This place is amazing! Food is absolutely delicious, not too long of a wait, the staff is so kind and helpful. These are without a doubt the best waffles I’ve ever had and the smoothie I had was also very delicious. I definitely recommend everyone giving this place a try!

10/10 I highly recommend, exceptional service. The food well, it speaks for itself, I didn’t get to dine in but the next time I’m in town I will do so. I ordered online and picked it up. When I tell you as soon as I got back to my hotel, I devour that food it was fantastic.

The waffles were fluffy, I got the backyard barbecue. The sources are amazing compliments the waffles really well, and the pulledpoke was quite juicy. I also had the strawberry twist.

I also got the peach cobbler waffle so decadent not too sweet at all. It was really hard for me not to eat every piece.

If you are reading reviews and wondering if you should go trust me you should go. It’s kind of a hole in the wall type. There’s a lot of construction in the area but you will not miss it. Enjoy

Don't let the renovations of downtown scare you away from the awesome breakfast/brunch getaway. Great atmosphere with a downtown, smooth jazz, vibe. Gourmet waffles to order and omlettes if waffles aren't in your flavor mood. Mike greeted us as if we were family or friends visiting his home. Jerome took our order and we found a seat. There is a sign that says, "we are not a fast food restaurant. Your food is made fresh every order. Please be patient." However, it wasn't very long before we were presented with some of the the best waffles I've EVER had the pleasure of eating. Just enough crispiness on the outside, but super light and fluffy on the inside. Truly amazing! While they were on the sweet side with fruit it wasn't overly sweet. The freshly made whipped cream garnished with mint leaves made the meal over the top! Super friendly staff and a warm, cozy and inviting establishment.

I was looking for a breakfast spot for my wife to start our day of anniversary. I Googled and saw the ratings and food images for Cafe 8, and decided that this would be the place.
We walked in and we were the only customers, so I was a tad skeptical. We were greeted upon entering, looked over the menu and placed our order at the counter.
I ordered the Salmon croquettes, and my wife ordered a custom veggie omelette.
Everything is made fresh, so we took our seats, and a few minutes later our food arrived.
Everything is waffled shaped, didn’t know this, including my side of eggs.
The food was delicious!! I didn’t add anything additional barely used the provided condiments.
I inquired about the weekend crowd and told that it gets hectic, thankfully our anniversary fell on a Monday.
If you made it this far thanks for reading my review and do yourself a favor and patronize Cafe 8😋

So glad my boyfriend and I found this cafe. The food was absolutely amazing we have been talking about it all day. The chicken wrap was hands down the best one I’ve ever had and my boyfriend’s patty melt was just as good. You also can’t beat the quality of the food with the price point. Customer service was also 10/10. The young woman who took our order was so nice and really helped us pick out our food with recommendations. The chef was also so nice and was busting out orders on a busy Saturday with incredible ease. You need to try this local Augusta restaurant!

Service with a smile. I felt welcomed upon entering . The owners were very nice and recommended other places downtown for future eats. Thanks for superb service! They also have an Event space for rent for meetings or parties. It's worth the stop , the waffles are one of a kind and memorable.

My son and I wanted to try something different. They sell mainly brunch. The service was great! Food is great. I think they need to add eggs and/or fruit to their dishes. But great overall. I will return soon. I had the shrimp quesadilla and the salmon and grit waffle.

An amazing small gourmet waffle bar in downtown Augusta. All of the food that we had tasted great and was a pleasure to eat. Service was excellent as well and the prices were quite fair. Definitely worth the trip for breakfast or brunch.

This place *slaps*! The coffee is fresh locally roasted. The base waffle is Belgian style - thick and fluffy. I had the "peach cobbler" waffle this morning, but there are some interesting looking savory waffles on the menu. And they make omelettes in the waffle iron - more like "womelettes".

Room for improvement? Thicker bacon, and warm the peach cobbler.

Augusta peeps, they're on the block of 8th that's closed for construction, and their sign is easy to miss. The street number, however, is obvious.

