I had a small wedding reception here back in October. The food and service were amazing. Margo the manager and the owner were so kind to us. The views of Boldt Castle from this venue are so beautiful. All my guests said that their meal was excellent. I d definitely recommend.

We had such a great time for Polar Bear Dip every year at Bonnie Castle. It's a great benefit for Rover Hospital.

They did a wonderful job hosting our son's wedding! It is a beautiful location. And the entire staff was welcoming, accommodating and patient! All of the guests who stayed there enjoyed their stay.

The rooms are very dated. The entire property is kind of like a trip back in time. But in a good way! Our rooms have always been clean and the front desk is always very easy to work with. The views from some of the rooms are not a water view but the privacy and property is nice 🙂 biggest plus is that they are a pet friendly property and we bring our pooches everywhere 🐕🐕

Wow... that's all I have to say. I had the best stay here but that's not what got the five star... It was the service especially Margot, she made everything so easy and was the friendliest and funniest associate! Can't wait to come back, if your reading this Margot, THANK YOU for making me and my husbands stay so memorable.

We visited just a week or two before the open season. It was pleasantly quiet. Our room was facing the St Lawrence river seaway where freighters can be seen quietly cruising into or away from the Great lakes or Atlantic ocean. *The hotel resort doesn't have an elevator so, getting your luggage in a room might be a challenge to some individuals. However, it's a wonderful place. *It is showing some age to the building but THE LOCATION IS PERFECT.

This hotel is dated, no question. Still has traditional keys...lol. The off season rates made it affordable for a staycation. The pool, hot tub etc. Rooms were good size and spotless. Staff was personable, polite and accommodating! Pool was even opened early due to school vacation!

Very clean and comfortable room but would have appreciated a picture of the “marina view” on line for booking. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I came here with my husband for a military ball and got a room so that we wouldn’t have to drive back home late at night. After reading the negative reviews, I was a bit skeptical of the place, but I know that everybody has different experiences, so I decided to give it a try anyway. And I’ll be honest, I was actually pretty positively impressed! The ladies at the front desk were super nice and friendly and the room was actually not bad at all! We had a room with the view on the castle and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. I’ll admit some pieces of furniture are a bit outdated and should be upgraded, but it didn’t bother either of us and we still considered it a great stay! The jacuzzi was pretty cool, the bed was firm but not uncomfortable-firm. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel, because it’s not, but I think it’s worth visiting and spending the night!

At the ball we also had dinner and the food was amazing!!

We both enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back some day!

For a room less than $
100 WITH not just a jacuzzi tub but an actual "honeymoon tub" you really couldn't go wrong! We have a fantastic view of the river from our window and front sitting area... Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Could use an update but totally had a great time!!

Wonderful service in the restaurant and great food. Our server Rene was top notch and bar staff was friendly.
Rooms were simple but clean and just what we needed. Glad we ignored some unpleasant reviews and booked anyway. We enjoyed our stay and will come again!

I read the reviews, & I make my own judgement. Only The Wife & I Stayed, 7-21 /7-24 with a Big clean and Very Convenient king Size Room #202 with a Tub for 4!! Parked in the front, 30 second walk to the room & never used the car again. First place we went too, The point ! Being close to the water was very nice, you can't get any closer unless you're in the water. The Food, views & amazing breeze from the river, can't get any better. but it was about chilling & relaxing with my wife.
Dinning @ The longe, staff was very friendly and did the best they could with short staff. We weren't in any rush to go anywhere. So we waited a little longer than usual, again we were drinking our beverages & enjoying quality time together out on the rear deck, with amazing views of the river. They could hold a nice size event / wedding with an amazing view of Bolt Castle from their
Huge gazebo deck area. The food was good and the staff again was very friendly. The walk in town was Nothing crazy. All we did was eat, drink & relaxed the entire time, so a little extra walking didn't kill us. If you can't walk then just drive and park early or you'll be parking way back in the rear parking lot in town. Bonnie castle Resort, is not like the newer places, but it did what we needed for us, during our stay in town. I did look & riveredge & others, we would have needed a mortgage to get a room!! My wife & I have stayed at many facilities through out our 30 years of marriage, Bonnie's was once a great Amazon place, but it has tuff competition, with newer places in the close are. We were glad to get a room on short notice. We have seen & had way worse or terrible then Bonnie's The place was full the entire time we were there, so everyone else read the reviews or they made their own judgement and decided to take the same chance we did.

Took my family for the weekend to Alex Bay. Price for standard 2 double bed for 1 night was good. Location was very nice. Room was clean, I checked (I'm a person who is very cautious) had a rustic feel to it. Ground floor room which has a hallway door and a front door to the lot, and short walk across lot to the indoor pool and amazing view of Boldt Castle. Had dinner at the Manor House Restaurant and the food was good, service was great, (they were very busy) and the atmosphere was perfect, the view of Boost Castle and the river was amazing. Saw a few freighters float by. Service desk was helpful with questions about my stay. Check In was fast and easy, and check out was even more so. Will stay again.

Our room was great exactly what we needed. Kimberly was amazing at helping us get a last minute room after our first hotel fell through. She even helped us pick some local eatery for our dinner. They have a great restaurant inside the resort that has a beautiful view of the water. We came early and had the dining room to ourselves for a few minutes to take a few pictures it was great!

I stayed at one of the river-front suites with a jacuzzi. The only problem with the room was that it would take a few minutes before we would get hot water (it takes a while to reach that side of the building). Other than that, the room was very clean and spacious. The balcony was small, but enough space for two people to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views of the water. The hotel is a few minutes away from the center of the town by foot, which affords access to the touristy activities (shopping for souvenirs, restaurants) and it is also close to Uncle Tom’s cruises, which are great for exploring the river and reaching the nearby Boltd Castle. There is both an outdoor pool and an indoor kiddie pool on site.

We had the joy of celebrating our wedding day at Bonnie Castle Resort and Marina this summer. We cannot express how grateful we are, and how amazing our wedding day was. We had our ceremony on their breathtaking gazebo, overlooking the river we have called home for our whole lives. The Home of the Stars reception room is huge, beautiful, welcoming, and so simple to decorate and make it your own.

Angie is one of the kindest humans you will meet in your entire life. From the initial meetings, the food tasting, the late night stress emails, Angie was there with a smile and an answer to every question we stirred up! Not only was our experience stress free, it was so much fun. Angie and the staff at Bonnie Castle were there to lend a hand and support our every need. They were flexible, kind, and willing to try out any new or crazy ideas we may have had, and do it with a smile!

The food was incredible. All of our guests commented about the ease of use of the buffet line, the delicious food options, and the speed and efficiency the staff was able to serve our crew of 200+ guests.

The hotel accommodations were an integral part of our wedding day. The apartment suite used for the bridal party to get ready in was large and had everything we needed. Allowing our guests the options of hotel rooms and boat slips allowed everyone to have the best time possible, all day and night! We loved that Bonnie was truly a ‘one stop shop’ wedding venue. Thank you to Angie and the crew at Bonnie. We love you all!!

Cute little resort with a great view of Boldt Castle. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was simple and clean. I loved the food at the sports bar. Our bartender was super sweet and really attentive for a having a full bar on Friday night. Everything was closing up around 9 locally, so I managed to a good night's sleep each day. A slight water pressure lack, but some may not consider this a bad thing given other hotel showers that have bruising pressure. I definitely recommend for a weekend trip.
