I was very impressed with Dr Owen, he is a very nice and thorough Doctor, I went in a wheelchair because I couldn’t walk due to knee pain, I had already had one X-ray & was told my knee was bone to bone, but more X-rays were taken at SportsMED and Dr. Owen looked at the X-rays and told me that surgery was a last resort & didn’t think that was necessary right now, which was a relief to me. He gave me a steroid shot in my knee and got me a knee brace, what a difference that made, I was walking with no problem before I left, and what a difference it was when I got out of bed this morning with no pain. I will gladly recommend Dr. Owen to anyone who is having problems

I had a fantastic experience at the sports medicine orthopedic appointment. Dr. Owen and the staff were all highly professional. Dr. Owen made me feel safe and well-informed throughout the appointment. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit.

Went in for a consultation, and x-rays, to get a better idea of shoulder condition. Was very pleased with all the staff and Dr. Owen. Everyone one was very accommodating and friendly. Dr. Owen went over all my options and procedures that would be involved when I decided on a time for my shoulder surgery. Very well pleased with the whole experience.

I’m new to the Huntsville area and I brought my knee issues with me. After a recent episode, my GP suggested a visit to SportsMED. Dr. Owen and his staff were great. Often, in a new setting you can feel alone and unimportant when seeking medical advice, that wasn’t the case this time. Excellent experience. I’ve seen Dr. Matthew Owen multiple times for different injuries. He patiently listens to my concerns, answers my questions, gives me treatment options to choose from and respects my decisions. Staff are very polite and helpful and I’m never kept waiting for more than 15 minutes. I highly recommend him.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr Owens is a 5 star doctor who surrounds himself with the best support staff.

Dr. Owen was on time for my appointment. He greeted me and explained why I was there. After reviewing my medical record and x-rays (taken just prior to seeing Dr. Owen) he determined that my right shoulder was not a contributing factor in my current medical complaint. He was appropriately cheerful, friendly and very professional. It was a good experience seeing Dr. Owen and I would recommend him to a friend or family member that needed his expertise.

Dr Owen's was great. He explained everything from my tests. He discussed my options thoroughly. Generally concerned.

New to the area, and have been most pleased to find SportsMed! My Mom, Dad, and I have all received care there for various matters.
Love Dr. Owen! He is kind, friendly, and has allloc the attributes one might hope to find in a good doctor. Great staff, too.

I was called back right at my appt time, seen promptly by Dr Owen. He reviewed my X-rays and explained to me what was going on in my knee. Gave me options and made his recommendation. I opted to have my knee drained/aspirated. During the procedure he chatted with me which was nice. (I was nervous) It was over quickly and most importantly - painlessly!

X-ray technicians were organized and quick. Nurse who came in before the doctor was very nice and helpful.

Highly recommend Dr Owen and team for any knee problems.

Dr. Owen helped me with my shoulder a couple of years ago. He also noticed at the time that I had a bad back & recommended me to Dr. Reto. Now I'm seeing Dr. Owen for my knee issues. Would highly recommend him to anyone who asks me for a GREAT shoulder & knee orthopedic specialist!!

My experience was great. I had shoulder surgery and every thing went well. Dr. Owens did an awesome job!!

Called one day ,had an appointment the next morning,he x-ray the problem and gave me a shot ,wouldn't choose any other doctor ,dr.owen is the best

Very professional and very nice, the only down side is the doctor that he recommended for my xray shot is not prompt with scheduling..
