Rock/Creek North Shore

I highly recommend buying hiking sneakers at Rock Creek north Chattanooga. They are so thorough and really seemed to want to help me find a pair of sneakers that worked for me. When a pair of hiking sneakers that I had just bought from there caused foot pain on my first hike. Evan was so accommodating and allowed me to exchange them. An associate in the shoe department helped me pick out a replacement pair of hiking sneakers pointing out what would work best for my foot shape and feet issues; since the shoes that fit didn’t come in a color I liked, they ordered them for me (you do have to prepay for them which I was happy to do). Now I’m enjoying my comfortable hikes!

I went in looking for a pair of shoes with a wide toe box so I could go stomp around the UK with minimal discomfort. The person who helped me find the perfect shoe was lovely, and the person at the register was lovely! I'd never been in this store before and the good vibes from the employees is enough to make me want to return! Both people added some sunshine to the gloomy autumn afternoon. I did spend a good bit of money on one pair of shoes and four pairs of socks, but I'm a firm believer of investing in the things that separate you from the ground: Tires for your car, proper shoes for your feet! Plus my toes can wiggle around and not be smooshed into narrow shoes.

Great experience at the store today. Hunter really helped me out In my selection of hiking boots. He's the most helpful and knowledgeablesales person regarding boots we've talked to in a while. Ask for him! Avalon was also amazing!!

Rock Creek has been a favorite store of mine for thirty years and my adulation continues today. Jim and Marissa have been extremely helpful in availing information to me and directing which outdoor gear best serves the need. They could and should hold a seminar on customer service for all merchants in the area as they truly “get it”. I cannot sing enough praises to justify their dedication and hard work. Keep the spirit!

Been shopping all locations since 2014 and the unparalleled customer service at all locations is what keeps me coming back. These guys and gals greet you with a smile at the door and are always 100% accommodating throughout my time shopping in the stores.

Today, Julian and Zach assisted me at the register and is just another example of customer service at its best and why I will continue to shop nowhere else but Rock Creek. Kudos Julian and Zach, you both rock and made my day! And Julian-GO GOOSE! 😂 Cheers!

This place is an outdoorsman's dream ... Supplies for all weather. Gear for fishing, rock climbing, hiking, and just generally existing outdoors. The staff was SUPER helpful in helping me select an affordable and appropriate jacket for my needs, as well as a rock climbing harness that would support my weight.

Everyone at this store is always so friendly and helpful whenever we come in. But the biggest thing I am so thankful for is how patient and chill they are about shopping with kids. Listen it’s never easy to have to bring your kids somewhere but no matter how crazy they get or how they run around everyone is still so helpful and unphased by crazy kids and as a Mom I’m really thankful for that!

Rock Creek never misses. It's obviously very pricy but the quality is what you're paying for. I bought the best pair of shorts I've ever had here. The discount rack is also something 5o keep in mind if you want great clothes at a discount.

Everytime I go in I am immediately greeted and given help if it is needed. My grandmother frequently buys presents here and it is always nice to see how helpful the staff is with her when I get to go with her. I appreciate that someone will take the time to work with her and does not get tired of her as she tries to remember what her email is.

Outdoor Adventure store with local appeal. The store manager is super knowledgeable on everything that I asked about. The folks there were very friendly and had some deals.

Amazing customer service‼😍 I went in this weekend looking for a new pair of Chacos. Didn’t find the color in my style, however, Jacob was so nice to educate me on the differences in the foot beds and suggest the possibility of even customizing my style choice with my preferred foot bed on the Chaco website. He even took the time to get a couple different styles in my size that were not my color choice so I could be sure of my style preference before I ordered online! And this was while he was also taking care of other customers, too! He knew I wasn’t buying from his store that day, yet took the time to still help me find just what I needed to order. That just doesn’t happen everywhere I go these days, and I wanted to say THANK YOU, Rock Creek💜. I am so happy you call Chattanooga home! We love your stores, both North Shore and Hamilton Place and feel so appreciative when treated like family as Jacob treated me today!

Huge selection of goods from apparel, to climbing and hiking gear, they have most of your outdoor bases covered. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Conveniently located.
Prices can be a little high, especially for certain brands, but there’s not many other options around and there’s definitely none with the section that they offer. And they routinely run sales.
They also sponsor and put on a lot of local events and such and are just generally very active in the community.
There’s a reason nearly everyone in Chattanooga owns a pair of Chacos.
