The Hot Dog Cafe

Hey Guy’s. We went to the Hot Dog Cafe in Wellford SC today and it was great😊. We’ve been hearing about this spot for a while so since it was such a beautiful day we decided to give it a try.
Boy I’m glad we did!
The hot dogs were great with a wiener that was bigger than a pencil and the chilli was tasty and made with real beef.
The cheeseburgers were big and juicy and made with real beef also.
Jalayla really liked her Dump Dog that came fully loaded.
Lauryn enjoyed her corn dogs and she said that they weren’t greasy.
The cafe is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. It’s quite spacious and neat and clean. Service was nice and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. So all in all you get your moneys worth and the food is good here😉

The food was fresh and delicious! I ordered a corn dog, chili cheese fries, and a coke. So yummy! The corn dog must've been deep fried because it was crispy. Even the ice was good! Lol

Second visit. I tried the hamburger this time. One of the top 5 burgers in Spartanburg County.

Just went on a bad day. It was terrible for some reason.
The chili was always great. Hot dogs have always been great. Even did not like the fries. Off day

This place never disappoints! Good food, cooked to order, fast! The staff/ownership are friendly, the fries are great, and the sweet tea (and lemonade) is excellent! I always enjoy going to the Hot Dog Cafe, (sometimes multiple times a week 🫣)!

Second work visit and I liked this place so much the first time around I made sure to stop again. Very nice staff and excellent food. Wish we had a place like this in Ohio

Great hotdogs and fresh cut fries ..friendly staff and very reasonable prices for lunch or dinner. I really loved the way they decorated the inside of their restaurant. If you haven't tried this place , put it on your too do list ....

IT IS NOT CASH ONLY!!! But Let me tell you... THIS PLACE RIGHT HERE IS A NEED TO TRY!!! Me and my daughter stopped in to try this place and I can't begin to tell you how good and delicious it was. This right here wins best hotdog in Lyman/Welford. They do accept cards now also. They have a big menu and I can't wait to go back and try more!!! Fresh cut fries, homemade chili, I mean come on, where can you find a place like this anymore!!!!! My daughter even chose their hot dogs over BK chicken nuggets... she's 5.... for real people try this place at least. I'd give it 10 stars if I could ✨

My husband & I came here for lunch, & I got the Dump dog plate ... he got the Dump double cheeseburger. Both were amazing!! The dump dog is topped with chili cheese slaw and onions and if you get the plate it is served with hand-cut fries.
The Dump double cheeseburger was topped with lettuce, tomato, chili, jalapenos, cheese, pickles, onions, & relish. It was so big, my husband couldn't get the whole thing in his mouth!! Definitely a hidden treasure here!! Never before have I seen a burger that exceeded my expectations.

This little hole in the wall is so good and worth the stop. The dump dog has whatever on it that they happen to have in the back. The chili dog is so good even the 4yr old approved. The fries are fresh cut and fried to perfection. They also have hamburgers and a fried bologna sandwich that we will try soon.

It's a great place to go! The old school vibe is my favorite! I love all the decor they have. The fries are the best!! You can't go wrong with the burgers or dogs either!!

There are several areas of dining area and bathrooms that are a step up or down. Use caution.

Quick friendly service. Great dogs and sandwiches, fresh cut fries. Fair prices. And they "have that good ice" (see photo)

They do not take credit or debit cards. Cash or check only. (Only downside, I would probably stop more offen, but I don't carry cash or check often).

Really nice wait staff, and good service. The food was good and was really promptly served. Great job Hotdog Cafe.

Awesome burgers and great price. They only take cash though. Probably my new favorite burger joint!

This place gets the 3 F's. Fast,Friendly and Fresh. The hot dog was pretty good. The hamburger has to be the best in the area. The picture doesn't do justice for this really good burger. Really good hand cut French fries.

A friend of mine mentioned this place and so I decided to try it out, Yay me! Reminded me everything that's good about small food joints and make no mistake this is a small food joint, and a good one. The burger was fresh with good ingredients, the fries were hot, and it was busy, and the wait was really short, nice job!
I'm looking forward to going back to try more of their menu.

I came last week. I ordered a hot dog plate. And a hamburger plate. I asked for a little ketchup mustard lettuce tomato. When I got home. All I had on my hamburger. Was the hamburger and bun. My family and I. Order from there quite a bit. They have never. Made a on none of my orders. But I will definitely go back again. Because they do have great hamburger plates. Everything they have is good.

We wrapped up our Bryson City annual reunion with lunch at Hot Dog Cafe. Mom and Dad like this very local spot and ran into some friends as we arrived. Fortunately Dad simplified ordering by getting a tray full of Dogs and Fries and cups for the table so we didn’t have to comb through the menu. Josh and I took some time to check out the CocaCola collection displayed across the walls.

Always very friend home town interacting with daughter is great! Just great, friendly people...price is reasonable and fast service!

Customer service is top notch 👌 The food was amazing!
