Love At First Bite Cafe

I came here for the breakfast buffet with the hubs, and we are super glad that we did!

The taste of the food is very nostalgic if you grew up with a country grandma like I did. The biscuits are a perfect combo of soft and crumbly. The pork meat is one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s season to perfection, and amazingly juicy. And the French toast casserole? It makes you wish you had a second stomach! We left here absolutely stuffed.

The service is wonderful, but you can tell they’re all having to work around being a catering business as well so they’re doing their best to get to you if you’re ordering.

We cannot wait to come back, LAFB! 🫶

As I took a stroll down the old town of Jarrell I came across this AMAZING 😍 restaurant. Walked in and was greeted by my server Bella. She was so nice and her outfit was GIVING 😍. I sat down and she even read me the menu, like what good service 😩. I got the Florentine and she said it was one of her favorites so I knew then and there that it was the ONE!! It honestly took about 10 minutes, but knowing the business this is I knew the wait was more than ok!! It arrived and it was so good! It was seasoned well and the Mac and Cheese and Mash Potatoes were a great fit! I have nothing bad to say about this place. It’s definitely worth the hype and would recommend to close family/friends.
I did forget to mention they're a BAKERY TOO!!! I got the famous Banana Split Cake and a extra Banana pudding. It was like fate its like fate knew I needed the extra sugar 😆. The prices were very reasonable and I faced no disappointment!!

This is a Jarrell treasure and amazing place to find to eat. Fsmily friendly, single??, totally great for you, couple?? Go here!!! Their food and service is amazing. Their menu does change. They have specials and dofferent days highlight dofferent meals. Today is Saturday and I am eating st Their all you can eat breakfast buffet. So delicious. There is enough protein served so if you're diabetic like me you can eat here and enjoy. Alsobthey make homemaker goods and sell those too. Also delicious but don't recommend if you're diabetoc...yes I cheat sometimes. I wish I could take more pictures. I also think their prices reasonable.

Came here with my boyfriend- he had the chicken fried steak and I had the Burrito. Holy smokes- both are sooo good.

There is a buffet that looks fresh and well maintained.

Only thing you need to know is that if you order off the menu- make sure you bring someone you like to talk to… the food is FRESH and takes time to make.

The Burrito can technically be shared*** I think getting this, pairing it with a sweeter dish (even fruit) and sharing would be super fun!

Ps- if the owner is seeing this* please never change the tortilla on that burrito 💯👌 it is perfect!

Im from Houston Tx me and my friend wanted to try out this restaurant since my sister in law recommended, I’ll say it was good experience the food was amazing the atmosphere. We had good service the one who attended us her name is Bella she was very kind and very Patient with us especially it was our first time being there she’ll gave us some recommendations which I appreciate but the food was amazing very Tasty and the desserts the cheesecake brownie was just so delicious I was ready to take some more to go I’ll say this restaurant is a 10/10 in my opinion I’ll for sure be coming back

Sat down to the catfish buffet and holy sweet goodness, was it delicious! The fish itself was clean tasting and good, the breading was just right, and the tartar was awesome. I usually don't even like tartar. The pasta salad was good, the cabbage was good and the waitress was great. We've always had a great experience there, this was the first time I've had their fish. It's better than catfish parlor in Georgetown.

I walked in for a quick lunch not expecting anything special. The name says it all. I fell in love the moment I tasted my Arnold Palmer. Half unsweetened tea, half fresh squeezed lemonade. Purely delicious and refreshing. I ordered a simple small chicken fried steak from the lunch menu, mashed potatoes(homemade) and fried cabbage. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I can't remember in 43 years when I had a better meal. I never order dessert, but I felt I had no choice after such an amazing tasty lunch. The Italian cream cake caught my eye and it was a delight. This small little Cafe is something special and I am so glad that I stumbled in today. I literally fell in love at the first bite/sip. 🫶🥰

OMG! Awesome awesome food! You will not leave hungry from there. Not only are the portions a good size but even after your stomach says stop I am full you cannot stop eating. The small appetizer alone The Pappas ( fried potatoes with jalapenos, bacon and love sauce) was almost a full meal for two people. We were only able to get a few bites of our meals that we had ordered because of the portion of the appetizer. I really enjoyed The Firecracker (jalapeno meatloaf wrapped in bacon) with the cream corn and the fried cabbage. I do not even like cabbage but I had more than one bite. My husband had the Big Daddy Mac ( Mac and cheese with cream corn topped with brisket). Oh my Lord was that delicious!

Now being at the American Legion I was not expecting much when we walked in the door, boy was I wrong. It is so very cutely decorated. I really liked the décor. I wish I could have gotten more pictures inside. There were just to many people.

My husband and I will be coming back.

So we came in again but for the breakfast buffet. Awesome food again and we ate way to much. I was looking for a home town restaurant that was not a chain and I found it.

Do not pass on this wonderful gem in Jarrell. The best comfort food around! So much great food and desserts. Breakfast bar was so delicious. This food is heavy and not for the faint of heart.

My son had his second birthday and I heard the cakes here were good from the locals around the area. Everything was amazing and above expectations. The biggest surprise is that they do a breakfast buffet on weekends only. THIS BREAKFAST WAS GOOD! looking foward to not having to make the kitchen a mess during the beginning of the day on the weekends.

I went for the pies at Thanksgiving & Christmas. Their chocolate cream pie was top notch. This is my fave pie to get anywhere I go and most places have a soggy crust. But not here - the crust was light and flaky with every bite! Absolutely delish!
Fast forward to last Friday and I did their Friday night special - 2 meals, 4 sides, and a dessert for $40. I got the ribeye steak tips w/shrimp and hubs got the chicken fried steak. My expectations were not very high on the steak tips and, to be honest, when I got home and opened the container, they looked like they might have been overcooked. However, one bite and my eyes rolled back in my head! They had grilled onions and the flavor was spot on! Very tender and very delicious! The place doesn’t disappoint! It’s a bit of a drive being in Jarrell, but oh so worth it!!!

Amazing home cooked food, delectable desserts, fantastic service!! Highly recommend!! Love it!

Love the fish Fridays. Good food and great service. Everything was freshly cooked. Really nice place to have dinner as a family.

It was my first time trying this lovely cafe, and i absolutely LOVED IT. The customer service was so incredible, I had Jesus as my server and they were the best. I highly recommend the Chicken Fried Steak, Pork Chops and The original Burger. Definitely will come again!!!!!!!

AMAZING! Soooo yummy. I got the lightning green burger and the mac, definitely coming back! Waitress was so sweet as well.

Quaint little place. Love the layout, and the food was amazing. Will definitely be a regular!

Whenever I go to a new restaurant, the first thing I usually try is the chicken fried steak, if they have it on the menu. It was the best chicken fried steak I've ever had at a restaurant. I had the mashed potatoes with gravy and I had cream style corn for my sides. The cream style corn was scratch made, and it was awesome!!! I highly recommend this place. It is all home cooking from scratch. They also have awesome desserts made from scratch. I had the chocolate cheesecake and it was delicious!