Give them a visit. Really nice owners. Really good eats

This place is AMAZING! A full menu of yumminess, and all done on waffle irons!? Brilliant! I’m having the “Down Home”, and mouth and tummy couldn’t be happier. Get here now, and enjoy!

Breakfast and brunch lovers rejoice! If you love waffles-this is the place for you! We had our order fairly quick and had lovely interactions with the gentleman making the food and drinks. The coffees we had were delicious, we ended up picking out 3 waffles because we couldn’t decide and we were NOT disappointed. Down home waffle 9/10, cauliflower parm waffle 8/10, cinnamon waffle was 15/10 🤌🏼🤌🏼. Lots of cute places to sit inside or outside. They also have order ahead of needed. Go check these guys out!

What an amazing foodie experience!! While this is a new business with great plans for expanding; the present food experience is beyond GREAT! We had the grits waffle with shrimp ( who could remember the name?) ASTONISHINGLY GREAT and the Peach Cobbler waffle was also excellent. Dallas, the owner and Jerome, the incredible chef were beyond friendly and informative . The area is waiting to undergo renovations but feels wonderful.

What a unique concept! I have visited COE multiple times this week and I am never disappointed. The food here is so good. The cinnamon waffle with a salted caramel coffee is my ultimate go to! Can't wait to go back and try more yummy food.

Special shout-out to COE wrap, The Down Home, and always, always, ALWAYS GET EXTRA COE SAUCE. It's *chefs kiss* a for sure you right on.

First time here and the food was great. I had The Down Home which was pretty savory and came with a kind of hot sauce spread and syrup. Overall would definitely get again.
My wife had the Peach Cobbler waffle which was also pretty good. The peach topping tasted great and seemed homemade.

In town during our travels and saw all the different ways they make waffles and it piqued my interest! We have never seen a place recreate waffles in such a way and we are travelling the country! Not only was the food amazing (tried the Southern Smile & Backyard BBQ-which is a special, so get it while you can!), but the service was wonderful! We got to chat with the owners and they were so kind (especially with my indecisiveness 😅). I have no doubt that this place will be a staple in Augusta. Support local businesses and enjoy!

My friend had the low country waffle and I had the cheeseburger waffle. This was my first foray into savory instead of sweet waffles and they did not disappoint! The low country waffle was a little salty, but the other flavors were on point and the cornmeal in the batter was light, fluffy and not the least bit gritty. My waffle had all the cheeseburger flavors suspended in an airy batter cooked to perfection. The owners were attentive to our needs, friendly, and receptive to feedback. Bathroom was unisex and clean. Will be back for sure!

This place is new and when I tell you the food is amazing and unique it truly is. I had the low country waffle, chicken waffle wrap and avocado toast waffle. They all taste great. The customer service is excellent. Love the soft jazz/ blues instrumental playing in the background. Try this place for brunch you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I decided to try something new for brunch. What a wonderful gem we found. The atmosphere was relaxing and friendly. They explained the menu and what to expect. You are able to watch them make you meal! The Chef was focused and prepared everything with attention to details for the presentation - who would have thought so much could go into a waffle. The one thing they did not prepare us for was how WONDERFUL the food tasted! My wife had the avocado toast which was a savory delight and I had the Peach Cobbler Waffle - Just wow. I am already looking forward to our next visit.

Stopped in during lunch on tour to check it out and if I weren’t only here for a day I would be coming back! Innovative menu, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, and on a perfect day to sit outside… definitely recommend for a brunch spot.
(I accidentally started to dig in before taking the photo… presentation was on point as well)

Omg this place rocks! ***Almost everything is waffle-shaped. Please don't give them less than a 5 star review just for that, they deserve better!*** Was recommended to us by a friend. I ordered the Down Home because I don't often get good collard greens. My husband ordered the Southern Smile and I was jealous. We also got a side of salmon croquette because why not!? We were on our way out of town and knew we wouldn't get to try them again soon. Every time we are in Augusta we're going to come back.
