Southwest Diner

Absolute gem of a southwestern restaurant! Great menu! You can close your eyes and just pick any dish, and it will be delicious. We tried the hamburger steak with grilled onions, gravy, veggies, and fries. Crispy fries, lightly salted veggies, and a super tender, juicy, flavorful hamburger steak cooked to perfection! Then, of course, we had to try the classic bacon cheese burger medium cooked with some pink, extra crispy bacon, and holding it together were these fluffy fresh buns. It all smelled so amazing that when our order came out, I automatically took a bite of the burger! 🤣 Great lemonade and screwdrivers for that afternoon delight. Desserts are delicious, especially the pies! We were seated quickly. Beautiful outdoor seating for more people and dogs to join. There's food for the doggies to order. Service is always amazing and friendly. The food was fresh, hot, and made to order. We will be back soon!

On your way to the Hoover Dam this is a must stop! Total locals place. I found this place by accident and was so impressed and amazed. Was such a welcomed surprise! Total home-cooked, family owned, little gem 💎 ❤! The menu was amazing and made it hard to decide 😋. I was very impressed with food, portions and the whole place. Would highly recommend even if not going to the Dam. Worth the trip! I wanted to buy 1 of their home made pies but was too full from breakfast! Super friendly staff and such a great place. Can not say enough wonderful things about this place. The Baileys and ☕ was the tip topper too......

Loved this place. Cute little diner filled with nostalgic knickknacks. We had a wonderful waitress who was so sweet...called everyone Hon! I felt it belonged in a small town show like Gilmore Girls or something similar. Definitely a neighborhood joint that all the locals would eat at.
So I ordered the Cilantro rice with shrimp; my friend got a steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. We both ordered the peach pie for dessert (mine was ala mode).
Food was excellent and we ate every morsel. I wouldn't hesitate to go again if I was in Vegas.

Loved it! The food is really good. Our table had the meatloaf and the pot roast. Amazing mashed potatoes and gravy. And the cherry and peaches pies were to die for. This is close to the Hoover Dam. Service was amazing. Prices very reasonable.

It was such a great experience. The decor included many vintage items, which brought back great memories! Service was excellent, as Maria saw to our breakfast requests. The first visit included corn beef, eggs, banana bread, and coffee! The second visit included Pumpkin pancakes, eggs, bacon, and coffee. I would definitely recommend the Southwest Diner in Boulder City, NV. 😎🇺🇲

We took a drive to Boulder from Vegas with no plans on where to eat. After looking at 2 other places we found this diner and I am so glad we did. Cute and welcoming atmosphere. Best waffle ever. Something magical about the butter too. Had a miscommunication with another dish and the staff handled it and the bill quickly and with a smile. Ceasar salad wasn't ceasar, not sure if that was a different miscommunication but the salad was good for what it was. Will def eat there again when back in the area

A great local homestyle diner. A place where some locals meet for coffee. Outdoor seating with a nice feel for historic downtown Boulder City.
Great food and very friendly service. I've returned twice, never disappointed.

Stopped in on Labor Day 2023. All was great, the only challenge was parking. There was a very small parking lot behind it that was full. After circling once, we found a spot on the street. The place was busy but efficient. We got a table with no wait. I got the chili relleno casserole, if you like the flavor of CR, you will love it. A side of those potatoes and banana bread. The others got a bacon cheese burger with fries. They loved them. The refillable soda drinks came in huge Mason jars. You probably wint need to refill. They make a variety of homemade pies, but we were all to full after the food. Customer service was great. I will return to this place.

Had the pleasure of staying in Boulder a few days ago to grab some breakfast here. The Italian Omelet is INSANE! Soooo tasty, flavorful, and amazing portions. The staff was very friendly and glad my pup was able to join us.

Great little place. The chili was excellent. Every time we tried to dine here, it was packed, now I see why.

My son loves small town diners and homestyle meals—this place delivers both experiences. We plan to go again!

This was just what I was looking for! Delicious, interesting breakfast with a cocktail! Chile relleno casserole was very interesting, never seen that before. So good with the "those potatoes". Bloody Mary was excellent as well. Banana nut bread was also excellent!
Great service, nice interior, couldn't have asked for more.

This diner was more than what I was expecting. They had a diverse menu with lots of choices, breakfast items, typical diner lunch and dinner options along with some amazing Mexican items. And y’all, they had large selection of homemade pies! Our party of 7 was seated almost immediately, service was quick and accommodating. Kudos to the chef and the wait staff. Thank you for a great experience.

Excellent breakfast. I had the pork chile verde omelette with Those Potatoes. Especially with their house-made green habanero hot sauce it was divine. That sauce is so good I bought a bottle...less than $8!!! The rye toast was great too. Nice, thick slices.

Service was superb as well. And I love their mugs!

Wonderful breakfast in Boulder City!

It's huge and delicious. We ate different dishes and I would strongly recommend the burrito.

Pankakes are also nice, but just the two stack was enough.

It's always worth the stop here at the Southwest Diner for a margarita and fresh homemade food. I enjoy the shredded beef tacos 🌮 with my margarita 🍹

Pot roast with mashed potatoes can always make a difference in your day. These were roasted to perfection and the potatoes were smooth and delicious. Wife also got the Caesar salad which was also delicious. Lastly we got the brownie pie which was incredible but very sweet. Awesome little spot to grab a good bite to eat!
