Jawz Mexican Grill

During our stay on Maui, we stumbled upon this gem of a Mexican restaurant, and it quickly became our daily go-to spot. I must say, it surpassed all expectations and easily ranks as the best Mexican food I've ever had. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and the authenticity of the cuisine transported us straight to Mexico. From the hearty burritos to the flavorful tacos, every bite was a delight. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you're on Maui and craving some exceptional Mexican fare, do yourself a favor and pay this restaurant a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Jawz is by far the friendliest restaurant in Maui with it’s caring and friendly staff. I ordered burritos, nachos, and tacos and they were all spectacularly made. I was amazed at the size of the burrito and they were accommodating with the adjustments I made to the burrito. The best part was their cheap prices and free water! Love supporting local businesses in Maui, especially if they are close to my condo! Huge thanks to the staff!

WOW! food is seriously amazing. super authentic coming from a Hispanic person. I got the wet burrito steak Ranchero and it's so big... a little expensive but definitely worth it! the man who served us was very nice and was fast with giving us our food.

Best food of our trip so far! I loved all the salsas especially the green. My husband got the chicken taco salad and I got the steak tacos island style with cilantro rice. Delicious!

I eat here all the time. It’s kind of hidden around the corner, but don’t give up it is worth it! I feel like I am getting more than I paid for. It is so fresh with incredible flavors. A real Hawaiian tropical Mexican fusion. Love this place.

I rarely give 5 star to restaurants but this place is a real gem. We accidentally found it and we are really happy.
The food was so good. So happy and satisfied with the food . The owner is really kind and helpful. He really helped us out with the menu explaining everything.

Cute little place right around the corner in the dolphin plaza. The service was super fast and friendly and the tacos al pastor were fresh, hot, and delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Rice and beans were good and plentiful as well. Perfect lunch!

I love this place the food is really good it's fresh and not heavy the gentleman who was working is extremely kind! You should definitely eat here! The cilantro rice and the fish & shrimp tacos as well as the pork wet burrito are delicious and filling! Haven't had Mexican food like this in a while!

As close as you can get to authentic on Maui. Large servings and pretty fast service. I eat here whenever I’m in the area.

Nice place to get a good bite. Staff was friendly, service fairly quick and food was fresh. We had the Blackened Mahi taco plate and the pineapple teriyaki tofu taco plate, with black beans and cilantro rice. The food was delicious. Would recommend it for sure. We might go back to try other stuff too.

We actually googled Best shrimp Tacos on Maui and JAWZ Mexican Grill came up and they are 100 yards from our condo . Unbelievably tasty , large portion of succulent shrimp, accompanied with lime cilantro salsa and a red salsa. Hot and delicious. We have been here a month and go home in 4 days but i will squeeze in another round of Shrimp Tacos . Highly recommend!

Amazing! There were 6 of us and we all loved our food. Wet burritos, quesadillas and fish tacos were all amazing. The service was awesome. Atmosphere is fine just not fancy. This place is worth finding hidden in the back of a little strip mall.

Casual and delicious! The owners are super nice and happy to accommodate your dietary needs. We had the taco salad with shrimp and the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. I saw the fajitas and they looked amazing as well! Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, super fast service, delish fresh homely food! I got veggie fajita bowl (they don’t have on menu but just tell them no tortilla/ plated) and my husband got veggie quesadillas - we enjoyed our meals! Would come back to this place.

Firstly the food here tastes amazing. The salsas are especially good. Secondly, I went here and ordered a couple of customized tacos I had wanted, and they were super accommodating. What made the experience even more superb and very personal was they added an extra taco, chips and salsa for me which I truly appreciated. They had no idea I was so hungry and feeling it, so that really helped! Fave tacos I have had in Maui.

Tucked away in the corner next to Maui Fish and Chips, this Is the real thing. Not TexMex, but true Mexican food. I've eaten here a few times. Always great food and friendly service.

Everything that we got was delicious. We got fries, fish tacos, a steak burrito, & street tacos. Everything was great! We didn't have to wait too long and they have a nice little dining area. You can just sit down and they will bring your food out to you, which is great! They do have restrooms here, you just have to ask for the key at the cashier. It's in a nice little area and we had no problem finding a table to sit at and it wasn't too loud there.

Don't listen to all the people who gave this place one Stars they're obviously not from around here and they obviously think that this is some sort of five-star restaurant that they're supposed to be ritzing it up like a movie star... This is a taco shack it's inexpensive and an extraordinarily delicious period if you don't understand that then you don't understand that you're on the beach at Maui . If you want something that is very expensive and you have to wear a suit and tie I would invite you to go back to the kaanapali Ali and put on your suit and tie! For the rest of us will enjoy the taco shack and our delicious food... That's just more for us less for you jerks!
