Noelridge Playground

One of the highlights of late summer is the Noelridge garden. We don't use the playground that is nearby and looks like fun from a distance. Our focus is the garden. It's very crisply and professionally planted and mulched by master gardeners and volunteers. The array of colors, textures, Foliage in both annuals and perennials is carefully and creatively executed. Our area has plenty of country gardens and lovely natural spaces that highlight prairies and meadows but this is one of the few remaining composed and well maintained public gardens. I would also point to the gorgeous Brucemore mansion garden, which was decimated by the derecho 4 years ago and has bravely started the long climb back to It's former beauty.
The Noelridge garden annuals display is planted quite late n the season, near the fourth of July. While this may seem like a lost opportunity to enjoy the full garden glory of summer it does provide the bonus of enjoying the lovely colorful plantings well into the fall when other gardens are fading.
There is a master gardener test plot. A butterfly habitat and a green house open to the public at specific hours.
The truly beautiful mural that is painted on the green house/utility building is worth a visit to itself.

Rented the pavilion for my granddaughters Birthday Party and invited her class. It was super nice and breezy. The kids played at the playground while the adults cooked up the hotdogs! Add chips cupcakes a pinata and you got a party!

Good place to go with the family. My kids love this place for some reason. It also has a dinning area for family events. Public restrooms, drinking fountain, paved trails too! The purple ish photos were taken after the Derecho hit in 2020. The sky was that color. I did not edit any of the photos.

What a beautiful place. The flowers are bloomed and grass well cut. Geese a flying and children a playing. We so glad to have stopped by. Cedar Rapids is a beautiful place.

Great playground nestled inside Noelridge Park. It’s Variety Star accessible where kids of different abilities can enjoy the equipment. Easy sloped and extra wide ramps allow wheel chairs and aides plenty of room. There’s even a swing for wheel chairs or those who would rather sit more comfortably. Highly recommended for all kids.

This park is actually absolutely gorgeous. The playground has something for everyone. People with disabilities are able to use this playground. I love the thought that went into this park

This is a great park. It is handicap accessible, has play equipment that is in very good repair, is open and spacious, and has a great walking path.

My grandsons love this playground. It is handicap accessible and has a variety of learning toys built in. The restrooms are well maintained and close to the playground which is always a plus. There is a pavillion with plenty of picnic tables for a quick snack break or picnic lunch.

Nice sized playground. Usually plenty of other kids to entertain other kids. Playground is very adult friendly so you can tag along or just be close for the little ones.

Love Noleridge park. Walking trail, playground, flower garden, Pond, splash pad across the street. My dogs favorite park.

Noel ridge is a Great place!!! Walking trail, playground lots of green space for picnic 🧺, meditation, Pool and Garden Area for viewing.
Also diamonds and tennis court for recreational fun

Great playground! Recycled tire base so no mud. Handicap accessible playground. They've added bathrooms!

Perfect place to take the kids to run off some energy

Noelridge is always a awesome park to go to they have a playground they have a pool they also have this nice garden center, it’s just awesome 🤩 I recommend Noelridge park

It's always so amazing people are friendly kids are kind everybody stays to themselves but altogether with random fun

Beautiful park, clean, well maintained and a breathe of fresh air.

Great playground. The city needs to update the rest of the playgrounds at all the other parks.
