The perfect place for the DIY auto person. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and the prices are better that other stores in the area. AAP is my go to for auto needs and advice. I Highly Recommend Advance Auto Parts in Port St. John.

Always has what I need but there is always a very large line. Usually takes 10-20 minutes per visit. But professionalism and honesty of the staff is what makes you come back.

As with most people, I go to my car to run errands & to my "surprise"?? My battery is dead. I called the store & spoke with Frank. He was VERY helpful. There was ONE battery in stock (because mine is special). Go figure. I got jumped & off to the store I went where I was helped by Greg.

Greg was extremely nice, helpful & showed me what he was doing & why. I learned a lot as we chatted. I was also amazed at how many regulars stopped in & were known by name! Greg got me going & on the road in no time. This was my 1st visit & will definitely return as the service, knowledge & expertise were more than I expected!! Thanks guys!! You'll be seeing me again... but hopefully not too soon!! Lol!!

Went in today for a scan- Joe helped us quickly and was super polite. Really appreciate the friendly help and it ended up being good news! Signed us up for the coupons and all that. Will be back!!

Didn't have the part that I need however, they had it for me the next day!

Ordered and paid for it on line. Was able to pick it up in an hour. Staff was great and knowledgeable as always

Whenever I'm in there they are definitely helpful most of the people there that I've dealt with have plenty of knowledge. And are there to definitely help you not looking to just make a big sale and upsell as much as they can which I definitely love.

Awesome customer service!! Today I stopped by and picked up windshield wipers and was about to put them on in the rain and the manager came to help me install them. He was so kind, he was on his break and went out of his way to help me put them on. That kindness was very much appreciated! I will continue going there and recommend them to all my friends and family.

I had a battery installed the other day by Greg. A big thank you to Greg for going above and beyond to get this battery installed. The old battery had been there for 5 years and did not come out easy.

It was Fantastic! These folks not only look up all the specs of your vehicle (so you don't have to) they install wiper blades plus they walk you over to the part you need and tell you about how long each one will last!
Amazing! Not to mention they check codes from dashboard warning lights! No charge! They don't even accept tips--what? Best Auto parts store bottom line.

Greg changed our battery quick . He's a great guy and always very helpful . I wish I still carried cash I would have given him a nice tip . Instead I've tried to let people know that I've been going to advance Auto PSJ for years . Always good .

I went to start my car yesterday and as luck has it, my vehicle didn't start. I went on the Advance Auto parts website and couldn't get the battery that I wanted. I then drove to the Port St John Advance Auto parts store. A gentleman by the name of Frank assisted me. He found the battery that I was looking for as well as the windshield wipers that I needed. He then asked me if I wanted him to install them and I said sure. He installed these items very quickly and acted as if he really wanted to help and didn't bicker or complain. I think he should receive employee of the month for that store because of his willingness to help and then asked if there's anything else he could help me with. I left the Port St John store feeling very relieved that everything was taken care of quickly and I met an employee that really cares.

Easy pick up and the help in installing the battery. Sorry I didn't have any cash since I wanted to tip the person who installed it for me. Will go back and take care of him later for going out of his way to help me. Thank you for having such good employees.

I recently had an issue where the battery that was under warranty tested as good with the in-store battery tester. I knew the battery was bad, as I would have just a dome light on while working on the car for less than an hour and then the car would not start from a full charge. I brought it in three times for testing and every time it would test as good.

After replacing the battery with one in my truck and everything being fine, I went in a fourth time and if it tested good, was going to just buy another. Frank was working the counter and because he knew my frustrations of being in multiple times, but being bound by the policy of the store, he said he was going to buy it out of his own pocket because he wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with my experience at the store.

Luckily it tested bad finally on the fourth try and he was able to replace it under warranty. But I'll never forget what Frank did, as that was very selfless and very much a huge attempt on his behalf to make sure that the store he works in keeps a good reputation!

Mr. Miles was a lifesaver today!! I just picked my car up from a local auto mechanic after having some struts replaced. I soon began having battery issues. Mr. Miles was able to assist me and took the time to explain what he was seeing and doing. He discovered that the mechanic had failed to reconnect the alternator cable properly. My battery was 100%. Alternator tested properly and car started right up after he finished the Mechanics job. Have a flight to other side of the country in the morning and he took a lot of stress off me and went above and beyond. Thank you again Mr. Miles.

EVERY time I go into this place, get treated like gold. Always get greeted walking in the door which is a nice touch by the way. If they are not jam-packed ringing people up, they will actually walk you over to get the parts needed instead of pointing you in the general direction like other auto parts stores do!

And if you call it's the same excellent treatment! Frank and Sam are the most amazing, knowledgeable and caring people you could imagine and now they both work in the same store in Port St John!

And I really like how they suggest things to help you buy the right parts to do the job. Went in last night 10 minutes before closing time which is 9 p.m., needed some starting fluid to get my mother's car running that has been sitting for awhile and Frank also suggested a few other products that I'm sure will help get the car going. Octane booster because the octane diminishes in the fuel as the car sits as he pointed out. Frank kindly pointed out that there was starter fluid on sale so I got that particular brand!

Got some Marvel Mystery Oil also and some fuel system cleaner.

Sam is the same way, a walking dictionary of knowledge for auto parts and auto care. This is not my strong point repairing vehicles so it's pretty awesome when your local auto parts store has such knowledgeable and competent people who willingly share their expertise.

Not long ago, needed something for the old car and Sam didn't have it in stock. So he looks in his computer at all the nearby stores (because I had indicated an extreme need at the moment), and he found the product for me at the store on Dixon Boulevard. He even rang it up with my other stuff so I only had to go pick it up on Dixon Boulevard. That's the kind of awesome service I get every single time at that place!

They of course sell parts but they are also fantastic problem solvers all the way around and I am 100% satisfied with the great service at this store!
