technicians have been very nice and professional. Sometimes the wait times can be more but infrastructure is good and brand new.

I have had the unfortunate luck to have to visit this UC twice this year. Both times I was very sick. After IV fluids and labs I was sent home with the meds I needed. I saw Dr Picone my last visit and she even took the time to call around and find a pharmacy to send me to in order to pickup my medications! And this was almost 9pm. My nurse Brittany was wonderful! Great IV skills and super friendly, empathetic personality! I waited less then 20 minutes and the place was packed. If your wait time was long? Then you must not have had an “Urgent” need. Not saying they ignore others, but if you have a true urgent need you will not have to wait long and they will take excellent care of you! Thanks to all of you!! This urgent care is serving our community well.

I was in and out in 90 minutes with excellent care from everyone. I expect to wait in urgent care as they have to triage the sick people who walk in. From what I observed in this facility they moved as fast as possible and were aware of wait times. My situation was an uncomplicated earache that required a minor procedure. Beats the heck out of going to an ER.

I came here for Mastitis. The dr (Julie) and nurses have been amazing!!! The wait was less than 10 minutes and the Dr has been so supportive and helpful. I’m an emotional wreck from just having a baby, no sleep and an infection. Best place ever to have to come if you need care after hours.

My daughter got a fishing hook caught in her finger, this was the closest place we could get to in an emergency. The staff went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and reassure this worried mom that all would be ok. From the time we checked in to the time we were walking out the door we were there all of 35 mins! John at the front desk was super kind, friendly and comforting. If we are ever in another emergency situation, we will definitely be going to Duke Urgent Care.

My regular doctors couldn't see me so I went to Urgent Care, dreading visiting a high density practice in the era of COVID. I had no need to worry! I was stopped and screened at the door, and anyone with COVID symptoms were being directed outside to their tent set up so the risk was nil inside. I was put into a room immediately and was seen within minutes. Everyone had on full PPE. My nurse was excellent (I've never had such a quick and painless blood draw in my life) and sympathetic to my issues. Dr. Geeta was amazing. She went over each of my symptoms thoroughly and investigated the causes of each one by one, really going above and beyond to diagnose my complaints and address my concerns. She involved my preferences in the options for treatments plans and prescribed antibiotics individually suited to me. THIS IS HOW MEDICINE SHOULD BE EVERYWHERE!!!! I am so grateful to have seen them yesterday. I wish they could be my GP team, but it is good knowing they are there for me if I need them.

Great level of service. Offered xrays, blood work, and a urine test. They were very friendly and I was very comfortable with their care. They did a covid screen for those that view it as relevant. They have a my chart system which is nice. Convenient location near 540.

I strongly recommend this place! The front desk staff are so nice/ caring and patient. The nurse that saw me was very nice and concerned and help me the best way she can. The doctor was very nice and informative and clear and helpful

Was in and out fairly quicky, but didn't feel like they were rushing me through. Everyone was super friendly, and took time to listen to everything I said. I felt like they really cared about me, and I wasn't treated like a "number". I feel I received excellent care here, and I had zero problems with the staff or treatment I received.

I have gone here a few times and everyone is so good and professional. The last time I went to this urgent care they even set me up with an appointment with a health care provider since I did not have one (right across the hall). I was impressed! They truly care about their patients

I was so grateful for the kind compassionate care I received here. From the check in staff, the nurse and Dr. Evans everyone was kind and patient and very helpful.

I highly recommend Evan Ferry, FNP-C, as a provider at the Duke Urgent Care-Morrisville Facility! He was very prompt and thorough with a follow up visit on this evening. Evan is an awesome asset ! The nursing staff was very accommodating as well!

Always receive great care here whether myself or my kids. The staff is friendly and the doctors truly care rather than some urgent cares. Also, I feel like the facility is always very clean.
