Walgreen's has the pharmacy contract with TriCare, and given the large presence of citizens in the local vacinity affiliated with Fort Hood, it puts extra pressure on this location. An additional Walgreen's is being built on Adams aka 2305 near the Walmart in Temple, and perhaps that will help. Right now, I rate this Walgreen's with 3 of 5 stars, because they have not handled the extra volume of pharmacy customers very well. It's not horrible, but there is almost always an extended wait and for the entire time they have held the TriCare pharmacy contract there have been issues. Walgreen's has a good location, and for some reason they have failed to keep the second pharmacy drive-thru lane open. Inside the store, shelves are usually well stocked, and they function well as a convenience store photo shop, and package shipper. For all they achieve inside the store, it is overshadowed by frustration with the poor operation of the pharmacy.
