I adore this shop. I have been shopping here since they opened. The kits are super fun, and they have crafting stuff for people at every level.

This store is so adorable and the craft projects available here were a dream. Attached is a beautiful embroidery dala ornament kit I put together! The fabric selection is unique and adorable as well.

A truly lovely spot for craft supplies and gifts. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There's something for everyone and things you can't find anywhere else in Longmont. I love them!

I LOVE this little store. It has everything from earrings, to sewing kits and fabric, non- Hallmarky cards, diy kits, incense, books, and an awesome selection of plants. My daughters, ages 8 and 14, have been taking sewing classes with Julie for months and they adore her, plus, they’ve both learned a ton. I have also started taking sewing classes and just completed a mosaic woodworking class last week….It was a total blast. There is literally nothing MG doesn’t have. It is one of my favorite shops in Longmont.

Stopped by on a whim and loved how everything felt handpicked by someone. I recently started sewing and appreciated the sewing section. I didn't know about the workshops until looking it up later online -- very cool, I'd like to try a class soon!

Wow! First of all, everything I have bought from Makers General is all very high quality, like the Punch Kits I have enjoyed doing! They are very fun and perfect for a snowy/rainy day! But, the sewing class I take at Makers General is fantastic. Julie teaches us more advanced sewing and is such a good teacher. She is very kind and patient and always has the best projects! I have been taking this class for a while now, and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!

I took a shirt making class with Julie and really loved it! She's an excellent teacher and made it fun for everyone. It was a really low pressure environment and I learned a lot. She has a ton of patience and is super generous with her time. She stayed later to help those of us that weren't finished with our projects. I highly recommend taking a class here! And the store itself has a lot of great items including those from local artists so go and support your community of artists and local businesses!

I was in the shop today, it was not my first time in, nor will it be my last! The space is intimate and the selection of goods is curated and thoughtful. This space is welcoming the staff is friendly and helpful and the supplies are stunning. My experience today was with Taylor, they went out of their way to make my experience great and make sure that I had what I needed to bring more equity to my classroom! They were kind, personable, helpful, and full of light! Maker General is a must for makers young and old. I can’t recommend it enough!

My favorite store in town! Decorated beautifully and great products. It is my go to for great gifts for my family and friends and I usually pick something up for me as well. Also, love to walk by and see their window display. Always looks great!

Amazing, gorgeous store with embroidery patterns, crafting tools and kits and flowers. The store has a very sweet and gentle shop dog. And they offer sewing and other art classes.

Such a great shop! You can find a craft for any ability, and the staff is so welcoming and helpful. Also highly recommend the classes for kids - creative projects and paced for their skill level. A must visit when in Longmont!

I absolutely loved Maker General and the friendly, welcoming, and helpful vibe when I walked in. I stopped by for some sage to smudge my new home and the woman working there, not sure if she was the owner, was helpful and so nice. I will definitely be stopping by in the future. Plus who doesn’t love supporting a small business!!!

Stopped in when Julie was there. So lovely to chat with and looking forward to taking a workshop in the future! I went away with a super cute flower dress and some little embroidery gifts - lovely and unique gifts!

One of my top 5 fav places in Longmont. Staff feel like friends, their design style, creativity and choice of goods is outstanding. Taylor gave me a free lesson on making a rope rainbow and she was uber patient, helpful and super nice to chat with. Love that you’re in Longmont and all of you!

My daughter LOVED the kid’s workshop. I felt that she was safe (wore masks inside since kids aren’t vaccinated) and engaged in the class. We would absolutely do it again!

Tiny shop of creative, unique and beautiful things. Went during a pop up event and it was full of people and items created by local artists. This place is great and they have houseplants too.

I’m purchasing my forth round of masks.
I’m a hairstylist and I have to change masks with each guest. Often a guest arrives with no mask and they need to wear one.. The masks are comfortable durable and I can breathe through them. Upon ordering, it’ll take a few days for them to be made if your special ordering.

This store was exactly what I needed for my creative outlet plus the super friendly staff helped answer any questions I had about my upcoming project. I definitely recommend this store to anyone who loves to be creative or is looking for a one of a kind gift.

A wonderful spot to find crafts and gifts! The people working there are so nice and helpful. This is my go to store when I'm browsing for a gift in downtown Longmont.
