Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Went here with friends that live in Maui on a Sunday night when dishes are half price. Need to line up before 5 to get seated. Pricing is good until I think 5:30. Sushi was great as well as other seafood dishes. Seating and service was fast. Note! Location had changed from previous Google maps site, check website.

This place is a jewel. Very stoked we found it for quality sushi. There’s no frills about the spot but the things that matter they got right. The sushi and service are on point.

If you want tasty sushi then this place is for you.
We had an excellent meal here. Some of the stand outs were butter fish, dynamite shrimp, and my favorite was the Hawaiian roll. My husband really enjoyed the butter fish. We would definitely come back here!!

Great service, excellent food! Got there and was promptly seated. We ordered some sushi rolls, panko crusted ahi, 30 day dry aged ribeye, and apple tart for dessert. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Go in and ask for Jar. She's been working there for over 14 years and will recommend great dishes. Support local and dine here for your next family meal.

Felt like sushi on our last night in Maui had the great fortune to find this gem on google map!
Since we didn’t have a reservation they could only seat us at the sushi bar which was a score!
Host was fantastic and reviewed some of his favourites with us which we did end up choosing most of them.
WOW! I’m worried every sushi meal after this will never compare!

New Location.. Fantastic Experience! I've been a fan of Sansei's from the early days of their old location and had the pleasure of returning to the new spot and they haven't missed a beat! The service, the food and the new location was exemplary! Can't say enough about how happy we were to return to this establishment and enjoy and great meal with familiar faces from back in the day. Cant go wrong here...Enjoy we did!

11/04/16: 4.5 out 5 - Just as good as when we first tried Sansei a few days ago. This time I wanted try something different. Tried the New York Steak. It was so very good! Must try...now will return in a few hours for the Happy Hour Sushi!

Nice place! Sushi and sashimi were excellent. We sat at the bar. Service was a little slower there than tables but not unpleasantly so. Would have given four stars due to gnats (tiny flies) in my cocktails (2). I asked to see the bottles and both gin and scotch had dead gnats in the bottom of the bottle. I told the bartender and management comped all the alcohol. I still recommend this place. The sushi was great and reasonably priced.

Some of the freshest yummiest sushi that I've ever had. I went twice because that's how much I love the place. I would recommend asking for the sushi bar seats, the staff is friendly there and they tell you about the catch they have.

We came here on a Sunday around 4ish. On their first hour of business, they had 50 percent off of almost their entire menu! (except drinks, specialty items, and kids menu items) do yourself a favor and drop by and get their dynamite shrimp. If you're trying to go for their 50% off make sure you show up at least 45 minutes before they open or you'll miss it! It's first come first served and people start lining up an hour early. It's totally worth it.

All we ordered was very good quality and tasted very right, we had tuna and toro sashimi ( greatly fresh), ahi carpaccio (delicious sauce), mango roll ( kind of salad), yellow submarine roll, special sansei roll. Service was friendly and superfast, we’ll return for sure.

Sansei is a great place on Maui for fresh and beautifully prepared sushi. Also, on Sunday and Monday, they have an earlybird special from 5pm to 6pm, 50% off on most of the menu. Get in line early !!!

I had dinner here with my two friends on a Monday night. This place was suggested to us by one of the locals. The ambiance was very welcoming and friendly. We sat at the sushi bar and were treated very good by all the employees. The sushi was fantastic! So fresh, and all the food came out within 5 minutes of ordering it. We ordered several items including the crème brûlée as dessert, but we took very few pictures. The sushi roll in our picture is called the Samurai. This review is to truly show our appreciation for the restaurant and for the staff. We would most definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves good food and good service.

This is a great Japanese restaurant serving a great variety of food. They are easily able to accommodate food allergies. The portions were sizeable and the service was great. It can get very busy, so I suggest making a reservation. I definitely recommend this place.

Hands down the best seafood restaurant I've been to! They offer quite a wide selection of dishes and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I've visited several times and the quality remains consistent. Can seem a bit pricey, but that's because it is a high quality restaurant. Highly recommend!

Update: As of 2020, Sansei has moved to a new location, much nicer with big windows to let in light, more parking and near the theater!

Very large selection of choices, from Sashimi to Duck! I love that they offer fresh Quail Eggs.
Take note, there is an early bird special Tuesday thru Saturday from 5:30 to 6:00 25% off most menu items and Sunday and Monday, same time, 50% off!!! Doesn't include alcohol and other asterisked items!!
Great service, easy parking, fresh food!

Outstanding food! Place is busy, but servers are good, sushi chefs and kitchen are fast. I eat sushi weekly and this is some of the best I’ve ever had.

My wife and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary here and the sushi is on point. They had some sort of smoked salmon with a sauce on the top of it, straight up fire. I'll definitely come here again on vacation.

Amazing sushi and great prices if you go at happy hour since most of the menu is half priced! Beer was a bit expensive ($10 for a Japanese bottle) but other than that it was great. Would recommend the Bagel rolls
