Somerset at Madison Apartments

My husband, son and I have here for a year and couldn't be happier. The office staff is so nice and always willing to do anything for us. They host so many events all throughout the year to show their residents appreciation. The grounds are always maintained and are beautiful. Maintenance is always helpful and get things taken care of. We love taking family walks to enjoy our neighborhood and the amenities. They have an amazing gym and grilling area which they have really made state of the art! Our location being near Huntsville airport is no issue because you can't hear the planes when you're inside. I've lived in many apartments in my life and this is by far the best. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My fiancé and I just moved in a few days ago and we love it so far! Dani was very helpful with everything and super nice! She made us feel very welcome and gave us a ton of information on the apartments so we had no questions about anything! The apartment is beautiful and clean and they were sure to tell us to let them know if anything doesn’t work. The community is also gorgeous; we live a few steps down from the beautiful lake and we’re loving it!!

Management has been a pleasure dealing with, maintenance requests are handled efficiently, grounds are immaculate, and communication is A+. Very happy with my move into Somerset.

I have lived here nearly 7 years and love it! It is quiet and peaceful and they keep the property beautifully maintained. The office staff is wonderful; they are all friendly and eager to help in any way possible in order to make living here pleasant. Maintenance is done promptly. What more could an apartment dweller ask for!

Quiet and family friendly environment. Well taken care of apartments. Very clean community areas. Everyone at the leasing office has been so kind and helpful! Maintenance also responds quickly. A really awesome place to live to live in Huntsville.

This is our first time living in Alabama and we are really happy that we chose Somerset. When we moved into our apartment(March 2022) , we found several things that were broken. A door hinge and a couple of odds and ends that needed to be cleaned up. Management has been so nice! They have promptly taken care of the issues and have been very professional. They didn't ask me to write this, but I have been amazed at how they have treated us, so I had to say something. On top of everything mentioned we have friendly neighbors. It feels clean and safe. A big thanks to Somerset Management for making this place home!

It’s a really great complex overall. The grounds are beautiful; common areas and pool are kept up well and look really nice. There is a laundry room - but most units have their own hooks ups if you want to rent a washer and dryer. Staff is super friendly and effective. I usually submit a request online and they come and fix the issue within a reasonable time frame - quicker if it’s more urgent. Somerset has easily been one of the best places I have rented from - and I have lived in other parts of the country for those wondering about the comparison.

We’ve lived at Somerset for over a year and have had a great experience! I always feel safe, and the office staff is very responsive. We love the pool, and the community is great for walking our dog. Very close to a walking trail, restaurants, and the interstate. The airport is very close, but we never had issues with noises. All other residents we’ve met are very friendly. Gabe, Taylor, and Ben from the Somerset staff are so attentive and answer any questions we’ve had. The only issue we had was with the back exit gate, but it got fixed pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend Somerset for anyone looking for a new place!

The leasing staff was very helpful and kind. Ben communicated with me through email and answer every question I had quickly. On move in day everyone in the office was great. They were welcoming and professional. They impressed my wife and I with there great personalities.

It's a great place to live. The staff is so great and friendly. Management fixes things quickly. It's a very quiet, safe feeling neighborhood. It's located in a great part of town where you can hop on the interstate easily but also tucked away too. Love it!

I just moved out after 2 years and I had a great experience here. I loved living at Somerset and so did my dog. I rebuilt my life here, and it was a great decision. I always felt safe. Any issues were taken care of very quickly and courteously. The folks in the front office are wonderful. The only problem with living around other people is simply the fact that you're living around other people. Some are wonderful and some are thoughtless. That's everywhere.

I loved hearing the planes. It was a big plus for me! Sometimes you'll see fighter jets, too! The apartment complex is a couple of miles from HSV (pretty small airport). Planes were infrequent and the noise never bugged me at all. I lived in a unit by the back gate and if I ever heard a train, it was faint. The tracks are not that close at all. One gate was broken for a while but that was because some idiot plowed through it! I saw the back gate get popped by a direct lightning strike. They fixed both as soon as they could. Stuff like that happens.

It's not easy starting over but I felt safe and I thought my 1 bedroom unit was lovely. It was spacious and I thought the rent was fair for the area. I was close to everything. Convenience, safety, quick responses to issues - everything was just right.

I cannot say enough positive things about Somerset at Madison Apartments. The apartments themselves are modern, luxurious, and very spacious. The office staff is one of a kind, they truly care about the happiness of their residents. Beautiful pool, excess amounts of parking, doorstep garbage pick-up, gated access, 24/7 gym, fenced dog park, in apartment or on-site laundry, updated appliances, great location, etc. The list of bonus features goes on and on... but the shining star of Somerset has to be the maintenance staff. They are attentive, friendly, and always professional. You can submit work orders conveniently online and they're usually completed or at least addressed the next business day. Could not be happier with my choice to live at Somerset.

These are some really nice Apartments. It's inside a gated community. They have a pool and other features that some apartments don't have. My friend has a room on the second floor and he gets a door downstairs just like anyone else but has to go up a long flight of stairs to get to his room. The apartments are fairly new so it still looks really nice inside.

These have been really nice during my rental term (16-17) and the staff has always been nice to me. Can be a bit overpriced but if you lock in during a great special it's definitely worth it. The grounds are well maintained as well as the amenities.

While there seem to be a number of negative reviews here, I can't say that I share those experiences. I've lived in the complex for 10 months and have had an excellent experience so far. The apartments seem to be very well-built. I barely ever hear anything from the apartments around me, and have never been woken up because of them (which is something that I can't say about other comparable, 'high end' complexes in the area). The grounds seem very well maintained. The complex also seems to be the only one in the Huntsville/Madison area that understands how to layout studio apartments, which feel closer to a 1-bedroom than a studio. I've primarily dealt with the same two staff members throughout my lease, both of which have been incredibly kind and helpful, and during move-in fought with Huntsville Utilities to push paperwork through after it kept being sent back for invalid reasons instead of forwarding the problem on to me to deal with. I'd highly recommend them.

I love Somerset at Madison! Such a beautiful place, great apartments, and fantastic management. The amenities include free Starbucks, trash service, a recycling center, and of course the pool! My friends loving coming over because they say my apartment is warm, cozy, and inviting. I love being here!

We have loved living here. Rent isn't too much, it is nice and spacious. Pool is always crowded though, they should consider a second one. The office staff is also friendly!
