Dam Roast House & Browder Bookstore

Heading to Grand Canyon West via the Hoover Dam we decided to pit-stop in Boulder City and went in search of Espresso and gluten-free and happened upon this gem Dam Roast House & Browder Bookstore! It’s in the first building built in federal lands for the 5,000 workers who constructed the Hoover (Boulder) Dam in the 1930’s. Great atmosphere and baked gluten-free goods. Soothing interior, chairs, design and vibe. We came upon a family knitting session with grandma and the grand kids. A great pit-stop and quaint Main Street with many interesting shops and restaurants. And it’s on the way to the Dam 😀

Best dam coffee house ever! Delicious, hot, and perfectly flavored coffee. Food is phenomenal. Love the gluten free options!! Don’t sleep on the pumpkin loaf (warmed) 12/10 recommend!!!

Great way to start the morning with a latte. They have over a dozen fun lattes, themed to the Hoover dam or sweat treats from your childhood. It’s a combo coffee shop bookstore. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m traveling through Boulder City!

each time i visit, my opinion that this is one of the best coffee shops i’ve ever experienced is absolutely reinforced. the staff is always so kind and knowledgeable- i have a hard time choosing what to get and the baristas never hesitate to assist in coming up with a delicious drink for me.

i also love the general aesthetic and good vibes. they really have something for everyone. :-)

also - they were very kind about and even encouraged me to bring in my cats when we were on an adventure and looking for some AC and cool refreshments. 😺

Amazing coffee shop in Boulder City. they have delicious drinks and pastries as well as other food.
I got the Maker's mint iced drink. it was delicious!!
if you're passing by or visiting for a few days, you have to try them out.

Wonderful pastries and coffee. We had the vegan pumpkin cake and the cinnamon bun. Yummy! Such a pleasant decor. Friendly service. We also found two books at the bookstore. I wish there was a place like this in my hometown.

I just love this place! little bit coffee, little bit book store, little bit miscellaneous gift shop. I'm definitely stopping in here again. They even had a kids corner with kids books and a few toys. I loved all the different types of seating and lots of natural light. The staff was beyond friendly. The coffee was delicious. The fat crying cat painting in the bathroom is worth a look. The thing I enjoyed most was the blind date with a book. 10/10

Very vibrant and clean coffee shop with a modest but neat new and used books nook in downtown Boulder City. We got the spinach and feta egg bites which were delicious and the perfect snack to tide us over until dinner. We had the cappuccino and flat white which were good and enjoyed the counter seating along the windows. There's a children's corner with picture books and a play table so that was very thoughtful for families with kids.

Wonderful experience! Servers had great attitudes. The atmosphere stands out. What an unexpected charm in Boulder City. We had coffee, tea, an avocado toast and the vegan smorgas. All were delicious and we were easily accommodated with a couple requests. Highly recommend!

We travel full time in our RV & love to try coffee shops everywhere we go. THIS ONE is absolutely one of our FAVORITES! The food is JUST AS DELICIOUS as the coffee! The open faced sandwiches & German chocolate cake were our favorites! We spent multiple mornings here .. highly recommend!

Very cute coffee shop! Adequate seating and very clean. The s'mores Latte was good. The bookshop is small, I would say less than 100 titles all together.

Cozy coffee shop with modern Scandinavian flair. We got a smoothie bowl, s’mores latte and blueberry scone. Everything was delicious!

The brunch (toast and waffles) is amazing! They have glutenfree bread and plant-based milk. Coffee is fantastic. I recommend to everyone.

Butterbeer Latte! Ohhhh yes!!! The Hot cocoa is also phenomenal and comes with a toasted marshmallow on it. The vibe, the food and drinks, and the service are all well worth the drive out from Vegas! We love this place and we’ll be back again and again when we need a relaxing meal that feel a world away from the city but is really only about a half hour💙💙💙

Absolutely amazing drink menu and very good food; had the butterbeer latte from the "secret" menu and the veggie toast. The staff and store are super pleasant.

Definitely a must every time we come out to Boulder City. Customer service is great. It’s always so clean and calm. Great place to relax for a minute.

The staff was very friendly, and the coffee was excellent. I particularly loved the little plant propagation stations on each table. It was such a nice touch (yes I'm a plant fan, but seriously! So much better than cut flowers.). It was bright, airy, and had a great vibe. Definitely stop in when you're in town!

I’ve been here several times throughout our stay, I have celiac & allergies and honestly haven’t had a safe coffee outside of my home in a very long time. This shop hits the spot and the makers mint is insanely good! The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, the gluten free pastries are delicious. The staff is very knowledgeable and shared the potential risk of CC from the bakery & the way they are stored but so far the ones I have gotten have been cleared by my service dog ❤

The hardest part about this shop is not coming back every single morning ☺

I went to the Dam Roast House for the first time yesterday to catch up with a former professor. We both absolutely loved it! It’s exactly what you want a coffee shop to be. I got a hibiscus coconut iced tea and he got an iced coffee. So good! Everyone was nice and the woman who took our order helped us pick out our drinks quickly. I love the book nook and the atmosphere of the whole place. My friend also kept saying how great the coffee shop is. We sat there for nearly three hours catching up on life, it’s really that comfortable there. This is a must try, especially if you like exploring different drinks. It felt like I was in a cute coffee spot you’d see in a movie. I could go on and on, really. Just go check it out for yourself. Love LOVE it so!
